Camelback Kia in Phoenix, Arizona is a masterclass in how

Camelback Kia in Phoenix, Arizona is a masterclass in how not to run a business. This dealership operates on deception, manipulation, and blatant disrespect for customers and their financial information. We were straight-up lied to about being approved for financing. That lie was the only reason we drove two hours to this dealership. Once we arrived, the truth came out: there was no real approval. Just another bait tactic to get bodies into the showroom. No explanation, no apology — just the expectation that we’d sit there and accept it. While the number of credit checks was normal for a vehicle purchase, what they did with that credit information was completely unacceptable. Camelback Kia pulled my father’s credit without authorization, using a separate, unrelated application that had nothing to do with the deal we were actually there for. My father did not agree to be a co-signer. He was never authorized to be used as one. Yet they involved his credit anyway. That is not a “mistake.” That is a serious violation of trust. When we questioned this, the staff became rude, dismissive, and evasive. Instead of concern or accountability, we were treated like we were the problem for noticing. The moment they realized they couldn’t pressure us into salvaging their mess, the professionalism disappeared entirely. This dealership wastes customers’ time, plays reckless games with sensitive financial information, and relies on misleading people into showing up under false pretenses. The entire experience felt predatory, calculated, and intentionally confusing — like they were hoping we wouldn’t notice what was happening behind the scenes. Car buying already requires trust. Camelback Kia has none. They lied to get us there, mishandled credit without consent, and treated us with open disrespect when confronted. Do not trust their “approvals.” Do not assume they will respect who is — and is not — authorized on a deal. And do not give this dealership access to your personal or financial information. There are plenty of honest dealerships in Arizona. Camelback Kia is not one of them.

Classic bait scam Nic told me I had a 100% approval had

Classic bait scam Nic told me I had a 100% approval had me drive 2 hours from Rio Rico to find out it was based on a co-signer I specified I did not have MULTIPLE times. I made it clear how important an approval was as I didn’t want to waste my time driving up there if they couldn’t get me approved. They told me they had a 100% approval with capital one. I went up there and it turns out they added my dad as co-signer and could not get me approved alone. So if you’re working with Nic or Nicholas RUN. The financial director is a bozo as well trying to blame everything on us when they had clear information prior to the appointment. Very unprofessional, very rude and very scammy.

Crooks, took advantage of two elderly disabled people.

Crooks, took advantage of two elderly disabled people. Sold us a car used car and 2 weeks after we had the vehicle they're telling us that we have to pay over $11,000 to fix the brakes to fix the back suspension and many other things. The used car manager Chad said that we did the damage on the brakes and the suspension. Which is absolutely ludicrous. I called for the general manager they never returned my phone call. Don't buy anything from these Crooks. It is a scam what they did to us they knew this vehicle was in bad shape and they sold it to two senior citizens and now they won't even call us back. Don't buy anything from them.

Was looking to purchase a 2025 Kia Sportage SX Prestige.

Was looking to purchase a 2025 Kia Sportage SX Prestige. Had several negotiations back and forth via email with Jacob. I schedule an appointment for 3 PM and instead I was given someone else. I have an appointment at 3 pm and the car I was looking at was not ready. Had to wait for them to get the car ready. Yes I understand Jacob had another customer before me go over but I was given a sales rep who disregarded any negotiations Jacob and I had. By 4:04, I was able to speak to Jacob and the price he quoted me increased by 2K. I absolutely hate humans who go against what they say especially when they have it on writing. Funny how yesterday the manager was willing to go low and potentially lower but today no. Okay cool. I would highly recommend not bringing your business to this trash of a dealership! If you want trash service and to pay above what they originally quoted you, please bring your money to Camelback Kia in Phoenix. If you want sales reps who don't listen, come to Camelback Kia. If you want your time wasted and you agree to one price and the price goes up when you arrive by 2K, come on down to Camelback Kia. If you want a dealership who lies to you, come on down to the worse trash dealership in all of Arizona. Please know many businesses can pay to take down negative reviews. I have no issue reposting this review.

While Jacob may have been working with another customer at the time of your arrival, we recognize how frustrating it can be to not work with the person you’d been corresponding with—especially when expectations had already been set through prior communication. We’d like the opportunity to fully understand what happened please reach out to Tammy Jarrin in our Customer Service Department at 602-249-1133.

Terrible experience.

Terrible experience. I was told my car would take two days, was there for a week. I brought it in having just been detailed and looking like brand new as I was currently selling it. It came back to me the filthiest I have ever seen it. I was speechless to say the least. There was greasy hand prints on my light colored headliner, the carpet was filthy and stained. There was liquid spills on the interior. I found chip crumbs and a straw package on the floor. And the worst part was that my door was dinged which of course, they claim was not them. We spent quite a while in the service lane trying to clean the stains off my seats and interior surfaces. Thankfully I will never have to go here again. Left messages for the service manager and service director and never heard back.

Last service visit in April 2025 I was recommended

Last service visit in April 2025 I was recommended services already preformed in Sept 2024. I realized after I paid and left with my vehicle and am pending a refund for the duplicate "work".. if they even did it. Who knows. They are unethical as I learned when I bought the vehicle. The only reason I take it there for service is due to the Zaktek paint coating they make you pay for when buying new and they are closest dealership who does Zaktek so it forces you to keep going back.

Tried them twice.

Tried them twice. Yard is a mess. Signage is confusing. More people standing around looking for an upsell then there are people working on cars. As usual there is an upsell. I expect if I brought in a brand new car, they would find “recommended services”. I tried a second time, everybody can have an off day. But this is just as bad as the first.

This place is unethical!

This place is unethical!! My family got SCAMMED. Buying/selling under false pretense is illegal. We got a trade in offer in WRITING from them today, allowed them to run credit and drive hours for this deal. Spoke with a salesman and finance who both SAID they verified with the manager on shift for the overall approved price. We just needed to come and sign papers, vehicle was detailed and all- After driving for hours to pick it up, we find out they SCAMMED us and took off $4,000 of the amount they promised for a trade in. Basically, they promote that you can get in contact with sales and get approval and buy comfortably in your home, etc. DON'T do it. They scam you just to get you in the door and then hope you will cave and buy when they offer a fraction less. Needless to say, we walked. We kept asking them to make it right but they didn't care one bit. It took about 20 min just for the manager to even listen to my husband and he didn't care what he had to say at all. Would love to figure out who the managers boss is!! And going to look into BBB and file a complaint. I hope this isn't happening to other families; it was pretty dead in there and the salesman was blowing up my phone; I just thought they needed to make a sale; they do; but they will screw you to get their top dollar.

Our goal is always to provide competitive estimates for customer trade-ins over the phone or online based on the information provided. However, as we discussed prior to arrival, a physical inspection is necessary to confirm the condition and final value. Unfortunately, upon inspection, there were significant discrepancies in the vehicle’s condition than what was shared on the phone including body damage and a prior accident that was not disclosed. Upon the final inspection we provided you with an adjusted trade offer and details based on these findings. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please feel free to contact Tammy Jarrin in our Customer Service Department at 602-249-1133 at your earliest convenience.

HORRIBLE experience buying/shopping new car at Camelback

HORRIBLE experience buying/shopping new car at Camelback Kia. They give car dealerships a bad name. Their competition accused them of “bait & switch”. I was negotiating online so have entire chat history to prove my negative experience is legitimate. After negotiating online and agreeing on OTD purchase price, they provided me a written quote. I responded within 1 hr that I’ll come in to secure the car. They then tell me that car has been sold. Salesman tells me he’ll find me he’ll find another car for me. So far a happy customer. Then the stalling and wasting of time starts. I’d continuously have to ask for status update over next 3+ weeks. I’ve been told: he is waiting on finance, ask me about insurance info, wait for next month for fresh paperwork, he see inventory but can’t write it up because no VIN assigned, etc. Tells me he can’t locate any car anywhere, etc. I found car at different dealership in town for him. He asked for VIN which I provided. He tells me there are 2 cars coming next month. Each time I press him to finalize the deal he tells me that’s cars been sold or “promised” to someone else. This dragged on for 3+ weeks until I demanded to talk to their sales director who basically tells me he will not honor the quote. He claimed the quote was VIN specific unwilling to give me same price for another same/equivalent car. Claimed I passed on the original quote so it’s my fault (even though I accepted within 1hr). After much discussion he is the one rejecting the offer. He will flat out not honor the price that was quoted on paper. 1. I think they should honor what the dealership quoted. 2. If they know they won’t honor the quote, just say so. Don’t drag me on for another 3+ weeks saying you’ll find me a new car if big boss never intended to sell me a car at that price. (Let me move on to my next dealership with best price). STAY AWAY FROM CAMELBACK HUNDAI/KIA to avoid disappointment and wasted time! Feel free to reach out for names of the sales person and sales director (big boss).
