DON'T BUY ANY CAR FROM CARPROS!

DON'T BUY ANY CAR FROM CARPROS! ☹ CARPROS violated the Cal. Veh. Code § 4456.1(b) and Veh. Code § 5753(c)(1). CARPROS also Perjured themselves in Court. I lost out on a $3,500 Clean Vehicle Rebate, because no one at CARPROS provided me with the simple Purchase Agreement after multiple requests in writing, and over the phone. I paid a premium for the car, then after I made an agreement, I received responses from other dealerships that offered to sell me the exact vehicle for over $2,000 less than what I paid, but I honored my verbal agreement. I spoke with an attorney who highly recommended that I pursue CARPROS in Small Claims Court to recover my $3,500.00 loss, and that I file a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the DMV, which I did. On 12/9/22 the CVRP reserved a $3,500.00 rebate for me, but then because no one from CARPROS provided me with the Purchase Agreement (I was calling and emailing the dealership every day), on 12-23-22 I was denied the rebate, and cannot reapply.

Junk dealer

I went to look at a jeep grand cherokee limited with the ecodiesel as it only had 85k miles listed. The vehicle was in very rough shape with multiple broken parts, a badly damaged rear bumper they said was "minimal" (no it was obvious that it had been badly smacked into something or rear ended). The door hinge was shot, most electronics were worn out, the fuel door was broken off and jammed into its hole, and they had not even cleaned the previous owners used tissues and trash out of the center console. Test drive was okay but you could feel it needed some tlc. Show stopper was check engine light. The early ecodiesels have several known issues such as a bad egr and the high pressure fuel pump that have recalls. Dealer admitted they had not checked as they didnt want to spend any money and a "friendly" mechanic had looked at it and told him they just had to drive it "real hard" for a while because he believed it was a plugged exhaust line. They didnt even bother to find out what the engine code really meant. Simply put, this is not only unethical, it is highly dangerous. The egr is one of the most notorious failures on these engines and if you "run it hard" trying to clear it you can blow the seals and flood the cabin with toxic gas at best or start an engine fire that will destroy the vehicle and possibly injure people at worst. The flippant disregard for their customers time, money, and safety is apparent. They sell garbage, they know they sell garbage, and they dont care. There are better dealerships, xxxx there are better roach coach shops in albuquerque, dont waste your money on this one.

Bad Experience

I had a bad experience when I bought a car from this dealer. I felt like I was being into buying the car I got from this dealer. I told the salesman I wanted to be careful and not be rushed into buying a car so I could buy a car that was good on gas and in good condition. When they called me and told me they got a car that they thought I would like and they thought it would be a good car for me. I went to the lot to look at it and they said it had an inspection and that it was a good car for me. I told them it was a big car and would probably take alot of gas and they said it was good on gas. They kept telling me what a good car it was so they talked me in to buying the car. I never even got to drive the car before I bought it. The next day after I bought the car I realized that it had the left headlight out. I went to an auto parts store to see how much the headlight would be for it and they said it was $169.99 and that a mechanic would have to put it in. I took it to a mechanic the next day and he told me it needed the ballast and headlight both and it would cost $650. I've never heard of it costing that much to replace a headlight assembly! Also my traction control light was on and my brake light was on along with engine light. My sister called the car lot and was told that Hubert would call her back. Two weeks later he hadn't called so she called and talked to Hubert and told him all about what was going on with the car. He said his mechanic was off for two weeks and he would call her when his mechanic came back to work but we haven't heard anything from him and it's been about two months since then. My sister recommended the car lot to me and we thought they were honest but they haven't been honest with us. He knew that I'm a senior citizen when he sold me the car and that I needed a dependable car cuz I don't get alot of income and can't afford expensive repairs. I feel like I got ripped off by them! I wouldn't refer anyone to their car lot!

Fantastic to deal with!!

These guys were great to deal with. They made the process super easy and made me feel right at home. My credit is not the best but they didn't make a big deal out of that and the whole deal was so much easier than I ever expected.
