We purchased a 2002 Nissan Altima with low mileage for our son. When we picked the car up the gas tank was on empty. Within a few days of driving the car, the "Service Engine Soon" light came on and the car needed two quarts of oil Our son took the car to a local mechanic in Stroudsburg who informed him that the engine had a cracked head gasket. Tony did not believe us and insisted that we have the car towed to his mechanic in Scranton who confirmed the diagnosis and supposedly repaired the engine after a three week wait. Within two weeks, the engine seized up while our son was driving on a major highway. Car was towed once again and wound up needing an entire rebuilt engine. The mechanic also advised us that the catalytic converter had been gutted prior to purchasing the Nissan. The 3 month insurance policy that Tony provided at time of sale paid a SMALL FRACTION of the price of the car repairs. Tony would not take any responsibility for any of our extra car repair bills. His promise of "standing behind his cars" is a fallacy! We would never advise anyone to buy a car from AME Auto. .

Since I first stepped onto the lot I was greeted with kindness by the owner, Tony. He took the time to answer all of my questions, and got me into a BMW for a great price! He even drove me home afterwards. Hands down, the best used car dealer in Scranton. Thanks again!

I live in Utica, NY which is about 150 miles north of AME Auto Sales. The day before I told Tony I was coming down to buy the car. The day I was going to drive down to buy the car I spoke with him and told him that I got the insurance cards and was taking out the cash at that moment to buy the car and that I would be there at 2 o'clock. So, my brother and I drove down there for 2.5 hours and when he arrived he told us that he just sold it someone else! Therefore, he acted as if all he cared about was selling the car to the first person he could without consideration of the people he is doing business with.

I bought a Nissan Maxima 2005 and I knew for the price I paid and the low mileage, I was going to put in some work to get the car A1. However, for a car inspected in January, it should not need an alignment, oil change, 2 new tires, & the windshield wipers came apart after the first rain! I was ok with all of that even though Tony told me the car was fully inspected and would only need an alignment. Then the service engine soon light came on. I called Tony and told him about the light and he kindly advised me that the warranty paperwork wasn't processed so I'm not covered right now (2 weeks after the purchase). The service engine soon turned out to be an oil leak which also should have been discovered during it's January "inspection". This dealer is only about flipping cars so if you're not a mechanic and care about customer service, I would go elsewhere.
