Sold a Lemon

We recently purchased a truck from Tony, a 2009 Ford Ranger. It was far from an easy experience. The truck was paid for in cash at $12,000, however he wrote $5000 on the bill of sale. A bit sketchy, but as a small business owner myself, I understand the hefty tax bill- so whatever. Anyway, we were driving up from CT to get the truck so we had to take care of all of the registration in CT. This took much longer than necessary because Tony had 'miswrote' the vin number (also sketchy). When we picked up the truck, the tires were low and the wipers had no blades - would have been nice if he had taken care of these things, but whatever- not a big deal. Two days later the check engine light came on. Now it's been about two weeks with the truck and there are major issues costing us close to $1000 and we also found out the 4WD is not functioning. I understand this is an older truck, but with Tony owning a mechanic shop- we figured he would at least be outright with the information. I guess not. He did offer to fix it, but it wouldn't be worth the drive and I can't say we'd trust the work done. There are a lot of scammers out there, people. Watch out. Lessons were learned, so at least we can thank him for that.

Best place to buy a small Truck, hands down!!!

The fact that they only sell these small Trucks clearly makes them better at buying them which results in a better Truck to buy, they have been there like 20 years so they will always be there when you need them, My family has bought 2 Rangers and a Colorado over the past few years and they stand behind what they sell! When I need another Truck or any vehicle I know I can go there and I'm done.. Brad
