Jack and Brian were super friendly and honest. They really knew about cars and the nitty-gritty of them. They work on the cars as well as selling. They have good quality cars too. Such a great experience after other bad experiences.

Thanks again!

We have now bought 4 cars there over the past 15 or 20 years, and have recommended them to some friends too. So far I'd say we've had nothing but great luck. I like that they have a low pressure sales approach compared to some other places we've gone into, and the buying process is pretty simple since they don't have a bunch of fees. Thanks again Brian, and we'll be talking pickups in no time I'm sure! Casey

Thumb up!

O'Connell Motors made buying a car easy. Brian was a nice guy and actually picked me up from the train station. No run around. No hidden costs.

Toyota purchase

One stop shopping for me. Referred by a friend. They were easy to do business with and even picked me up from the commuter rail.

Fantastic Experience

I'm new to the area and just bought a car from O'Connell Motors. It was a pleasant experience and the owner, Brian, went out of his way to guide me thru the process. My car runs great. I feel lucky to have found my way to such a professional used car dealer.

Not a fan.

Purchased a Honda sedan. Windshield leaked on drivers side of car. We had rain within the first week of purchase. If we had not we would never have known we had an issue. Brian tried his handy work with some silicone sealant. I had an auto body guy look at it . The real way to fix it was to have the windshield replaced. But Brian insisted the silicone would do the trick. Well we tried the silicone with no luck. We came to an agreement to at least he refund me some money for a new windshield. The agreement came with much attitude from Brian.

Best experience!

I don't usually do this but wanted to write a review of O'Connell Motors. I recently purchased my Toyota from them and it was such a pleasant experience. They are far from the typical used car dealership. What a professional and friendly bunch. Every car I looked at was in mint condition and sparkling clean. They have very high standards. I highly recommend you check them out. I know I will be back!

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!

I didn't even want to give this place one star but I couldn't get the review in any other way! Bought a car on 7/8/14. Car engine blew on 7/15/14 (only 2nd day of driving it) and I had the car towed back to O'Connell. They put a new engine in and asked me for $100 cash. When I went to pick car up, an elderly man was there and when I asked him for the paperwork saying how many miles the new engine had, he told me he had no idea what I was talking about and that if I bought a car with 80K miles he guaranteed the owner, Brian, would only put a similar or less mileage one in it. I knew this was false because last I had heard the engine had 97K. So when I told the guy that, he got nervous and just kept saying that I would need to speak to Brian, but that he wasn't there that day. I didn't leave the $100 cash because the man seemed a little spacey (I had to find my own keys in the office because he couldn't), and he didn't ask me for any money, and I knew I would need to go back the very next day to pick up the paperwork because we bought a car with 80K miles and wanted proof that the new engine had the same and we weren't getting screwed over. On my way home with the "fixed" car I noticed an awful smell that literally made me sick and had to drive with the windows down. The emission light was also on. Obviously the car was not fixed and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that. I called the very next morning and got the same elderly man. He said Brian was not there. I explained the circumstances and he just kept repeating that I would need to speak to Brian but he was at auction because it was Monday. I asked to please leave Brian a message letting him know all my complaints and to have him get back to me ASAP. The next day when I didn't get a call back, I called Brian in the afternoon. He basically told me that unless I give him $100 CASH, he refused to even look at the car let alone fix it. He then proceeded to tell me that "if my stupid kid didn't drive it until it overheated none of this would be happening!" Okay genius, the only way to know when a car is going to overheat is WHEN IT DOES!!! And then it's too late already! The car was junk from the get go and this joker just won't acknowledge that. I gave him numerous opportunities to change his mind and do the right thing and he wasn't budging. I told him if he wouldn't take the car back and fix it, he left me no choice but to call my attorney. He said "go ahead!" So now my attorney is involved. Also contacted the BBB and the Attorney General. I now have a lemon taking up space in my driveway that cost me $4300 plus all the registry fees. This place is a total rip off, this guy is a complete unreasonable crazy person who has no social skills or customer service skills. BUYER BEWARE!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK! LITERALLY WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!

I will return for my next car :)

I went to this dealership looking for a toyota corolla in august of 2008. I bought a 1995 corolla with 83000 miles.the car was clean and in good condition.I paid a fair price for the car considering how toyota corolla hold their value. I now have 269000 miles on it almost 6 years later. my daily commute to and from work is about 110 miles. this car has never let me down.I live quite a distance from this dealership (webster ma) but am planning on going back this august to purchase another car from them. They have a nice selction of quality used cars and my first experience with them will bring me back for a second time.

My first time buying from them, as I've always bought...

My first time buying from them, as I've always bought from "big" dealerships. I have to say I wouldn't want to visit another "big name" dealer anytime soon. I came in on a slow snow covered Saturday and expressed interest to Ed about an 04' Avalanche, we had a good conversation and because of the nature of my visit I also had a trade in and would need to see Brian. I said I would be back the following day to take the truck to my mechanic. Snow came on that Sunday and I still trucked down to say I wouldn't be taken it that day and wait until Monday when the weather cleared up. It was this time I met Jack, who was a pleasure to deal with as well. Finally Monday rolls around I pop down meet brian go over my questions which he answered spot on and with pure honesty. The truck went to my mechanic while he looked over my trade and I came back with a couple of questions which we resolved and I bought the truck on the spot. Now, let me explain the honesty of this dealership, I over paid for the vehicle by accident by $100, a lot of people would've banked the money and moved on. Within 10 minutes of leaving the dealership Brian had me on the line saying that I over paid as he hadn't seen that on Saturday I left a deposit. I came back and was met with the 100 dollars from my deposit, and a firm handshake thanking me for my business. I would use this company for all my future purchases, you cannot buy the level of integrity from these guys.
