Deceitful and misleading.

Deceitful and misleading. In May 0f 2023, I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. I thought I made a prudent purchase. Why I have no issues with the salesman, it is the sales manager that I found to be deceitful. Once I agreed to purchase the vehicle, I had to visit with the sales manager. My choice was either 1.) bumper-to-bumper coverage or 2.) engine and powertrain. I choose the latter. Thus far, I've made the following repairs to my vehicle: a leaking oil filter assembly, a leaking radiator, a faulty oil pressure switch, and a vacuum motor. None of these repairs were covered by my warranty and have cost me nearly $2200 (20% more than the cost of the warranty) LaFontaine "Family deal?" No concern for their customers

Poor service and I thought Al Serra in Grand Blanc had

Poor service and I thought Al Serra in Grand Blanc had the worse service department. Since there is no contact information for the service manager, I’ll default to this. Arrived early for my appointment to drop off my Jeep. Showed pictures of the leak under the engine bay. Two days later, a different service advisor called asking why I dropped off the Jeep and offered to buy the Jeep from me! Another 2 days gone by and I received a huge quote for repairs. Why? The just flushed the radiator and received an oil change 6 months ago. After 6 days I received another call that the brake pads were being replaced and I now need new calipers for another $400. It’s now 5PM and it’s still not ready. I’m afraid to see how much I got ripped off from this fiasco. Right now I’m hoping they reattach the skid plates, something that Al Serra service department failed to do a few years ago.

We purchased a new RAM Truck outfitted with a snow plow

We purchased a new RAM Truck outfitted with a snow plow early this year. It overheated in the way home. Several trips to the shop later the vehicle still overheats with the plow on it, pretty much regardless of outside air temperature or speed driven. It appears LaFontaine has no interest in resolving this issue, leaving us with a pretty useless snow ow truck for this coming winter.

My 70-year-old mother took her Jeep Cherokee here for

My 70-year-old mother took her Jeep Cherokee here for brake service. They supposedly inspected the brakes and told her that it needed back brakes but that the front brakes were good, it was also leaking some brake fluid. She had them do the service work to replace her rear brakes. When she got the car back the front brakes were scrapping. We took the car to another shop, and they informed us that the front brakes were mental on metal and that the leak had never been fixed. We had the second shop fix the issues, but my mother now feels like they deliberately lied to her. I would recommend staying far away from this place.

The manager was supposed to have emailed me yesterday but has not done so as of yet. My mother called there yesterday and was told to bring the vehicle back, however, she is hesitant to do that due to trust issues related to this service encounter.
