Poor experience

I attempted to get information reference to the new Kia Carnival with three separate individuals calling me. All three had different information to provide that completely contradicted each other. Examples, have available stock now, no stock available would have to pre-order, there is a recall that currently are unable to take pre-order. Highly recommend to find someone else who can deliver accurate and consistent information.

CarMax = AWESOME

I came in with my Daughter looking for a nice car for her. We left with a great car, great deal and great experience. When we walked in the door we were paired up with sales associate Travis who introduced himself and got going figuring out what she wanted. Never once did he push. He set us up to look at 3-4 vehicles and 2 to test drive. We drove, the car that was eventually purchased, and came back ready to purchase. Travis carefully talked us through the purchase process. He was very careful to let us know that there was an open recall on the vehicle. We traded in her old vehicle and received a (more than fair) offer for it!. As we were going through the payment / signing process, he kept stopping in to see how we were doing . The gentleman who helped us with the paper work was pleasant and very helpful. When the decidedly un-painful process was over, her car was ready, clean, with a full tank and ribbon-on-top. Travis saw her out of the garage and on her way. Plus he recommended a killa pizza joint for dinner. Kudos Sir and kudos to CarMax.

Ms. Mary S. Scialfa

CarMax made the purchase of my vehicle run smoothly, without having to go to the Division of Motor Vehicles. They addressed my concerns promptly and, when new keys had to be made, offered a "loaner" vehicle until the problem was fixed. I recommend CarMas to everyone!

Good Experience

Great service dept, helpful. Sales was helpful in locating the car I have been looking for. Would/will shop atCarMax again. They make it easy and I appreciate the no pressure sales.

Complete Failure

I brought my 2019 Fiat Spyder with 6,000 total miles to sell. The car was in perfect condition, never smoked it, never eaten in, pristine condition. The exterior was in perfect condition as well. Carmax offered me $18,000 for the car. Online, the pricing guides priced my car at between $24,000 to $26,000. So, I took the $40,000 car I had bought from them earlier in the week and returned it. I feel so bad for the young salesman who lost his commission because Carmax tried to rip me off. My advice to everyone, do your homework BEFORE you go into Carmax. They will try to take advantage of you.

Human Relations

Appointment was cancelled without me getting a notice so I showed up after a 1.5 hour drive. When I got there I was told I would be handled ASAP. After waiting 45 minutes past my appointment set up I left.

Great experience at Carmax at Mid Rivers in St. Louis. We were looking for a low mileage 2014 Toyota RAV4 and we found the SUV we wanted on the lot. In total it was the fastest we have been in and out of a dealership after buying the SUV.

Great Service!!

I was looking at buying a 2014 Toyota Corolla and Willie was the 1st person I talked to at the dealership. There was absolutely no pressure from the start of the conversation to even buy the vehicle. Before we even talked about anything sales wise he recommended that I take a look at the car and test drive it before anything to make sure it was everything I wanted. Even during the test drive, we didn't talk about buying the car, it was just a normal conversion. After test driving the vehicle I needed to think about it and even then Willie never tried to keep me at the dealership to try and buy the car. He followed up with me a few days later to see how everything was going and even put the car on hold for me so no one else would take it/buy it. I ended up not buying the vehicle this time, after thinking about it for a few days. The customer service I received and the atmosphere that, i'd have to say Willie created, was Fantastic and would highly recommend asking for him if you are looking for a car. I couldn't be more satisfied with the service I received, and will be going back to him towards the end of the year to then purchase a vehicle.
