They had the perfect C8 Corvette E-Ray I really wanted.

They had the perfect C8 Corvette E-Ray I really wanted. I am out of state and initially called and worked with Brian to get a deal set. He was pretty responsive and easy to work with. I wanted to just pay cash and they weren't pushy at all about doing a finance option plus I still feel like I got a great deal. From there, I primarily worked with Dave who was very responsive and helped me through the process of getting the paperwork all handled correctly and quickly. I believe I got the car delivered within about 6*7 days of settling on the deal, which felt quick given being out of state. I would absolutely recommend this dealership and would do business with them again!

I purchased a Yukon from Marquardt of Barrington in July

I purchased a Yukon from Marquardt of Barrington in July 2025 and, just over a month later, the brakes began squeaking. After removing the brakes to check, I discovered they were crumbling, the rotors were badly scratched, and the vehicle was no longer safe to drive. I had no choice but to immediately replace both the brakes and rotors, costing me another $300 on a vehicle I had just spent $60K on. I reached out to Marquardt and was initially told they would look into it. A few days later, the response I received was that I should have brought the brakes in. I provided photos and explained the situation, but the dealership showed no interest in helping now since the sale was complete. I never expected that less than two months after purchase I’d be forced to spend hundreds of dollars on essential safety repairs and with no support from the dealer. It’s very disappointing customer service, and I would not recommend Marquardt of Barrington based on my experience.

Mr. Manno, We will not cover anything under warranty, nor assist on any unforeseen issues with a vehicle, without verification. You have never brought the vehicle back for any concerns, since the time of purchase. The front brake pads and rotors were new at the time of delivery, 2 plus months ago. If you had a concern, you should have brought the vehicle in to us, to verify and repair the vehicle. Anything that is under warranty, if it is not brought into our service department to verify and work on, it will not be covered and there will be no reimbursement. In the future, if you are looking for any warranty consideration, in person(at dealership) verification and repair is required. I will now detail our correspondence from September 3rd through 9th. You contacted us on September 3rd, just over 2 months after purchase, stating that “the front brakes are squeaking like crazy. The rotors look very worn. The car says the brake pads are 45%.” At which point, we informed you that the front brakes and rotors were new at the time of delivery and that it would be hard to determine an issue without inspection. Then you sent the same 3 pictures included in your review. You were informed that we would check with our service department, stating that “perhaps, there is some sort of warranty on the brakes and rotors, prorated or something, I am not sure, but I can ask. If so, they'd probably have to be done here.” On September 6th, after we asked you several questions, concluding with “I ask because not only would we have to look at them to verify, which I know would be an inconvenience, but if they are defective, GM will warranty both pads OR only one rotor. If they are how you say, I would make up the difference, if there were any.” Then, you let us know that you “had to replace them. They were squeaking so loud and getting worse every time we drove it.“ To which we responded, “I wish that you would have said something prior to replacing them on your own. If you had brought this to our attention, we would have asked you to bring it in for us to inspect and verify. If they were what you say, you would not have paid anything. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Per company policy, we will not reimburse anyone with unsubstantiated claims. I am sorry to hear that you spent your own money on this, but without the ability for our service department to verify the claim and fix the issue, we cannot reimburse any amount.” After that, you sent a lengthy email, to which we asked you to “please send all pertinent documentation, in regards to the repair and replacement of the front brake pads and rotors of your 2023 Yukon. Either way, you will have to return to us, all parts that were replaced, per GM warranty requirements.” You were asked “are you able to provide the parts replaced?” You then sent an AutoZone receipt for 2 brake pads and 2 rotors and the same pictures that you sent previously. Our service director then spoke with you on the phone and it was determined that you could not provide the parts, nor did you inform us prior to repair. We then responded via text: “As stated previously, the front brakes and rotors were new prior to purchase, if defective, there is a specific process to follow for reimbursement or repair via GM Warranty, both require the vehicle to be here for the work and for verification. Due to the fact that no one here, at Marquardt of Barrington, was personally able to verify that any of the parts came from or were used to repair the specific vehicle that you purchased from us, on 07-01-2025, we are not able to assist with your request.” Also, “I would like to remind you that your vehicle does have a factory bumper to bumper warranty until 07-01-2026 or 48,604 miles and a limited powertrain warranty until 08-15-2028 or 60,009 miles. If anything is in need of repair or of concern within that time frame, please contact us prior to doing any work, for help.” In conclusion, you did not ask for help until after you replaced your brakes. Any chance at reimbursement or coverage was voided the instant that occurred. We were never given the opportunity to verify, nor substantiate any of the work or claims. You do have warranty remaining, so if a window switch, a power seat, a coolant leak or anything at all goes wrong while your warranty remains and you do not bring it in, but instead, you fix it yourself. Unfortunately, you will have this same issue arise, once again.

Reached out to Dan Marquardt through a family friend referral. He called me immediately and discussed what I was looking for. He had Sam reach out to me and started test driving vehicles. Sam was responsive, attentive to what we were looking for. Had the perfect truck on the lot. No pressure sales tactics. Super smooth buying process. 5 stars all around with all of the staff interaction. Would highly recommend Marquardt to anyone looking to purchase their next vehicle!

Did not get printout of status of vehicle and reportedly

Did not get printout of status of vehicle and reportedly 2 leaks and did not show me where and stated over $5000 to repair??Question if these are true leaks or just trying to get extra $$$ and service rep was surprised I had a warranty and did not take the time to look - his first question was ?how much do you like your car - maybe a new one would be better! Makes me question the integrity if there is really something wrong or trying to get money as I have had Buick Rainiers and my last one almost 200k miles. I take excellent care of my cars and frankly mad at his presentation . So with GREAT RELUCTANCE would say I recommend and the last several times there is ?always something ?. I really would like a repair rep to walk me through this last concern to assure me or seek another opinion prior to any repair. Second time with Tony in your service department. Can another service rep please evaluate my car as I plan on keeping it and have 10yr / 100k warranty and want Buick?s assurance that this is a dependable vehicle
