CarMax Never responded to the online informational

CarMax Never responded to the online informational request so this was not a great customer experience...even worse the customer survey they sent out requires you to fill in blanks that only apply IF you buy a car...VERY POOR potential customer interaction.

UNSATISFIED

NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. THE PHONE HAS BEEN RINGING FOR OVER FIVE MINUTES.. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SERVICE BY ANY MEANS ! ! NEVER AGAIN

DO NOT BUY FROM CARMAX!

The worst car buying and ownership experience EVER! CarMax sold me a 2015 Hyundai Tucson with 74,000 miles on it, but did not disclose that the vehicle had a faulty engine. I drove the car for just six weeks before the engine seized up and the vehicle lost all power. I had to have it towed at my own cost. I called CarMax for support or to at least honor the NYS LEMON LAW and they refused. They told me that I was on my own. They had my money and the sale of the faulty vehicle and they turned their backs on me. I am now making payments on a vehicle that is undriveable. I am considering legal action as well as contacting the NYS Attorney Generals office and the Better Business Bureau.

he simply does not care

I transferred a car from PA to upstate NY. Transportation costed me $199. The car came damaged (broken grill, deep scratches on a driver’s side), things that were not on the pictures. Asked to fix it. The manager said that I have to buy the car first and then they will change the grill, but paint on the side is ok because it is the used car. For me, obviously, it was not ok because I ordered the car in a different condition and I was ready to pay for that condition. Additionally, I did not asked about anyone’s opinion. The options that count are opinions of your customers. For some people killing is ok, for someone scratches on the car is not ok, for some car after accident is ok. Ok is very blurry word, and for everyone it is a different standards. He could see and as long as I know car is still there and he still may see that I was right, but he most likely don’t care that I paid for a different condition of the car. Even though if he would not act as a Peacock when he was with me, opened his eyes, looked at the car and then on their web site he would see that I’m right. But it looked like he simply didn’t care. Plus he said that if I don’t want to buy it, he’ll sell the car tomorrow. The thing that one of their customers pay is to get one car, got a damaged car did not bothered him at all. And it looked like it was okay situation for him. Does not matter that I paid to deliver the car. So, let’s summarize. I ordered the car with no major scratches and grill was not broken. Got opposite. If you are going to get your car damaged and the damage was not on the pictures. Manager will make you to buy it or he will sell it any way, no one cares about your money that you pay to deliver a car here. If you have complains than screw you they will sell it any way. Manager does not care about customers, and their money even though those people are paying you and for some of them it is hard to make those money. Now, I see why on many web sites you have 2 stars. I hope will not have business with you again. And I going to send this message to as many groups as possible, tell my friend and family not to do the same mistake and maybe someone will listen to me and will have less headache than I had.

Rochester Carmax the best!

We are from CNY and drove to Rochester Carmax. Every bit of dealing with this dealership was fantastic! They are professional, knowledgeable and put the customer first. Their manager is top notch. When searching for your next vehicle go the extra mile and go to ROCHESTER Carmax. Also, needed to have car serviced for small issue during 90 day warranty. Service depot. Is top notch, dealt with issue immediately, thoroughly and extremely professional..

Best car buying experience I have ever had!

I have nothing but good things to say about the Carmax in Henrietta, NY, specifically the salesman I worked with, Bill Zachary. Pretty good but ....

The Transfer process was unfriendly. The vehicle I was interested in had to be released from My hold and I had to wait until it came back on the website to request s transfer.
