Around mid May we wanted to special order a 2024 Ford

Around mid May we wanted to special order a 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat. Using Ford?s online build and pricing process we built the Ford Ranger of our dreams with all our required options. I had Ford sent the build list to all three Ford dealerships on Oahu. One dealership responded but they told us they would apply a $5K mark-up over our build price. That dealership?s attitude and nonnegotiable mark-up requirement was a nonstarter! Cutter Ford?s Salesperson Bryan Chong contacted me the same day. Bryan was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasurable to work with as he used our build list to generate an Out-The-Door price with our desired options. The special order for our 2024 Ranger was placed and confirmed by Ford on 21 May 2024. Bryan told us it really depends on Ford scheduling process, but we thought we were possibly looking at a late Aug/Sept build date with our Ranger being delivered Oct/Nov timeframe. We did receive ?Still trying to scheduled? status from Ford every 45 days and Bryan did confirm our Ranger was still Cutter Fords highest priority Special Order to be built. Although we were not notified, I found out that Ford scheduled the last build of 2024 Ford Rangers during the week of 16 Dec and our Ranger was not going to be build. This special-order process was not a Cutter Ford issue but a major problem with Ford?s special-order scheduling/manufacturing process. After I found out that our Ranger probably wasn?t going to be built, I contacted Bryan. Bryan quick let me know that they had a 2024 Ranger Lariat in our desired exterior and interior colors on Cutter Ford?s sales lot. It didn?t have the appearance package we wanted but at least it was something we could possible work with. Bryan went out of his way to reserve that Ranger until they got a confirmation that our original special order was not going to be built. The next day Bryan?s general manager got confirmation that our original Ranger was not going to be built. Bryan took our original build list and options and researched what optional parts could be shipped and installed at Cutter Ford and what options could only be factory installed. From his research other than the appearance package there was only one other option that had to be installed at the factory. Due to his hard work, he was able to generated an Out the Door price that was $2K less than our original estimated cost and something we would be happy with for years to come. If Cutter Ford?s Service Department is as good as their Sales personnel (like Bryan) then they will have a customer for the life of our new Ranger. Thanks to Bryan?s dedication we are extremely happy with our new Ford Ranger and without his help we would have never attempted nor recommend buying another new Ford vehicle

Worst car buying experience we’ve had.

Worst car buying experience we’ve had. Cutter Ford has no integrity. We purchased a new Bronco a month ago. They rushed us through the paperwork and finance process because they made us late for something we needed to be at. They ended up adding a warranty even though we said we didn’t want it. When we went to the bank the price for our loan was well over the amount we’d agreed on. The dealership didn’t give us our copy of the paperwork for a couple of days so we didn’t catch the discrepancy until we saw the paperwork. They processed the check from our bank and told us they would be in touch a few days later to give us a check for the overage. It’s been almost a month and we hadn’t been contacted by the dealership at all, so we reached out. The dealership told us they had sent the overage back to the bank. We also asked for a copy of the corrected paperwork we signed because we’ve yet to receive that as well. We asked when the money was sent and two hours later we received a response that the money was being processed today and will be taken to our bank in the next couple of days. There is no integrity at all at this dealership. Or they are completely incompetent at their jobs. I’m not sure which, but it all feels really shady.

We went in to look at new cars.

We went in to look at new cars. The two sales people we worked with were both great. Everything was going well until it came time to purchase. They seriously undervalued our trade- told us their policy was to always give no more than fair value, never good. We traded in a fully loaded 2023 with 15k miles on it. There was a scratch on one rim otherwise it was pristine. They refused to give us what the car was worth. They kept talking about all kinds of incentives to bring the price down to the payment we wanted, but they didn?t really give us much in the end. Finally he brought us paperwork showing the payment where we wanted it. He suggested we go to our bank to get a better interest rate to bring it down even more. We had a specific time we needed to be out of there so the finance/paperwork part was rushed because they made us really late. We went to our bank and got an interest rate that was 1.25% lower, but the monthly payment was way higher than they quoted. When I started looking through the paperwork I realized the numbers the dealership used to quote the payment to get the sale were a lot lower than the amount we actually had to finance. They also had only the MSRP price on the website but not their purchase price, so the purchase price ended up being more than 10K over what they advertised on their website. I understand there?s a difference, but I think both need to be displayed on the website so customers can be properly informed. The whole thing ended up feeling a little shady, which is really disappointing. I wish we would have walked away when they made us late instead of waiting. Maybe one of the other Ford dealers would have worked with us more. Love the car, liked the sales guy as a person, super disappointed with the dealership and the experience overall.

Freddie at Cutter was fantastic.

Freddie at Cutter was fantastic. I previously had some not-so-great experiences at other Ford dealers on-island, so I drove out of my way to give Cutter a shot. The experience was SO much better. Freddie was super personable, listened to me, answered all of my questions, spent extra time to show me some new features and get my phone connected to my new truck. Ernie in the Finance Dept made the lease a breeze. I'd definitely go back there, and I'd ask to work with Freddie again... and I'll recommend my friends and family do too.

Cutter Ford has been our go-to auto source since 2016.

Cutter Ford has been our go-to auto source since 2016. They always strive to get us the best value on quality vehicles. We just did our fourth lease through Cutter on a 2023 Escape. Our lease agreement is very thorough and advantageous for our needs. I would strongly recommend Cutter Ford to others.
