They Make it Right!

I normally don't post reviews but I felt like because of the above and beyond customer service experience I've received, they deserve a shoutout! I'm from the valley area in WI and I purchased a 2018 Hyundai Tucson from TJ's Auto on July 8th, 2021. The sales department was fantastic, not pushy at all. A few short months later there was something going on with my brakes and brought it into a local dealership to get them looked at. My brakes were completely shot - metal on metal. Because it was so unsafe to drive off the lot and TJ's was 2 hours away, they sent a check directly to me to cover the cost of what it would be for them to fix. I received the check in a timely amount of time as well. I'm so beyond happy with the experience I've had with TJ's. They take care of you as much as they are able and always want to make it right.

Rip off and rude.

Rip off and rude. The sales department tried to convince me that salvage title has no effect on value and that other vehicles of the same make model and year for sale in the area are "not an accurate representation of the market, nor are price books such as Kelley blue book". When I did not buy into that logic the sales person called me nonsense and became rude to the point that I had to block their number.

Do not purchase from TJ's!

My fiance and I purchased a 2006 F-150 form TJ's in November and have had nothing but problems with it. We noticed the bearings were going out two weeks after we brought it home and asked them if they could give us a deal to fix them and of course they couldn't. We have been having problems with the 4 wheel drive and the truck has a hard time turning left. The box of the truck started shaking loose about a month after purchasing the truck also. It is almost like they did temporary fixes to make the car sellable. We didn't want to spend a ton of money on it right after buying it so we are hesitant to fix these problems. However, we just spent over $300 to have a new fuel pump module and other items put in. We take great care of our vehicles and this vehicle is only driven 10 miles a day and is always in a heated garage so it is very disappointing to have so many problems with it so soon after buying it. We have never had such problems with any other vehicles. We feel like idiots for buying this vehicle, don't buy from TJ's!

DG, we have no records of you contacting us about any problems with your truck. We at TJ's Auto would never leave any of our customers hanging with a vehicle problem. We go out of our way to ensure we have satisfied customers who will come back in the future to buy from us again.

Will never recommend

We did not purchase a vehicle from TJs, however we were in need of a mechanic for our truck and an acquaintance told us about TJs so, being new in town, we took it there. We were given a quote of $250 out the door - parts, labor and tax - for the work needed but when we picked the vehicle up a few days later, we were given a bill for $311 - $61 more than what was quoted. Worse than that was that NO ONE would explain to us where the difference in price arose from nor were we able to speak to a supervisor or owner to see if they could provide an explanation even after making repeated requests. We will not only never take any vehicle back there for repair (obviously) but we will strongly recommend AGAINST them whenever we have the opportunity to do so. They are the epitome of why most people don't like dealing with repair shops or trust mechanics in general.

Dealer response

We didn't have a used altenator from our parts dept. to install in this vehicle which was recommended. My next step was to order a reman altenator from Carquest as to get this customer back on the road ASAP, my only mistake was not calling and informing the customer that an altenator from carquest would cost more than a used altenator from our used parts dept. We did refund the customer $30.00 for half the price difference of the $61.00.

Buyer's Beware - No title after 16 + months

I would like to share my story so it don't happen to you. I purchased a 2007 Cadillac Escalade from TJ's Auto & Collision on December 12, 2011 (the date is correct - 2011) and to this date May 5 , 2013 I have not been deivered a clear vehicle title. This disaster has now been going on for almost 17 months and I can't tell you how many phone calls with broken promises. Yes, I did pay 100% of the purchase price when I received the vehicle in 2011. I have asked many times how they can expect to sell vehicles if they can't deliver a title to the buyer and they just continue to blame other people. No good responses, just keep waiting. I have asked them to come and get the vehicle with a full refund of purchase price and they want to charge me thousands of dollars for use of the vehicle - I would not of bought the vehicle if title could not be granted? This whole process has been a disaster and I would never recommend them to my worst enemy. Becare if you are thinking of buying a vehicle here!

Good customer service & purchase experience

I had stopped by this lot serveral times as I was looking for something specific. Each time I was pleasantly greeted and made to feel welcome. When they expressed to me that they had obtained what I was looking for, they worked very diligently to make it just as I wanted. They were more than accomodating with the trade-in experience and made all the tedious minor adjustments to the vehicle I was looking for, as I was set on purchasing it exactly how I wanted the vehicle. I have wandered through many dealerships (big brand to one man shops)and as a smaller car lot they had excellent customer service. They were very good on follow-through and I recommend TJ's Auto with no reservations.

Good purchase & customer service experience

I had been keeping my eyes on this dealer as I had been looking for something very specific. Every time I wandered their lot I was pleasantly greeted and the staff was very helpful. After a few months they found exactly what I was looking for and were very helpful in making the purchase process very smooth and were very accomodating. They gave me a very fair trade-in value and made sure I was completely happy with any concerns or questions I had with the vehicle. TJ's Auto is a smaller operation for a dealership but has a focus on customer service unlike I had experienced at many other area car lots or big-brand dealerships. These guys do very well with follow-through and I recommend them without any reservations.

Outstanding customer service!!!

I had been in the market for a used car for several months, and I knew my search was over the second I pulled into TJ's auto. They had the exact vehicle I was looking for, parked neatly and finely detailed. The salesman was exceedingly helpful, and was able to walk me though financing and other steps needed to get me in my new used car as quickly and painlessly as possible. I even got more than I thought for my trade! I would strongly suggest going to TJ's before any other dealership. A+++++++++++++++++++++
