I had a problem with the car no one could fix (2 repair shops). Someone recommended East Granby Motors. I should have turned around and gone back to search for another repair shop. This place was (is) a dump. However, I gave them a try. The owner told me the problem could be fixed. It wasn't. That's after they kept it for a week. A replacement I needed was done, but I now have another problem since they worked on it. They made an "adjustment" that lasted for a couple of weeks. Again, same problem, same "adjustment". I can't trust this car to go any more than 5-10 miles each time I use it. I had thoughts of buying a used car from them next year. I changed my mind. If I can't trust them to repair my car, how can I trust their "warranty"?

Integrity and remarkable value.
Purchased a car as a gift for my son and it was perfect ...and within our budget. When his battery failed at college in New Hampshire they reimbursed him 100%. Over the Christmas break he brought it in and they verified the rest of the car was still fine and changed the oil for free. It's a busy place and I see why. We are impressed!

terrible. be warned
This place is terrible. Terrible service. Terrible attitude. Terrible mechanics. I'm glad I know how to work on cars because their workmanship is horrific. Their warrantee and all that is way too good to be true. I should have run when I had the chance. The owner is a politician. That should tell you all you need to know. As soon as they have your money they want nothing to do with you. I bought a car and brought it back for a check engine light several times and all they did was reset it. Every time. You should also know that each time I dropped my car off they kept it for weeks at a time. If I could give zero stars I would. If you need to call them don't bother leaving a message they won't call you back. Buyers be warned. I wish I just bought my subaru from a private owner with records rather than put up with this dealer's nonsense.

Amazing
We were in the market for a used Subaru for my daughter to take to college in the fall. East Granby Motors were the only one's willing to warranty a car in my price range. ($6-8,000). I left a small deposit on a 2005 4 door , and they did all the maintenance in 4 days, timing belt, new tires, brakes, etc. I was impressed and my daughter was too! It was much nicer then she expected. I drove the car for 2 weeks after picking it up and and found it actually rode smoother then my 2008 Honda Civic. One other thing I noticed was they didn't charge a prep fee which I've always paid elsewhere. ( $350 for my civic), even though the did a lot more before I picked it up, including registration. I will definitely buy another car there. They could use a bigger lot considering how busy they are, but they seem to make it work. Also thanks to my neighbor Paul who recommended Mike as a "straight shooter", he certainly is.
