Ct. Car Co. LLC "CAVEAT EMPTOR"

Having read the reviews on the service and manner of CT.Car CO. LLC., the only thing that is constant is the number of people who have suffered loss at the hands of Ct.Car Co.LLC, and their dealings. They seem to be able to use CT. law as a means of taking advantage of people looking to buy an economic vehicle. They hide behind those two words, "AS IS", as the answer to any problem they are asked to remediate. When confronted, Nick arrogantly said, "AINT HAPPENING"! Days after the purchase, the head gasket went, and when taken to a REPUTABLE mechanic, a number of other mechanical issues were discovered. Cosmetically, the car presents well and gives the sense of economy and continued service, BUT, from all the reviews I have read, they are just a fly by night company using Ct. State law to sell inferior cars. Their criteria seems to be: If it passes Ct. State emissions, it must be SAFE and drivable. This allows for anyone with an Auction License to purchase a vehicle and sell it, with no responsibity on them to make any repairs or adjustments to the safety or reliability of the vehicle. If cornered, "AS IS" becomes their Mantra.

The worst of the services

The worst of the services Last week my daughter bought a car from you and you sold her a car that lasted 3 days. When we called you because she had to return by tow truck you did not care, we trusted you with our sacrifice and savings. You are selling crap, you are non-producing land and I will do everything I can to let you know that you are the worst there is in Hartford. irresponsible.

RIP OFF

CT Carco is, without any doubt, the worst car dealership I've ever done business with. Nick is a lowlife liar, there is no other way to say it. Do yourself a favor and dont be tempted by the low prices on these turds they are selling. Nick is the singular person that gives used car dealers a bad name. Yes, I read the reviews and should have known better. CT Carco sells the cars that real dealers put in the back lot and dump at the auctions, overpriced junkers, but I found a pretty clean, low mileage Jeep there. Not every car they sell can be junk, right? Took a test drive on prearranged route, was told I couldn't go on the highway, but everything seemed ok. I bought the vehicle, and soon found out everything was not ok. Bad front brakes($600) binding and dragging harder the longer it was driven. Bad battery ($100). Bad track bar, replacement required an alignment($260). Cracked driver and passenger side mirrors($90) Remotes and programming ($125) Nick only cares about separating you from your money, and will tell you anything to make sure that happens. CT Carco is an LLC, meaning Limited Liability Company. They are often set up as a "shell" company, meaning that they can be sued, but it's nearly impossible to collect any court awarded damages. A wise move on the owner's part, considering how they take financial advantage of customers trying to get a reliable vehicle. They have ZERO respect for customers, or any interest in making things right. I was trying to get minor issue fixed, Nick refused to help, walked away in to the office, locked door behind him, and went to hide in the service bay. Very unprofessional. In summary, Nick is a lowlife liar and all around xxx. He is always on the lookout for new victims, oh, I mean customers. Cars they sell are turds. Do yourself a favor and dont even consider buying a vehicle here, unless you like being lied to, ripped off, and ignored after the sale.

Don't Even Consider This Place

These guys are frauds. Junk cars, the trailblazer I bought from Nick for 1800 blew it's transmission in 8 days. I know these are as is sales, but that's just not right. After spending a month playing phone tag, they began to screen my calls and not answer. Or say that they'd call back and never do anything of the sort. When I left a couple of stern messages about the possibility of legal action, I finally get a call back. Nick said will do nothing to make this right, to lose his number and that he'd call the police if I showed up on property. Do yourself a favor and just walk away.

More like CT Junk Co

Place is a dump. The guy goes down to the car auction up the street and buys the junky C lane cars for dirt cheap and then tries to flip them for $1000-3000 profit. We wanted to test drive a car off the lot and the guy had to put oil in the car first. Numerous friends also warned me about this place.

Awful place to buy a car

Bought a car there a while back. Was in desperate need of a vehicle. Salesman didn't even go out and walk around with us while we were looking at cars. Got stuck paying $450 for a conveyance fee for the title, seeing how we were from out of state so we took care of the registration, insurance, etc. The car failed inspection for safety, which it was guaranteed to pass. The mechanic blamed US for the messed up tail light and charged us $30 for it. After the lights where fixed the car passed inspection. Less than a month later the car completely died. When we were in the office the day the car was fixed for oj inspection we told Nick we heard a belt squealing.. he said it might be the serpentine belt. It was the timing belt PLUS water pump, and the thermostat also needed to be replaced. The brakes then seized up and everything was so rusted we had to junk the car.

Wasn't 100% Truthful, But good deal

Caught salesman in a lie. Bought car anyway. Paid cheap money, fixed what was wrong, flipped car, made $2500 clear. Beware OF $250. PAPERWORK FEE. Don't pay it. Negotiate price, never pay fee.
