In June 2023 I had a master cylinder and vacuum pump

In June 2023 I had a master cylinder and vacuum pump changed at riverside for nearly $900. 1 yr parts guarantee. My Subaru started the same issue, brake pedal to the floor. Under warrenty, I made an appt and took my vehicle 12-15-23. I was told by the service attendee if riverside ran a diagnostic and it proved it was their part the diagnostic would be free, if not, it would cost me $165.00. The attendee told me it was a 50/50, chance, like flipping a coin. I related I am retired and on a fixed income and could not afford to "flip the coin". I would think riverside Subaru would want to assure me their parts are fine or need replaced, however, riverside did not choose to reassure me and back the confidence in their staff, instead I had to leave with the pedal going to the floor. This was a great way to not have to help a Person by giving an option they could not risk. MERRY CHRISTMAS SUBARU!

No star for the owner” of Riverside Subaru” in New Bern North Carolina, Who projects unethical business behavior to us, as paying customers I question his morals....as dishonorable....The Owner, never had the courtesy to contact us about the unprofessionalism" due to his employees...manager Bill Henderson, Dave Ethridge, James Broyhill, lying to us about the cracks in the windshield, they did not stand by their own arbitration agreement.... Business ethics as dishonorable...! I offered to forward my text messages to the owner of Riverside Subaru from his employees” admitting to the cracks in the windshield...the facts speak the truth...!

Rude and unprofessional- insulting GM

Unprofessional and rude. Insulted by a young general manager during settlement negotiations - Riverside needs to offer its employees instruction on how effectively and respectfully communicate with potential customers, not lose them due to a child-like inability to control their ego and emotions. Take your money (and time) elsewhere. The only horrible experience I’ve had with a dealership. Will not return.

great customer experience

Ariel Hodges and the entire team at Riverside Subaru were great to work with. Ariel took the time to explain all the electronics and accessories. She is a great asset to the Riverside team!!!! First class customer relations!

Service department scams

I bought by 2022 Assent at Capital Subaru in Greenville and always had a good experience there. I have my maintenance done at Riverside in New Bern as I live here. A few months ago I had a major 36,000 mile service for about $300 and told them I had a slow leak in one tire. They told me I needed all new tires. I told them I would not be purchasing at the time but to rotate and patch. The next day the tire was extremely low and in the exact same position. Clearly not rotated or patched. I got new tires elsewhere. I came in today after 5k miles. For oil change and state inspection. They suggest new filter and need new wiper blades to pass inspection (75 for the blades)… I could’ve replaced them myself for much less. I feel this dealership is always trying to make you pay more and buy more stuff. Not once have I come in here and just left with what I came in for and my car is only two years old. This is unacceptable. I will be doing my maintenance elsewhere from now on.

No service department

This block isn’t big enough to describe the service I received at service department? Have a problem with sensor that blends gas and air to run right, said nothing wrong with sensor but he couldn’t clear the code that started this problem? Instead he changes my oil, inspected it, flushed motor, and I just had all that done 2 weeks earlier!!!! Didn’t charge for inspection cause it was inspected but got charged 200$ and 5-6 hours of my time Fir NOTHING!!!!!!

I love my Crosstrek. My maintenance service went very smoothly. Check in was very fast and the car was returned in short order, and had been washed. Why did I wait so long to buy a Subaru?

I was Lied to By Bill The manager & Dave Ethridge

Riverside Subaru in New Bern, NC. treated myself and a disabled elderly man very unprofessionally, the Manager, sales associates, and the finance associate lied to me several times on the phone" they didn't honor their arbitration agreement that was signed by all" this is a breach of contract based on Riverside Subaru neglect" standing by customers satisfaction guarantee;" Buyers beware....A disabled elderly man and I purchased a pre-owned 2014 Honda Pilot on Oct.19,2021 the vehicle was purchased in the early evening and on the drive back home to Hubert, I didn't notice the two cracks in the windshield, not until the following morning 10/20/21 when I was on my way to the DMV in Morehead city, I called Riverside Subaru, to speak with the sales person Dave Ethridge, I asked him how did the vehicle pass inspection with a cracked windshield....he denied that there were cracks in the windshield, on 10/21/21 Dave Ethridge sent me a text message" I'm quoting him" the text message reads" I believe the chips has already been filled and you should have no problem driving it" his words" not mine" Dave was supposed to call me the following day but" never did. I called back to speak to Dave, on 10/22/21, Bill the manager answered my call and he asked me what was going on" I had explained the situation to him, quoting Bill the manager" his words" not mine....you drove that vehicle all the way to Hubert" I said yes" that it was dark out and I didn't see the cracks" I was watching the road" Bill stated" that vehicle should of never been sold and it should of never left the lot with a cracked windshield" he said I'll call you back. I explained to Bill the manager, that with all do respect" Riverside Subaru and I, signed an arbitration agreement" agreeing to" in the coming days if there's a problem with the vehicle that I would call Riverside Subaru first so they can fix the problem before seeking legal advice" this was explained to me by the sales associate James Broyhill II. I let Bill know" that I like my choice of vehicle" but" what I don't like is the cracked windshield and I told Bill, when it is time for me to get the vehicle inspected I won't be able to" due to the cracks in the windshield" I also suggested to Bill, that I would like for the Riverside Subaru to replace the windshield....on this call he shouted out" NO" Bill stated you have full coverage" get your insurance company to cover it........then he said I'll call you back, Bill called back and stated that he would put the check in the mail to replace the windshield I had to call back to Riverside Subaru several times in the past weeks" due to the fact" I never received the check and each time I spoke to Bill the manager he said that he posted and mailed the check himself and repeatedly" your check is in the mail" he also stated that you probably" have the check in your hands and telling me you didn't receive it....in other words Bill the manager, was calling me a liar;" It is now 11/12/21 and I still haven't received the check from Riverside Subaru which means I still didn't get the windshield replaced....! All consumers have a 72 hour contract law" consumers right to cancel a contract" it is referred to as a cooling off" period" Bill the manager of Riverside Subaru, constantly lying to me" by stating your check is in the mail" he ran out my 72 hour consumer right contract......my posting is based on the facts and the facts equal the truth.....! PS.....I have read all the other reviews people have posted and notice that the owner of Riverside Subaru has reached out to those people out of courtesy......and then on the other hand the owner of Riverside Subaru has never reached out to us" out of courtesy and here it is 3/24/22.......Also today 7/23/22
