Deceptive Dealer

Stay Away. Made a purchase less than 2 months ago and have paid over $2000 in fixes. They are not making an effort to ensure the cars are decent and drivable for sometime. Yes you are buying used but not destitute. Bought in good faith , but deceptive practice and deceptive dealer.

Great experience, professional service

I recently purchased a truck to drive around Washington, DC and short trips in the DMV. I found a truck that was clean in the interior and exterior. Subsequently, I bought the truck to a reputable mechanic who gave the vehicle a great bill of health. No problems with inspection and lots of compliments. Will refer friends and family.

STAY AWAY!!!

RUN away from this place, do not recommend!! I recently purchased a vehicle there and have spent the past month paying for very expensive repairs and it still has not passed inspection. I will have spent nearly an additional 5k on the vehicle to fix all the various problems. I will admit that they did an excellent job of hiding all the problems just enough to get an unsuspecting buyer to purchase the vehicle. It has been nothing but problems and it is one of those cases where I have put enough into repairs at this point that it's too late to sell it to someone or ever get any of my money back. I am not a mechanic by any means but I did look the vehicle over as well as I could before purchasing. It was not until I was able to get my mechanic to go over it before the truth was revealed. I checked under the vehicle for rust before I purchased it and it appeared to be ok but once it was put on a lift the amount of rust on the frame is unacceptable. The tires were worn but I didn't consider that a dealbreaker since it's a used vehicle. I had no idea I would have to pay a dealer to remove the dash entirely to fix various problems, the shocks were completely trashed, and about a dozen other problems that were not apparent when taking it for a short test drive. Stay far away from this place, as others have said in these reviews. When he told me there was no warranty I should have walked out right then. Also the $500.00 processing fee (which I did not pay) is a total scam. The owner acted as if I was really taking advantage of them by paying less than the advertised price, in reality it should have been $5000.00 less due to all the problems. I plan to drive this vehicle 3 or 4 years before trading it in for something better. Live and learn I guess but this was NOT a good deal. I also found the owner to be quite rude and condescending. They are clearly buying used vehicles at auctions, shining them up to make them appear nicer than they are, and getting them out the door as quickly as possible. I did not know until reading other reviews that they do not allow mechanics to check the vehicles over. My mechanic was unavailable to look it over the day I purchased it but it is now perfectly clear why they don't want anyone with any knowledge of vehicles looking them over. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Excellent Dealership

I was looking for a pre owned vehicle on the lot. I was looking for a car with low mileage and had my type of interest in vehicles. I was placed in the perfect car. It looked brand new being a used car and my customer service rep handled me very well. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles there, kind and knew just what I wanted based on my interests. I walked out happily and appreciate the great customer service. Ask for Mr. JAMALADDIN, president, he is the best! He is amazing and makes the process really smooth. He goes above and beyond for his customers and tries to help as much as possible. Peter ( Maryland )

No Hassle, No Pressure, No Problem!!!

I've owned a 1997 Audi Cabriolet convertible for spring and summer use since 2014. It has treated me well for 6 years but it's up to around 170K miles, has a broken top that is a pain in the rear and costs me a significant amount of money annually to "revive" after 6 months of down time. I felt it was time for a change and came across a Jaguar convertible that - lo and behold - was also a 1997. Beautiful car, but noticed it was for sale at this small dealer, who clearly has mixed reviews. I e-mailed them and made an appointment, showed up on time, only to see someone else checking out the ride as though they were VERY interested. Bummer. Turns out the prospective buyer was a former Jaguar employee for over 20 years who loved the car and wanted to buy it for his son. Selfishness aside (lol), I was very pleased when the associate P.J. honored my original appointment and allowed me to check out the car and decide before allowing this gentleman to commit to it. P.J. pulled it up front, handed me the key and - unlike what some people have claimed in their reviews - I was free to drive it around and kick the tires for a good 45 minutes in the streets of Chantilly. The price was firm and their vehicles are sold in "as-is" condition with no warranty, but every bit of research I conducted indicates that I received a great deal on this 79K mile beauty. Their showroom is small but immaculate, and you can tell that the vehicles they sell are "high end" vehicles, rather than trash. I am only a few days in, but the car is fantastic in the spring sunshine and I am looking forward to a wonderful summer with it! This place is legit, just come knowledgeable and know your red flags and warning signs when test driving and examining the vehicles. Satisfied customer!

Buyer Beware, they will sell you lemons

They will make a ticking time bomb look great until you have it for a couple of weeks. Then you notice it start to collapse and you reach out to them asking for them to fulfill their side of the deal (one month warranty) and they change what they stated to being a 2 week only warranty. The buying process is a breeze because they want to get rid of the garbage, its just the consumer who has to suffer the circumstances of having an investment remain idle on the street post purchase. I should have noticed the first red flag , the test drive is only for 10 minutes (so you can't really tell what's wrong with the car in that little amount of time). They surprisingly even used the dumbest seller trick in the book, "you can trust us, we honor our sales" which I was dumb enough to fall for before signing my name to have a shiny toy that is great at staying idle.

Misleading Sales

My daughter bought a car from them and we were told that 'out the door' (tax, title, tag) would be a certain price. My daughter went to the DMV to register her car and was told that the dealer CAN and SHOULD HAVE charged her tax when they sold her the car ($290). Nine Stars Auto did not since it was more convenient to them to pass the work onto the buyer and lead the buyer to think they were getting a good deal. Bottom line is I've bought many cars in many states (being military) over the last 30 years and never has a dealer not charged the buyer tax. I would not recommend and I would never use Nine Stars Auto again.

Highly recommended!!

I can't say enough about these guys. I bought a Lexus about a month ago and since I live in MD I took it to my regular mechanic to receive a MD inspection. There was a significant issue that required repair to pass inspection and although I bought the vehicle "As Is", PJ and his team repaired it at their expense. Additionally, due to my work schedule, need to order parts, etc. the temporary tag had expired a week or two before I could drop it back off for repair. I didn't bother mentioning it to them when I dropped off the car since it's not really their problem. Nonetheless, when I went to pick up the car, they had taken the initiative to replace the tag with a new one to give me another month to get it registered. They didn't even mention it to me, I noticed the new tag (and new expiration date) when I got home. There are 5 drivers in my house and we'll certainly be starting our search for other cars at Nine Stars Auto. Nice work fellas, I appreciate all of your efforts and you've earned my repeat business!

Scammers.

SCAMMERS will not let a mechanic look at the car. I knew the car I was looking at was too good to be true. They lied saying it was available until I mentioned having a mechanic look at it. Anybody who knows cars knows this is an gigantic red flag. I was a serious buyer. These people are scammers and I have a hard time believing any of the positive reviews. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Called other mechanics in the area and they said to stay away from any dealership on that street.

Amazing hidden find.

Flew down to Virginia yesterday and bought a 97x from these guys and they were absolutely amazing about the process. Their prices were very reasonable and they showed a level of professionalism most large dealerships lack. Love my Saab and plan on going back in a few months to find something for my wife. When someone runs a dealership this well, they will be getting my return buisness for a very long time.
