On Saturday, September 28, 2024, I had a fantastic experience with Bob D'Hondt at Bob Johnson 390 Chevrolet! Bob went out of his way to meet all the conditions I had to purchase a lease in my current situation. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. Bob explained things clearly and offered me a deal that I couldn't refuse. When I picked up the car on the following Monday morning, Bob showed me all the features of the 2024 Equinox and connected my cell phone for me. It was the best experience I have had in purchasing a car or a lease. Thank you, Bob, for making this such an enjoyable experience! I had an excellent experience with Jill Bateman at Bob Johnson 390 Chevrolet! She was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. This is the 3rd lease and was the best experience of all. Jill explained things clearly and was very quick to respond to my text/call with questions during the lease process. When I went to pick up the car, she spent about an hour showing me all the new bells and whistles on my new 2025 Equinox and assured me I could contact her if I had any questions as it was a lot to absorb. Thank you, Jill, for making this a great experience!

The best way I can summarize working with Bob Johnsons in
The best way I can summarize working with Bob Johnsons in Avon is "buyer beware." I went in and drove a couple of cars. Ultimately, I went forward with a 2023 Jeep Wrangler (a really nice Jeep with less than 8k miles). I went through the typical song and dance where they told me I was upside down on my trade (and I was) and gave me a payment which was too high. So, I left. However, the Jeep kept calling me back and so I agreed to purchase the Jeep and bit off a higher payment. I agreed to increase my downpayment by $1,000 and they agreed to give me $500 more for my trade. I said "go for it!" By Friday of that week I was told (five times) that we were good to go to pick up the Jeep that Monday. In fact, they had already called my insurance company and changed it to the new Jeep. Now, Monday comes and I get a call from the sales person with a couple of questions for the credit app. I asked again if we were still a go for 4:00 PM and the response was yes! About 30 minutes later I got a call from the Finance/Business Manager who told me I needed to put another $12k down. I was like xxx! How did we get from "you can pick it up on Monday at 4:00 PM" to "you need to give us $12k more down?" And his attitude was "yea, well ... it is what it is." The bottom line is that I don't like to be lied to ... from anyone. And that is exactly what they did ... they lied to me. So, unless you enjoy a deceptive and dishonest sales experience you'd be best to avoid Bob Johnsons at all cost.

Rusted truck
Bought a 2014 Chevy Silverado and the rocker panels are completely rotted out of it I did not realize this until after I bought it supposedly they do a thorough check of the vehicle and no they will not stand behind the vehicle have only had it for three months Bob Johnson is a horrible dealership I would not recommend anyone to buy a vehicle from here

DON'T COME HERE
When i went to buy a car here I went on multiple occasions and was tossed around. I would not recommend this dealership. I found better deals when they claimed there were none and I felt as though I was being taken advantage of

I would give zero stars if I could. I live an hour away...
I would give zero stars if I could. I live an hour away and called ahead to make sure the car I wanted to test drive would be there. When I arrived, the manager had the car at his personal residence to unload 12 bags of mulch. I had to wait 40 minutes for him to return. When he did I noted that he looked 17 but thought he was the smartest person alive. I test drove the car and offered to pay sticker price if I received the Kelley Blue Book trade in for my current vehicle. It took them over 24 hours to get back to me with NO as the answer. What car dealership does not honor a nationally recognized vehicle valuation tool. They then told me they would put a spray coat in the back bed liner, because several scratches in the paint were visible. The next day they recanted and offered a cheaper, slide in liner instead. If you like head games and unanswered promises check this place out. If you have a brain, stay away!
