We recently purchased a 2019 MINI Cooper S from BMW Northwest Tacoma and while we are happy with the car itself, the experience at the dealership was deeply disappointing. We informed our sales consultant in advance that we would arrive at 6:45 PM due to traffic on I-5 South. Despite being only one minute late (7:01 PM), we were rushed through the entire process with zero professionalism. There was no greeting, no hi, no hello — nothing. We were simply told to sit down and then had to follow the staff member to his office without any guidance. The person handling our paperwork never once introduced himself. We had to specifically ask for his name — he told us it was Chris — because we wanted to leave an honest review of our experience. Chris rushed us through document after document with no explanation, no patience, and no acknowledgment that this was a significant and emotional milestone for us. This was our first car purchase. Buying your first car is a deeply personal moment and we were treated as though we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. It felt as though they were giving the car away on charity rather than earning our business. To make matters worse, we left without our temporary registration — a basic document that should have been provided at signing without us having to ask. We expected BMW-level service and received none of it. The car is great. The experience was not. We would not recommend this dealership based on our experience.

On the evening of your appointment, we remained available beyond business hours to assist upon your arrival and worked to keep the process as efficient as possible with staff on hand to support you. We strive to be flexible and supportive of our customers’ needs, and we appreciate the opportunity to assist.

Thank you for the response. To clarify- we notified your team in advance of our arrival time, so staying late was an expected part of the appointment, not an accommodation above and beyond. The issue was never the timing. It was the absence of any greeting, no introduction from the finance associate, paperwork rushed through without explanation, and leaving without our temporary registration. This was our first car purchase. We deserved to be treated like customers, not a closing task. We appreciate the reply, but it didn't address any of what we actually experienced.

The experience was definitely professional and I felt like a valued customer. Though I reside 45 miles from the dealership the customer service was worth the drive.

Service was easily booked and very efficient. They also went above and beyond… put my front license plate on for me!! Thank you. DISHONEST DEALERSHIP! I had a deal in writing to buy a 2024 X5. I offered to wire the money for two days, but the dealership asked me to wait until April 1st to sign documents because they wanted to book the sale in April. In the meantime, I secured a loan, set up shipping, and SOLD MY CAR. The dealership was in the loop the entire time and assured me my car was being held for me with the keys locked up. I had an appointment in the morning on April 1st to sign the documents; however, they sold the car the night before. The salespeople told me there were extensive notes in the system saying the car was being sold to me and they didn't know how this happened. It happened because they are dishonest and they don't care about their customers. Find another dealership. (Mike Brown was helpful in trying to find me another X5.)

My annual BMW service required an unexpected overnight stay. I live a distance from the dealership and my advisor, Rich Knoll, arranged for a Lyft home and a Lyft back the next morning. The car was serviced and picked up with a minimum of fuss and bother. Great job by Rich and BMW Northwest.

Had a troubling expeirence at the start, but Mike and the team did their best to make things right! I purchased a 2022 Subaru with under 100k miles with a full warranty. Within 2 weeks of purchasing the vehicle it needed urgent and hazardous repairs. A major component of the transmission was damaged and there was significant oil leaks. It took 3 days to even get in contact with a manager, leaving me without transportation and no idea when I would be getting my vehicle back. Despite purchasing a full warranty with the dealership they did not authorize my warranty at the time of purchase and left me without a working vehicle. The car that I drove for only 2 weeks has now been sitting in the shop for almost a week! I am thankful to the team for finally covering the repairs, I just wish this could have been solved in a more timely manner with clearer communication.

Yesterday, I picked up my new 2026 X5 from BMW Northwest. Alan Sluka was the service advisor and he has done great job to negotiate on my behalf and deliver as we agreed promised. This was one of the easiest car purchases I made. Thank you Alan for the great job!
