Poor Customer Service

The rep helping me was kind but new. Allan did his best given the situation. I advised him I dont believe the car is safe to drive til they can get me in for service on the 20th. He went to talk to his manager a few steps away on what potential options we could do for the situation. The manager (I didnt get his name) was extremely unsympathetic stating "Its been past 30 days, we cant do anything for him. He can bring it in on the day to be serviced and that is it". I had went in very calm and understanding, even offering to trade it back toward another car if that was better. Their response was to have me get an online quote and didnt even talk to me about my situation at all. Buying the car was not a great process, and this customer service is exceptionally poor. I completely understand sometimes one's hands can be tied, but the complete lack of sympathy was uncalled for.

Made an appointment; didn’t honor it

We browsed cars on a Monday and we’re told we could not test drive until Wednesday with an appointment due to COVID. Showed up at the scheduled appointment time and was told it would be over an hour because of walk ins. What?!?

Great team

Great bunch of kids - well, to me they are young. However - GA lost my title, then Nashville lost it so I still don't have a permanent car tag. That's been a harassment but I don't think it's on Car Max. I think some state workers are using COVID as an excuse to slack off.

Buy was a good experience

Mike Smith at CarMax was awesome very easy to deal with, very friendly, not pushy. He went out of his way to help us. I would recommend him to everyone needing to purchase a good used car.

They want to keep money they aren't owed.

I purchased a vehicle on Nov. 10, 2017. I provided a check (based on the bill of sale that I was provided) for the purchase price of the vehicle, but my check was over the purchase price. They now owe me a refund. The sales person promised this wasn't a problem and I would get the refund right away. As of Feb. 13, 2018 I still don't have the refund I was owed. I have emailed the sales person that I dealt with on the sale and the Manager of that store and still no refund. Be careful
