Mike Sturgeon, GM: Lies, fraud, THEFT, and crap cars.

Mike Sturgeon, GM: Lies, fraud, THEFT, and crap cars. If I heard Mike say, “I don't sell junk,” one more time. That should have been a red flag. Read the other reviews the bad ones. The good ones are all the same. And most only have 1 or 2 reviews and no other history. They’re all fakes. He admitted to “almost” buying good reviews! Now I know he did. He did it to even out all of these honest reviews and not lose business. It’s a scam. The car had issues within a block of driving off the lot. On day 5 (please note that a lot of the reviews mention day 5) he disabled it and took it back because HE LIED TO THE BANK about my down payment and they found out. He refuses to refund my down payment and we are going to court. I had a friend with me that witnesses his comment, “sometimes we have to fib to the banks to get the deals made!” And him saying how many strings he had to pull the get this deal made. The guy at the bank owes him one. They’re “buddies.” She also witnessed the down payment being passed along and the paperwork saying more than I gave. He took me to the garage to “smoke a cigarette” and asked me for more money down in a few weeks, but tell the bank I gave it all. He used a hushed voice. I was so in need, I didn’t act then and I should have. He committed fraud, encouraged me to do so as well by lying to the bank and providing “the forms we need, however we can get them,” “just have your boss or anyone, really, call to verify,” with a wink, and then got mad at me for the bank figuring out his sketchy business practices. I’m not the only one. Check cars.com, google, yelp, anywhere, really, there are a lot of us this happened to. Reach out if you’re interested in joining my attorney and myself in fighting back. I already have one and she is willing to add victims of this place’s scam to get repayment. The more victims, the easier to win, but I have all the receipts so we will win either way. She is also suing for the amount he TOLD we gave to the bank. Which is more than we actually gave. That’s what in the records. 🤷‍♀️ I cant believe I bought this smooth talkers caring facade for a second. He preyed on my situation of being seriously ill and needing transportation for work and treatments. Who steals from struggling sick people?!? Disgusting. Then they lost all of my personal information copies they made and I had to resubmit. So who has my DOB, check copies, address, SSN? Completely inept at record keeping and paperwork safety. He is now trying to blame me for this happening and it is all complete bull. It has happened to too many others for them to try and blame this on me. BUYER BEWARE not just a bad car, but you’ll literally be robbed of your down payment that he will insist is in cash to “make the deal go easier.” It’s also easier to falsify when it’s cash. Do not use cash. Save yourself. I’ll save you some labor.

Buyer Beware

DO NOT buy a car from this place.. First of all when we went here we dealt with Mike Stuergon and had a 1000 dollars to put down and after we found a car and got approved from loan company Mike told us to lie to the loan company when they called telling them we paid a 2500 dollar down payment when in reality we only paid a 1000 down. So we got the car and a week and a half later the brakes and rotors were going out so we contacted Mike telling him about the issue after he finally called back days later after numerous attempts to get ahold of him and he tells us that the loan company shorted him 700 dollars and basically he refuses to fix the brakes because the loan company shorted him 700 dollars when he told us from the beginning to let him know if we had any problems and he’d take care of it. It’s not my fault the loan company shorted him 700 dollars it’s probably his for lying on loan applications which I believe to probably be illegal which I will be calling the loan company about and reporting him for this and this dealership. I will never purchase nor recommend anyone to this dealership. They are a scam. Buyer beware…

Don’t waste Your Time or Money

Talk about the most shady, underhanded, slimball, and any other negative adjectives you can think of... Here’s the place to go. Mike, the GM, slick talking snake oil salesman. Says I don’t sell Junk. I buy a car, yes my Fault, you’re only allowed a 15min test drive, start hearing noises, take the the Dealership...Leave with a 4K estimate for repairs. Next, they repo the car in 5 days, and try to keep my Downpayment. Did you hear me say 5 Days. For 3 days, I attempt to get the car back. They finally say you can’t get it back and still attempt to keep my downpayment. Keywords, Bad Car, Slimy Salesman, 5 day Repo. And lastly attempt to keep my downpayment. #DontWasteYourMoney #IHaveTheReceipts

mechanic at Cardinal Motors

James the mechanic did an awesome job repairing a couple of things on the car before we drove it off of the lot. He went above and beyond what was expected for him to do. He was very pleasant and helpful!

Dear Ms. Vreeland, I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you've encountered with your purchase. Used vehicles can indeed a be hit or miss proposition which is why we included the ASC warranty with a zero deductible for major problems such as the engine and transmission. As far as oil changes, headlights and tires go these are standard wear items that need to be serviced regularly on any vehicle and in no way reflect a "bad car." Once again I'm sorry for your inconveniences but you were provided with several vehicle choices and chose the Pontiac. From all of us at Cardinal Motors we wish you only the best. Regards, Scott Zapf General Manager

Pleasantly surprised will buy from again

We stopped by on a whim after seeing a car (infinity QX56) that we had been talking about for almost a year. By that evening we drove it home - the staff really worked with us to get a deal that we could live with. We are still ironing out some details - so that is why there are only four stars listed, but they have been very responsive and have really been honest with us - their service guy, James is outstanding - on the sales end Mike and Anita were also great! So far we've had a really good experience with Cardinal Motors and would recommend them to others - give them a shot, you will be pleasantly surprised!
