Found a car that I liked.

Found a car that I liked. Battery was bad. I was told not to shut if off on my test drive. I liked it. Called Steve's Auto Care that is 3mi down the road to do a pre-purchase inspection. Called Eugene at Premiere to let him know when my appointment was to have the car inspected at Steve's Auti Care. I come in right when Premiere opens on the day I have pre-scheduled to take the car to the mechanic for a check. It's 9am. Eugene is not there. At 9:20 I am told he is not coming. I ask to get the car. They can't get the door unlocked nor the car started (never put the new battery in). They did not pull the car around until 10:30 am. Hour wait for them to get the door unlocked and the car jumped. Told they would put a new battery in and fix the door lock. Steve's Auto Care was great. They test drove the vehicle and did their inspection on the vehicle. Radiator leaking. Back brakes scraping. Front brakes worn down to 25% even though car fac had said they had been recently replaced. Struts and shocks bad. And loud rattling noise on transmission. It was a 2015 honda civic (maroon color) with 89k miles for $12,995. The quote at the mechanics was for apprx $3,100 dollars not including what might be wrong with the transmission. I talked to the lady when i got back and showed her the report and asked what she could do as far as fixing these problems. She shook her head no as there was nothing more she could do for me. I had cash money to buy the vehicle on the spot and i had a trade in vehicle. I took off the morning from work which i lost 6 hours of work by time i got there. I was out $71 dollars from the pre-inspection, and the gas money to go to milford twice (first for test drive, and second to purchase vehicle if all went well with the pre inspection of the vehicle. All is good and well because the moral of this story is that i was about to purchase a lemon and it is well worth the few small losses that i am out of instead of losing $13,000 dollars. ALWAYS DO A PRE-INSPECTION AT A QUALIFIED MECHANIC BEFORE PURCHASING A USED VEHICLE!!! I was disappointed to see that Premiere Auto took no interest at all in trying to remedy this situation with me and it is sad to think that they will most likely still try to sell this lemon to someone else.

I have only positive feelings after purchasing my car

I have only positive feelings after purchasing my car from Premier Automotive Group. My sales agent Alisha was very responsive and helpful since the very beginning. I highly recommend this dealership and her personally to buy from.

BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE! They will offer to take the vehicle somewhere close by for a third party inspection….you pay for inspection. My hunch is that they are paid by the dealership to give good reports. They don’t really inspect much. Basically look at it. Luckily I used a trailer to get my vehicle home. The alignment was so far off, the instant you let go of the steering wheel, you were going in the ditch. Now, the A/c did not work, the trunk lid was full of rust, two doors the manual locks were broken, ceiling liner is ripped, cheapest, bare minimum cheap tires, I doubt any of the fluids were checked, because I spent an hour trying to get the rear differential fill plug out. There was rust on the frame and under body, but at least I can still save it. Lots of wire brushing and painting in the near future. Noticed that the rear brake disc are wearing oddly, needs new brake pads and rotors. the exhaust has broken in two places in less than 100 miles of getting it home. Sun roof won’t open Now for the buying process. My fault for buying out of state. They do not do any documents or signing of anything online. This is 2025, not 1995. Everything is done through snail mail. But they won’t tell you that. $350 down to hold the vehicle, and if you don’t get the papers in time, signed and returned quickly, I bet you’re out. Then they also don’t except wire transfers of money. Had to get my bank to send se d them a paper check. And the biggest thing that really peaced me, I asked when I could be there to pick up the vehicle on Saturday morning….10:00 am. I show up at 9:50, expecting to wait about 20 minutes so they can get rolling. As I’m told I have to work with the salesperson I talked to on the phone, but she won’t be in until 11:00! I drove 10 hours the day before, got very little sleep and had a 10 hour drive home, and now you’re going to be late to work. That on top of everything else, I was livid. It happened for a reason, but at the moment I could not see thru it. Go and look at the vehicle yourself. I’m told many vehicles come from the upper salt belt and are rusted a lot. They are there to flip cars as fast as possible with as little as possible stuck into them. It’s a used car lot, that’s what they do. I asked multiple times for a copy of their safety checklist, but with no answer. Luckily I’m a diesel mechanic with a shop I can use after hours to work on my own vehicles.
