I am from a different state than this dealership. I have sent multiple emails both thru cars.com and directly to the dealership. Guess out of state money is not what they want.

Gilchrist Chevrolet

Gilchrist Chevy is extremely well run organisation. Ricky is a great sales person, answered all of my questions, was well versed with his product and was very respectful. I was also fortunate enough to meet Stephanie the owner and it is obvious where the sales staff learned to treat their customers with dignity and respect. I would recommend Gilchrist Chevrolet to any in the market for a new or used car.

Great customer service.

I had a horrible experience at Good Chevrolet and wanted to trade the car I just bought a month ago so I wouldn't have to deal with them anymore. I called and spoke to Stephanie, who was very helpful and understanding. I explained my situation to her and asked if I could come in to see what they could do for me. Stephanie, Dominick and Will spent a couple of hours with me. After finding the car that I was looking for they had one of their employees go pick it up from a dealership up North since the car wasn't at their lot. This is what I call customer service. They went above and beyond to get me into a different car. Stephanie made the loan process so easy and took the time to explain everything to me. Since Will and Dominick were off the day I came to sign my papers Anthony took the time to explain the features my car had and helped me set up my Onstar. If your looking for a car stop by and see them, they will make you feel like family and do everything they can to get you in the car you want. Thank you so much you guys, I LOVE my Brand New Tahoe, you made it all possible!

An enjoyable buying experience

I recently purchased a used 2009 Buick Lucerne Super. I was assisted by Abe, Chris and Dave, as well as the finance person whose name escapes me, but they all worked until 8:00PM on a Saturday to wrap up the deal, when they closed at 7:00PM. The negotiation went well for me and the professionalism of all individuals was noteworthy. I live 1-1/2 hours north of Tacoma and that was why they wanted to make sure they could wrap everything all up on that day to avoid having me have to come back from such a long distance. Great people, great buying experience and great vehicle deal. I LOVE the car!

Old School "Customer is King"

My wife purchased a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox and we could not be happier. We added heated seats, fog lights and Zurich Shield all installed by Gilchrist and were impressed with the quality of the dealer installed items. This is a company that has been a fixture in Tacoma for 88 years and with this kind of service I see no reason why the next 88 won't be the same. Thanks Chris, Stephanie and John!

2014 Chevy Cruze purchase!

Thank you so much to Tamie (Internet Sales), Steven (Sales) and Stephanie (Finance)!!! Knew what I wanted, sent an inquiry at 6am, she responded immediately! Had the vehicle ready and waiting for me! Excellent customer service all the way around...excellent trade-in value, excellent overall deal...and I'm picky on where I spend my hard earned dollars! Thank you so much for my Cruze :)

GMC Sierra Purchase

My brother purchased a new GMC sierra pick-up from Jeff. Got a GREAT price on a SLE model, with the bells and whistles. Great customer service from Jeff and Fred. This was our first GMC, switched from Chevrolet Work Truck. When our family needs a new car, we'll switch to Buick and see Jeff !

I had a terrific experience with the Gilchrist Auto staff on 5/3/14. Tamie with the internet /emails was extremely helpful in getting this deal off the ground. I was dealing with a fairly rare Camaro so the haggling was tough but fair. We flew in from Wyoming to Washington and were met by Pierre at the airport. He was a great help with the deal and very easy going and professional from the start. Also, Michael Krone was introduced to us and he let us pick out some Chevrolet merchandise from the 'closed Saturday parts store'. That was a great gesture on his and Gilchrists part. We then finished up the paperwork with Stephanie Gilchrist. Obviously a family member of the Gilchrist Chevrolet ownership. Does her job well and very professional also. Overall, we had a great experience and I would recommend them highly to any or all potential buyers out there. Thanks again Gilchrist Auto Center!! The tank of gas to get us down the road was greatly appreciated also.

Bad experience

Not a good experience. They couldn't find the guy I talked to hour before I came it. Not a very warm and welcoming dealership. I wont be back.

Unfortunately not all our staff works from open to close, 12 hour days, so it was likely that the salesperson you were looking for was either off shift or at our other location across the street at Buick, GMC.
