Great customer service and professional service

I bought a new 2016 Toyota RAV4 and the service was very professional Victor Contreras the sales representative was great with good sense of humor he also answered any question I had. I will definitely recommend Mr Contreras at Putnam Toyota.

Expect to be disappointed

Poor sales skills and general attitude Salesman turned intro in to total turn off with his attitude Told not to call back if we wanted to negotiate price at all

Excellent service leasing a new Corolla

I did some research before I came in to lease a car. Had a few questions so called. Nader helped me. He answered quite a few questions promptly in back and forth emails. Then I actually came in to see the cars. Onsite Nader was VERY helpful: had good knowledge of the two vehicles I was interested in. He took A LOT of time with me and i feel helped me to make a really wise choice considering all the things I was looking for and needed. He was personable and very patient answering my dozens of questions. As a businesswoman I give him an A-Plus for professionalism and his gracious manner. This is the first time I have ever leased a car...quite different from buying, but I feel Nader and Putnam have done right by me again (in 2005 I bought my Scion xB from them)

Great New Car Buying Experience

I bought a new Scion xD from Putnam Scion (Burlingame, CA). The salesperson ,Victor Contreras, made the buying process easy and painless. Scion's Pure Price (fixed price with no haggling) made the vehicle price straightforward. However, my trade-in was something that had to be negotiated. Victor handled all the negotiations, which got rid of the "brutish closer" who would usually try to intimidate you into going for their super-low offer. There was minimal back-and-forth to perform the offer-counter-offer, and it was all done in a low-pressure, respectful manner. The finance manager, Michael Dobres, got me through the paperwork quickly and didn't try to bully or scare me into buying an extended warranty (though he did recommend one). This vehicle purchase was one of the quickest and most pleasant I've experienced. I would highly recommend this dealership.

Putnam did not respond to email requests for information and to schedule a viewing and test drive of the X5 I was looking at. They may well be a great dealership, but they were totally non responsive to my requests for information. I bought an X5 from a different dealership two weeks after I received no responses from Putnam staff.

Jeff Hershman helped me find the perfect car!! He was kind enough to stay late at work, to accommodate my erratic hours to show me the cars I was interested in. He was through and knowledgeable and allowed me to do a comprehensive test drive on each of the cars that I was deciding between. He really made me feel at ease and comfortable with my decision. It was a fantastic experience working with him, he really is outstanding! Mike Musto was the gentleman that helped me in the finance department and he too was a gem to work with. He was extremely pleasant, upbeat and extremely helpful (and comprehensive) when explaining all my warranty options and payment plans. Honestly, I would have never thought that buying a car would be such a pain-less and actually rather enjoyable process! Thank you both!

VERY VERY VERY PRICY.... They are friendly and has huge selection but very stern on thier price and they do not do any price match. I do not think the Internet fleet maanger has any right to decide on the price. he is just a toy to explain features of the car. So unless you go there you would not know the price you will be offerd which will be very pricy when compared to other dealers. waste of time to go and buy a pricy car.. WILL SAVE $2000 FOR YOUR BUY IF YOU CROSS THE BRIDGE with TOLL $5 ..

Great experience !!!

Great Spanish speakers Salesman very frienly and they know their product,and a fantastic Test drive area up hill,down hill and they even take me to 280 freeway 2 times 1 by my self and then with my family these guys spent the time with you and help you; I bought a Camry from Jaime & Victor couple of months ago not to much negociation they go to the point and don't make you lose your time. I like it I will recomend my family and friends to buy at Putnam Toyota

As a single woman I was very careful choosing a reputable place to do business. I had heard of Putnam in Burlingame for a long toime as my parents used to come from San Francisco to purchase vehicles from their General Motors store for years and years. I was unaware they had Toyota too until I read some favorable reviews on Yelp. I had already received quotes from the dealer in Sunnyvale and in San Francisco and two places in the East Bay on a Toyota Sienna. It turns out those places quoted me great prices on the vehicle but didn;t have a single 4x4 Sienna in stock (I was set on the Toyota Sienna Limited All Wheel Drive). Eric Brooks, Putnam's internet manager emailed me specs on the exact car. The price was within a couple hundred dollars of the lowest price I had already received (higher), but I didn't have to wait until December/January like one of the other dealers relayed was the earliest they could have the car. We knew we might need the 4x4 feature for Tahoe around Thanksgiving so we couldn't settle for the Honda Odyssey or the 2wd XLE that City Toyota offered us on the lot. Eric was friendly and easy going and really knew his stuff. I didn't get the usual pitch on underseals and such that I'm used to hearing. I was impressed by the great selection they had in their huge and neatly organized indoor display facility. (At another place they made me drive around from lot to lot in San Francisco looking for the car they said they had.) Needless to say everything went smoothly and the Sienna drives like a champ. Our previous minivan was a Chrysler Town and Country and after two transmissions I can say it's like night and day driving my new Sienna around. Another reason I chose Putnam is that they have a Subaru dealer across the street so if we get our Outback serviced we can drop of the Sienna at the same time. The facility was super clean and they even have a fancy espresso machine that grinds the beans. As for service after the sale, I've received two phone calls already from Eric and a letter from Kent Putnam himself. I had questions about the bluetooth feature on the phone and Eric walked me through the entire process. Turns out my Blackberry has some issues, but that's a story for AT&T and I'm switching over to an Iphone as soon as Verizon can get it in. Anyway, kudos to the folks at Putnam Toyota in Burlingame!
