I can't find my original review but they posted such a bogus response. Their logic is they had another buyer on the lot but instead of calling me to let me know to make a decision about putting a deposit down, they just took the next buyer. A professional place would have called me, told me what they had in hand and see if I wanted to put a deposit down. I was given zero chance. I get money talks but I had money too! Michael Hawk, you know you didn't handle this correctly.

Found a Unicorn: Fair, Satisfied
I had been searching for a Unicorn for over two years. I found it at United Imports! I live in Virginia and put a nonrefundable deposit on a 2010 BMW 650i, sight unseen. I rented a car (one way rental!) and drove to Jacksonville, trusting Mike and Ron, and that I would be buying said vehicle...I know, I know...sounds stupid/naive. I had been looking at the same model in all surrounding states to Virginia so I knew what to expect in terms of cosmetic appearance. I wanted a "one-owner" vehicle, driven/owned in the south to avoid salted roads, garaged, low miles, and all service records at a BMW dealership demonstrating proper maintenance, and no accidents. I of course wanted a fair price and was willing to pay a fair price for the right vehicle (CarGurus is helpful to evaluate pricing). I was upfront, frank and honest with Ron and Mike. They in return were the same. I have had the car three days and drove it from Jacksonville to Tampa, Tampa to Atlanta, then Atlanta to Virginia. I was initially a bit dubious about trusting an 11 year old car for such a long trip but I was not disappointed. The interior is super clean but there are more paint and rim cosmetic issues than I would like which I knew that upfront (therefore the 3 stars on "Quality of Repairs"), but I would not place cosmetic issues higher in importance than having competent/correct/trustworthy mechanicals...and so far the mechanicals seem to be dependable. Mike gave me a detailed description of the inspection and work done on the vehicle...all appropriate and expected for this model and its age. I found Mike and Ron super easy to work with, very responsive, honest, direct, and supportive as I am working through a few hiccups in follow up (Bluetooth passcode, SOS error code, one malfunctioning seat warmer). This car had an original sticker over $96,000 in 2010. To be able to drive my Unicorn off the lot for under $15,000 was magical :-) Like I said, it has only been a few days since I purchased my Unicorn and I have an appointment at the BMW dealership next week, so I will remain optimistic that everything will check out as promised/expected.

The salesman helped me true everything since I was in the Dutch Antilles and he was telling me how everything was going. the only thing I did was send the money. and they only charged me $500 fee.

Run away. I placed a deposit for a Lexus Friday with Ron. The following Monday, Ron calls me that the Lexus has been sold over the weekend. I was like what? Sell a car after the deposit has been made? I kinda of knew it was sold when they removed the car from their website on Saturday and there was another feedback that I read where they sold the car after the customer already made a deposit. So in a way, I was expecting this. Yeah, they will rave about their amazing reviews online. I am the person that does their Due diligence. I can say that I have read every single feedback from google and like 6 other websites. Based on my observation, everytime a customer post a negative feedback, they will make up some excuse to cover themselves and they never take responsibility. So expect this from this review as well. So if you deal with them, expect them to screw you over in pre-sales and after sales

I am sorry about your experience but please understand how deposits work. A deposit takes a car off the market. Therefore, when placing a deposit you have to be sure this is the car you want and you have funds to pay for it. For these reasons deposits are usually non refundable. When we sent you our credit card authorization form, although you filled it out, you also modified it and added your own contingencies for it to be refundable under your conditions and by doing so you made it invalid. Obviously you had concerns about the car. You sent the form back to us on Friday evening when we were closed so we didn't receive it until Saturday morning. After viewing it, and seeing the changes you made, we decided not to charge your credit card because you certainly had some concerns. Meanwhile, someone else came to the dealership and bought the car. In short, we never collected a deposit from you. I understand you were interested in the Lexus but obviously you had concerns that prevented you from securing it on our terms.
