Poor diagnostics, exorbitant estimate.
Four visits to finally make correct diagnosis. Estimate was nearly double of another authorized Volkswagen dealership. I am disappointed with their service department and appalled at the repair estimate.

Had a module/key cylinder replaced Jetta 2.5 2006
After having work performed at dealership we noticed anytime the unlock was pressed on the door or the key fob the trunk and gas would pop open. Besides the obvious this is a safety issue because this has us pulling over sometimes on the highway to shut the trunk if the unlock was mistaking pressed while driving with guest in the car thinking it is the window switch. We were told it was the result of having a remote start installed. Of course after removal it is still doing it. We do not trust Valenti and are done throwing money away to everyone scratching there head trying to figure out what Valenti did. So I'm writing this to warn you. Run run run far away from Valenti.

Beware the VIN Etching Charge
Scott our salesman was great. However, they do not show you the invoice until the very end. They should inform you upfront with the amount of the dealers prep fee and the fact they charge you a VIN fee of $200. I indicated I did not want it but they said it was already done on the used car. Then why pay them for it. The Business Manager was very aggressive and would not budge on this fee. I should have walked from the deal but needed a car ASAP. Other than the pressure at the end, I can definitely recommend Scott who was a gentleman and great to work with.

Diagnosing gauging during a service
I brought my car in for a 40,000 mile service which cost me a a ridiculous amount of money for a tire rotation, oil and filter change. Because my engine light was on they told me it would cost me over $120 to "diagnose" the problem. I took the car to a local mechanic who was happy to do it for nothing. It was the 02 sensor a part under warranty up to 80,000 miles. Needless to say all this information was obtained by a regular garage at not cost to me. He wrote down everything and even told me which VW dealership in CT to bring it to. Clearly he knows not to recommend Old Saybrook even though it's close to me and them. Believe the 1-2 stars, they tell the tale.

No Call back.
I sent an e mail looking at a new Touareg and I also called. First I never got a response to my e mail, and second I spoke to a salesman and Asked him to tell me what accessories this car has. He told me he was going to call me back to let me know. Well it has been over a week and haven't heard from them. This is terrible customer service, specially for a brand that is having problems selling because of the diesel scandal, and you are looking at their most expensive vehicle incredible.

Was surprised that staff did not do a better job - Given the VW situation.
