On May 6, 2025 my driver side mirror was damaged.

On May 6, 2025 my driver side mirror was damaged. Upon realizing the damage I immediately attempted to contact Island Honda's service department. After calling the number provided and being told to go online to make an appointment. I decided to drive to the dealership to show them my problem. It was determined I needed to replace the whole mirror assembly. I proceeded to the parts department and placed the order for the driver side mirror replacement. I was told by the person ordering the part that it would take 7 - 10 business days for the part to come in and when it does someone from Honda would be contacting me so that I can schedule an appointment to have it replaced. 6 months ago I brought the car in for service and specifically mentioned that I wanted the windshield wipers to be replaced and was told the same thing about the 7-10 business days and someone would call. Well I did not get the call and I did not get the wipers replaced during that service. Well thank you that saved me $90.00 . Again, I did NOT receive a call that my part came in so I had to drive down to check on it myself. Upon arrival at the part counter I had to ring a bell to get service. It took the employee a couple of minutes before coming out from the back. I informed the employee I was checking to see if the part I ordered came in. The employee at first could not find me in the computer, nor in a little book he checked, then excused himself to check the back. He did come back to say the part came in and he apologized that no one called to let me know. I asked him when did the part come in and he replied on May 12th! Today is the 21st! This is NOT OKAY! The plastic cover on my driver side mirror somehow flew off even though we tried to tape it together. All the wiring was exposed to the elements and I was so worried about it getting more damaged if it rained! I had to put a ziplock bag over the mirror unit and tape it down to protect it because someone dropped the ball in the parts department! I love Honda cars, I feel very safe and comfortable in them. But I have had better maintenance services from other dealers. I am giving Rae 5 stars because she was awesome upon making sure I had an appointment and took care of me while scheduling the appointment.
