I am so glad that I chose Ledet's Auto in Gonzales

I am so glad that I chose Ledet's Auto in Gonzales, La to purchase my first car! Everyone was welcoming and worked really hard to have everything taken care of. The process was not long and it was handled in a professional manner. The most important thing is that they worked with me to get me the car of my dreams. Mr. Reed was the car salesman that made all my dreams come true! I am happy with the service and I love my car! This is an experience I will never forget! It is with great pleasure to recommend Ledet's Auto Sales for purchasing your next vehicle. My personal experience with this dealership has given me a new outlook on the negative experiences I've had in the past with all other dealerships when it came time to search for a vehicle. Ledet's were very accommodating from the very beginning which consisted of an online request for information, after viewing their available vehicles on their website. The internet manager, Reed Brignac, was very quick to respond to my request, and answered all questions for me. With my busy schedule, and living an hour away from this dealership, Mr. Brignac was very accommodating in providing all information to me, via telephone and email, which included details about financing, comparable vehicles on the lot, warranty information and of course, every detail about the vehicle I was interested in. Once self-assured that this vehicle was "the one", all I had left to do was test drive before making my final decision. Arriving on the lot, I was welcomed by all members of the staff and immediately felt comfortable with no pressure from anyone. Mr. Brignac was very professional and knowledgeable in every aspect, in showing a variety of vehicles to me, comparing the one I was interested in. After making my final decision, and negotiating prices, the final paper work was done quickly and waiting for my signature with no long waiting period. Mr. Brignac made sure that my buying experience was done professionally and without any delays in delivering my vehicle, clean and looking brand new. Again, thank you all at Ledet's Auto Sales and Reed Brignac for the best car-buying experience ever. I will definitely be a repeat-customer.

Bad deal

Guess what? I can thank Ledet's for confirming that old "buyer beware" adage. They sold me a vehicle about 1 year ago. It was supposed to be "clean," great condition, etc. What they didn't tell me and what I didn't discover until after the fact was that it had been in a serious accident. No doubt in my mind that they knew, but until now I wasn't skeptical enough to imagine that the seeming nice "good old boys" were really just the caricature of the used car dealers that we've all heard one should avoid. AVOID THESE GUYS.

We are truly disappointed with this unfortunate and poor reaction to bad information. The information provided is absolutely incorrect, can be easily documented, and the customer refused all phone calls to discuss before this disheartening review was submitted. Let me explain: Gary, our customer, reached out to us electronically before posting this review. We took immediate action. We investigated, gathered information, and reached out with a proper explanation of the vehicle's history, but Gary ignored our calls. Here at Ledet's Auto Sales, we provide a CARFAX report with any vehicle for sale on our lot. You can verify this by going to my website, www.ledetsautos.com. Look through the inventory, and you will find a link to the CARFAX report on each and every car in inventory. We're proud of our reputation for reliable cars, and that is why we pay a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money for unlimited CARFAX reports, so that our cusotmer can feel confident in the vehicle they buy. I've checked the CARFAX on the vehicle Gary bought July of last year. It DOES have an accident within its history. Unfortunately, most 13 year old vehicles do. However, CARFAX clearly states that the incident was only MINOR damage. CARFAX labels an accident as MINOR DAMAGE when the damage consists of merely scratches and dents. We don't know who told Gary otherwise, but they were obviously incorrect. CARFAX rates the value of every vehicle based upon several criteria. Some of these are number of previous owners, previous application of use, maintenance history, and severity of any accidents that occurred. CARFAX clearly states that Gary's VW Beetle is worth $980 ABOVE RETAIL BOOK VALUE. This is likely because the owner previous to Gary was so adamant about regular maintenance, and got the maintenance items done at a dealership that reports to CARFAX. Furthermore, I looked into what Gary paid for this quality VW Beetle. Gary was an excellent negotiator, who was serviced by the best customer service team in the car business. Gary stretched the buying process out over two weeks, but was met with the ultimate in courtesy and patience. We EARN your business here, and that's what we did with Gary. When Gary drove off, he paid less than A THIRD of the average industry mark up. He got a GREAT deal! So, Gary bought a car from a dealer who did the following: 1) Provided two weeks of personal care to his car shopping experience. 2) Sold him a car judged by CARFAX to be worth $1,000 above retail value, due to the careful care taken of it by its previous owner. 3) Bought a valuable, European car at a FANTASTIC price. And Gary reacted by: 1) Sending us a nasty email a year later. 2) He ignored phone calls from his salesman, our General Manager, and the OWNER of Ledet's Auto Sales. All of them were intent to put his mind at ease with all of this GREAT NEWS. But were unable to do so. 3) And then he posted this inaccurate, terrible review. Gary, you're still welcome to return our phone calls. I am the Internet Sales Manager, and I'm happy to speak to you personally, as well as put you on the phone with Mr. Ledet. Please call me on my cell phone at (225) 921-9975. Believe it or not, I actually appreciate this review. As I sit here addressing it, I find that you've given me an opportunity to display just how TERRIFIC we are, instead of the contrary. Thank you for your business! I hope we'll see you again in the future.

Great experience

My car buying experience was excellent at Ledet's. Reed did a great job answering everything. And their place was a great experience.
