we have a great Crosstrek and a great car buying experience

We love our new car.. Seth was very helpful in the buying process..Especially for a senior citizen woman who hadn't gone through the car buying process,

Vacation Subaru!

A big thank you to Seth Leifer and everyone at Lester Glenn Subaru for making my spur-of-the-moment purchase of a 2017 Crosstrek so painless! No pressure, but all the help I needed to make a great deal and drive back to the beach in my new Subaru. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new car. My new Crosstrek is a great souvenir from our annual vacation to the Jersey Shore!

Fantastic sales experience, service.... less so

We bought a Certified used 2014 Crosstrek loaner car with low mileage with the full bumper to bumper warranty. The sales and credit manager experience is the best I've had since I bought my first new car in 1963. Alas... came the "free oil change for life experience". At the second change (abt 20000 miles) we were told the car needed a new EGR valve. Since the car ran like a top, had no engine light codes and still got the same gas mileage as ever, I declined the about $200 repair bill. I took the car to a mechanic I've been using for 20 years and paid him to check the EGR valve and he said... nothing wrong. After the next free oil change we were told we only had 4 total free oil changes and when we showed them the bill for the first free oil change which clearly said... free oil change for life, ( as did the original sales pitch and sales contract) we were told, " Oh that's just something the computer generated" The car now has 76,000 miles on it with the original EGR valve. When I had a tire damaged due to a road hazard last fall and had them check out the tire, they inspected the brakes and said I "was due for rear disc pads soon, did I want to take care of it now?". I declined... I now take my car to my regular mechanic and when I asked him about the rear disc pads last month (5/17), he said... maybe next oil change ( 7,600 mile interval). The great sales experience was marred by their relentless up selling anytime you get near the service department. They are courteous and polite about it almost to a fault, but.... Personally, I'm particularly annoyed by "service up selling" a politically correct way of saying... selling you what you really don't NEED. My 3 star rating as an overall is an average of: 5 stars for buying it... zero for service.

Great Dealership

Whad a wonderful experience leasing our Subaru Outback. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. We will certainly recommend Lester Glen Subaru to our friends. We will return again.

Non stressful, easy and honest.

Having done business with the Buick/GM folks I found the Subaru guys just as helpful, friendly, and non-pushy. I only have two dealerships that I would rate excellent and The Lester Glenn Group is one of them. Seth, Ron and Donato made the whole experience pleasant and easy. Lester Glenn has figured it out.

Very pleasant to work with

Seth was my salesman and he was very friendly and informative without being pushy. I had seen many cars on their website and he was willing to take me to other dealerships Lester Glenn owns to find the exact car I wanted. I went in looking for a pre-owned Subaru and when we went inside to look at his computer for the online cars I saw, their showroom prices were so great I bought a 2017 model. Lester Glenn is the regional dealership for Costco and what a great discount this gave me! Ron, the sales manager who came out to help Seth finalize a sale also was very friendly without feeling pushy. I had been in another car dealership earlier in the week and the manager who greeted me there instantly made me feel like I wanted to run, that it was going to be a stereotypical experience. Ron did not make me feel anything but comfortable and relaxed in my decision. I definitely would go back to Lester Glenn and recommend them to anyone. Plus 0% interest for 3 years and 2 years free oil changes!!

It's not yoga!

Buying a car can be stressful. How come? Well, I have always thought of it as an expensive, time consuming, intrusive process. But Mark Bellotti, Seth Leifer and Patrick Pirouette, a friendly, super patient and extremely professional team, sold us a beautiful car in pristine condition with low mileage at a great low price. If I entered their showroom with reluctance, I left with smiles and an appreciation for what a great sales team can do. Buying a car is not yoga, but this team flexed my attitude a hundred percent. Thank you!

Greatest car buying experience ever!

Excellent experience

I honestly couldn't be happier with the recent purchase of my new Subaru Forester and the folks at Lester Glenn Subaru in Toms River. Our salesman Greg Geran was excellent at helping me find my perfect vehicle! It was also a pleasure to deal with Donato Jensen and Andrew Thomlinson.
