My friend- FEELING sick to my stomach ….

My friend- FEELING sick to my stomach …. Public Service Announcement!! My parents walked off of a retirement village shuttle into Gregg Orr Toyota and were sold a car almost $10,000 dollars over the price that they advertised it online!!! They were also sold a service contract on this 2023 Toyota Crown for an additional $6710.00. As soon as my family realized what they were doing we called up to the Toyota place immediately. My parents were still in the financial office after signing paperwork. We started begging them to take the car back because my parents made a mistake and shouldn’t have made the purchase to begin with. They had totaled 2 cars the month before and we did not want them driving anymore. They said, “NO the sale is final and there is nothing we can do now!” We were treated very rudely, and with multiple phone calls and visits we were still told there was nothing that could be done. We will just have to sell the car. After we pay sales tax and swallow the extra 10,000 they charged them they will be eating about $15,000. Help me spread the word about how unethical Gregg Orr Toyota in Hot Springs, Arkansas is!! All they care about is making a sale. Total Price for the 2023 Crown with service contract and Gap included is 54,639.00. Online price for exact car 37,886.00

Extremely dishonest, but a truck with 97,000 miles on it

Extremely dishonest, but a truck with 97,000 miles on it was told I could come in and refinance it in a year or 22 years later go to refinance because the price was a little high then was told they can’t refinance a truck with more than 100,000 miles on it They sold me the truck with 97,000 so I had less than 3000 miles but they wanted me to come in a year or two to refinance very dishonest Curtis. The sales person will say and do anything to get you to buy a vehicle and not make it right And when asked about it, they become extremely rude and tell you to leave

Orr Toyota hot springs

Sold me a truck that had been in a wreck and played it off that it had recall is the reason the frame was replaced. Also told me that a year later they overpriced the truck and sold it to me. Worst place of business. Do not recommend to anybody

No help for recalls!!

I purchased a new 2019 Rav4...paid top dollar. Now I discover there are numerous recalls and all I get from Orr is. " sorry, we are working on it" In the mean time I am driving an unsafe vehicle.

gives the 'used car salesman' a bad name

Treated us like we were idiots. Disrespectful. Acted as if they were doing us a huge favor by trying to sell us a car. Two salesman simultaneously trying to sell us a vehicle ("tag team"?). Nobody even bothered to show us the features of the car we were interested in - one man gave us the keys, then after the test drive, hands us over to the other to talk 'price'. He did us a huge favor by initially trying to discount the sticker price by $500. Left without a sale, but with a new bad taste in our mouths.

Untruthful and demeaning, only cares for profits

I could have purchased the same vehicle For $6,000 less than what I was being (over) charged at Orr. I ended up purchasing a vehicle at different dealership with a totally different and wonderful experience. The unprofessional and dismissive Finance person at Orr Toyota in Hot Springs answered every one of my questions with a demeaning tone and flippant answer rather than being professional and answering my questions appropriately. When asking about certain specifics about the transaction, he told me I couldn’t get a better finance rate than what I received- this was false as I received a better finance rate from the other dealership. I learned later that he would not attempt to find me a better rate because he was profiting from that specific lender. I know this because the new dealership explained this to me. My credit score is excellent so this would have not been a problem. This man did not hesitate to ask me several times for the down payment, stating “Bring me that cashier’s check ASAP” multiple times. I was rushed to sign without explanation and rushed out. The car salesman, although very friendly, played the part well when he kept going to his sales manager and coming back to me by saying “You can’t get a better deal anywhere.” And “I can’t believe he made this happen.” I guess this showmanship is just part of the job. (To reiterate- the same car was actually being sold for much much less at the dealership it was located and Orr Toyota told me they “Didn’t know what the car looked like” because they didn’t want to reveal the actual, lower price. I found the car online. ) They also failed to find me what I wanted with my specific requests when the new dealership had no problems finding my vehicle and making calls to get my vehicle. Beware- unfortunately being a woman and making a good income is reason for these people to take advantage of you. I’ve never experienced this in any of my 4 car buying experiences. I beg everyone not to purchase from this particular dealership. My experience at Orr Searcy was much different so I don’t want to badmouth the Orr name completely. Orr Toyota in Hot Springs, AR is extremely dishonest and has a blatant disregard for honest, hardworking customers. They will lie to you and do the least work for the most profit off of you. It’s extremely disheartening businesses and people like these exist. No integrity whatsoever. That is truly embarrassing for them. I know everyone has their own experiences and I hate it for the people who are hardworking and honest, but IT IS POSSIBLE to get a better deal on your car somewhere else. Certain people just won’t try and will hide details about your potential vehicle so they can make a huge profit off you- they are pretty much making you look like an ignorant fool and the finance guy will treat you like one too. Just my opinion though and I truly believe there is nothing they can say to defend their poor practices.

Dishonest and shady. Don't buy here

I purchased a new truck from Gregg Orr Toyota in Hot Springs on 12/30/2019. When we discussed price, trade-in, etc. nothing was mentioned about extended warranty or tire and wheel protection. It was late and we were both tired, hungry and in a hurry to go home. It took a very long time for the finance manager to get the paperwork ready. While we were waiting the salesman kept talking about what a great warranty Toyota has and he guessed they could afford to warranty their vehicles so well because they were so dependable. The finance manager very quickly went over the contract, the price of the truck, trade-in price, length of finance, etc. When he got to the warranty he very quickly said “you get” and told us about the warranty and tire and wheel protection. What he neglected to tell us was the warranty was an extended warranty that cost $5706 and the tire and wheel protection cost was $1902.00. We discussed the warranty and tire and wheel coverage on the way home and couldn’t understand if it was standard or if it was something to do with the end of year closeout. We should have read the contract carefully. If I had, I would have bought the truck elsewhere. We would have look closer when we got home but they would not give us copies of the paperwork. Said they would mail it all to use. We both feel like we were intentionally misled by the salesman and the finance manager. When we received the paperwork and discovered what they had done I went back to the dealership and demanded that the extended warranty and the tire and wheel protection be canceled and the money refunded. The finance manager insisted that he had covered the cost with us and basically called me a liar. He finally agreed to cancel the stuff he added on and said it would be refunded to the loan amount. He printed out a paper stating this and we both signed it. Once again I was not given a copy. To date (4-15-2020) this matter still has not been resolved. I have made multiple phone calls and left multiple messages for the finance manager and he will not return my calls. Since all of this started I have checked with friends, family, and internet reviews and it would seem that these shady, dishonest business practices are common at Orr Toyota in Hot Springs. So, if you are in the market for a Toyota I would advise shopping elsewhere.
