Left me hanging

The switchblade broke off my key fob. I ring the bell for parts and stand there for 15 minutes listening to people talking on the other side of the door. Then I ring the bell again and eventually somebody comes out and tells me that since the switchblade part broke I can just replace that but then still pay to have it programmed. It shouldn't need to be programmed because the chip is in the key fob. I was told it would probably come in today but three the longest and now today on Saturday I'm hearing that nobody's available in parts. So that means when it arrived Friday nobody bothered to call. I'm curious if they're going to try and charge me for programming when I go in there. We'll see.

Great experience!

This review is for my great experience with Frank Mustari. I live away from this dealership and spoke to Frank over the phone. Since this dealership was over 2 hrs away, I informed Frank that I need a firm quote with no uncertainty. He was very sincere and offered me a really good quote. I liked the no haggle experience. My local dealer finally came around with a competitive quote. Has it now been for the convenience of buying the car locally, I would have for sure purchased the car from Frank at VW of Crystal Lake.

Very nice dealership!

Had no problems dealing with these people. I recommend them to everybody. Our Audi A7 is a wonderful car. Nice sales people and the general manager was great.

Nice Place, Nice People

From our salesman Bruce to the managers and finance people and even to the gentleman who moved our plates from our trade in to our new car, all were helpful, personable and easy to deal with. The facilities were VERY clean. The atmosphere is friendly, polite and professional.

Lack of full disclosier

I saw a used car at this dealership on the internet they are 65 miles from where I live the car looked clean in nice shape in the pictures. I was going to be in Wisconsin that week so decided to stop in and look at the car on my return home which I did. I got there at a little after 9 PM the dealer was closed but looked at the car in the lot it looked in very nice shape. The next day I called about the car talked to Mikki internet rep said I would like to drive it he said it was a nice car when could I come in. I explained I was 65 miles away so maybe on the weekend he said he would have car ready to drive just let him know. I drove up to the dealer Friday met Mikki who introduced me to Bruce Jones a salesman he said he would get the car for me to test drive. When he pulled up the car he told me the car had bad breaks and rotors and needed to be replaced but they would adjust price for repairs. Ok that did not please me they knew I was driving 65 miles to see this car and should have told me up front about needing repair but I was there so I took it out and the brakes and rotors were very bad rotors were warped whole car shuddered when applied. Then there was a growling and grinding noise Bruce said it was something he had not heard before. This Ford Fusion has All Wheel Drive so I think it may have Power Transfer Case issues which is in the $1000 range to repair. A reputable dealer would have been up front and told me this car needed work before I drove 65 miles to find it out total unprofesional

Excellent Service!!!

Purchased a new TDI Sel at VW of Crystal Lake. Worked with Andrew who was exceptional and did an excellent job for us. Car is excellent and providing us significant savings over our previous SUV. Still have over 1/2 tank of fuel and says we have 450 miles until empty.

Great overall experience

We found a few mini van options on Cars.com that my wife and I wanted to check out. I didn't contact the dealer first but came to the store with the app in hand to show our salesman Vince exactly what we wanted to see. Within minutes we were loaded up with our kids on a test drive. After a little friendly negotiating we agreed on a fair price and appraisal on our trade. The facility is impressive and had enough to keep our 3 young kids entertained. After starting the day casually shopping we finished with exactly what we wanted, thanks to Cars.com, Vince, Derek and John at Volkswagen of Crystal Lake!
