Fraudulent dealership sold me a hail salvage poorly

Fraudulent dealership sold me a hail salvage poorly repaired and never reported the Carfax. Vehicle was shipped to me in Colorado I almost didn't purchase it when a Carfax incident popped up during the final paperwork signing that was never mentioned to me prior stating the vehicle had been in a minor incident I ceased signing paperwork at that point The salesman justn Conway immediately sent me an email saying sir it was a just a scratch or dent that was professionally repaired by the former owners under their insurance policy and I could assure you sir The vehicle isn't perfect condition. I trusted the salesman and continue signing the documents vehicle arrived almost 10 days later after final paperwork was signed with no temporary plates no documentation one key I should mention the vehicle was a 2023 Acura TLX Type S that cost just under $50,000. The vehicle was extremely dirty when it arrived even though I didn't have the plates I drove her to the car wash and washed it I noticed after washing it numerous defects with the body huge pain over spray spot on the passenger fender body panels popping away from the car not a line properly hail dense all up and down both sides of the hood large hail dent on the passenger front fender damaged to my side view driver mirror that had been glued back together and the glue had failed causing a big bulge to pop out on that same mirror it was missing a important body panel protector piece that covered the wires and internal components of the side view mirror and worst of all the car was completely repainted except for the antenna fin that was the only original OEM paint on the vehicle The rest of the vehicle was painted a different color that did not look remotely close to the original Apex Blue Pearl from Acura which was a deep blue with glitter in the paint The color they had painted the car well auto group apparently was almost a pinkish purple blue with hardly any glitter in the paint. And if that wasn't bad enough somehow the hood and the rare driver door or even a different shade of blue than the already incorrect paint that was applied to the vehicle poorly really making my car stand out and embarrass me to even drive around. The more I inspected the vehicle under my high powered shop lights in my garage which I have because I'm in 18 year auto detail specialist who caters to the wealthy across the state of Colorado and I was also a former detail shop manager for many years which one of my jobs was claims investigations at the carwash and detail shop any customer that claimed we did damage I would inspect so dissecting vehicles is something I specialize in and looking for clues I've found numerous issues on customers vehicles over the years that I've reported to them that they would have never noticed. The door jambs were all poorly painted around the lip of the hood whoever painted it didn't even take the time to spray it properly it's still down to the primer on some pieces cracks in my headlights both sides from someone removing them and not knowing how to properly install them even cuts in my bumper around the headlights somebody had cut into the bumper to refit the lights back into place absolutely insane and on top of all that my vehicle showed up with a slight crack in the windshield which only grew since then in the windshield cost $1,100. I took the vehicle to Acura right away for an inspection and the first thing they noticed was the tires were bald which I specifically asked the salesman in an email justn Conway what the condition of the tires were before the vehicle was even shipped he responded the tires are good well that was a blatant lie within a week of having the vehicle one of the tires blew on me leaving me stranded on the side of the road with my brand new $50,000 vehicle cost me another $1,100 just to buy a cheap set of hold me over tires because I couldn't afford to spend $2,000. Body shop estimate over $14,000 which is just the starting number stay away!

This is an auto sales company that specializes in selling

This is an auto sales company that specializes in selling a wide range of cars. I was in contact with a sales agent for a full day, had a deal settled on a used vehicle they had for sale, and was told to come in to complete the purchase. The following day, I arrived and was ready to trade in my current vehicle to purchase the one they had for sale. Well, I was told that this car was never for sale, and they don't know why I showed up. Actually, the customer before me was already completing the purchase of this vehicle. Therefore, the hours of communication between me and the sales agent were a waste of time. The hours of commute time back and forth to the dealership were a waste of time. And this was a bait-and-switch tactic of selling, which is illegal.

Potential buyers beware.

Potential buyers beware. This place falsely advertises cheaper car prices online and then jacks up the price when you go in to purchase the vehicle. I found a vehicle listed on their website for $32,999 and called in to check it's availability and it's price. I talked to 2 different sales people which both verified the sales price of $32,999. The next day I drove 3.5 hours to the dealership from Austin to test drive the vehicle and noticed damage on the front bumper that was not documented on the listing or reported by the sales person over the phone when asked. I also noticed during the test drive that the vehicle had a flashing battery symbol on the dash symbolizing an issue with the 12 v battery system. Furthermore, the automatic rear hatch would not function and had to me manually opened and closed. They said they would get these issues fixed no problem. We then proceeded inside to take care of the financing and the sales guy brings back the paperwork from the Finance manager with an out the door price of $52,000. The vehicle price had changed from $32,999 to $44,500 and they added $5995 of "Accessories". When I asked the finance manager about the accessories and for him to be more specific, he said that $3995 covers the dealer handling and bumper to bumper inspection. They clearly never did an inspection with there being a battery issue and the automatic hatch not functioning at all. This place is a joke and clearly needs a change in management. They rip people off with price gouging fees and forcing people to pay for exterior and interior "protectant" which is just cleaning it when they receive it from auction. Dealerships that use bait and switch tactics should be shut down for good.

I had a very disappointing experience with this

I had a very disappointing experience with this dealership. I test-drove a car, negotiated a price, and even paid for an independent pre-purchase inspection — during which I found some issues that the dealer acknowledged and verbally committed to fixing. We were in active communication about finalizing the purchase. However, without any notice, they sold the car to someone else. This kind of behavior is incredibly unprofessional and shows a lack of basic integrity and respect for serious buyers. I understand cars are in demand, but if a dealership agrees on a price and makes verbal commitments, the least they can do is honor them — or notify the customer if things change. Based on this experience and their poor communication, I can’t recommend this dealership to others. Save yourself the time and stress. I also noticed several online reviews describing similar treatment of other customers — unfortunately, my experience was no different.

This is the worst car buying experience I have ever made

This is the worst car buying experience I have ever made very the very start. They do not care about their customers or helping at all. I purchased a truck from them for my son a couple months ago. That in it self was not pleasant. But my son really liked the truck. I financed through my own bank and they were wired the money the day I picked up the truck. 3 weeks before the temp tag started to expire I called to check on the hard plates and the lady that answered the phone said she sees we paid in full on the truck but that they never sent the title and paperwork to the DMV and would look into it and call me back. So red flag there. I got busy and realized several days had past and I hadn't heard anything so I called again and the person that answered the phone said they fired that previous person as she was lieing to people and that she will give my info to her supervisor Tehya Morgan and would have her call me back. Days went by and still never got a call. So again I called that same person said she gave Tehya the messages and would make sure she called as she could not assist me and that they are low staffed. Well now my temp tag is over a week expired and still no actual help. I did actually get Tehya on the phone yesterday and she said it I sent her my current insurance card she would go to the DMV and get a new 30 temp tag for me and that her supervisor was conveniently in a meeting so she would have to call me back about my plates status. We here we are on a new day. No new temp tag, they put me on hold for 30 mins then wouldn't answer any of my calls and won't answer my emails. I guess the next thing I will have to do is go hire an attorney as all of this sounds fishy and something is not right. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

We recently bought a vehicle from Wells Auto Group and had a great experience—especially thanks to Carrien. We drove 2.5 hours to check out a car and were hopeful it would be worth the trip. Thankfully, it absolutely was. Carrien was upfront, honest, and refreshingly not pushy—definitely not your typical car salesman. After we finalized the paperwork, we pointed out a few issues we hadn’t noticed. We were a bit concerned and kicked ourselves for not noticing beforehand, but he promised to make them right. True to his word, he replaced the windshield and took care of some paint chips without hesitation. The entire process felt smooth and transparent. We really appreciate the integrity and follow-through. Highly recommend Wells Auto Group—and definitely ask for Carrien!
