“j experience from Go Autohaus Winnipeg Pembina Hwy back
“j experience from Go Autohaus Winnipeg Pembina Hwy back in 2019 buying a “Golf Sportwagen!” I was back this week to buy the new “2025 VW Tiguan Highline!” So what has changed at “Go Autohaus?” Like in 2019 I experienced the same friendly staff, with more of them now to help customers. What was most impressive was the ease to which the buy process was. Sales person Luciano Lalo with his incredible patience was the glue that made my purchase happen. From first contact two months ago to the final picture at handshake before driving away this sales person personifies excellence! But the buy process didn’t stop there. The customary meeting of the friendly sales manager, who happened to be Vice President Chris Moore cemented my decision to buy. Like with Luciano there was nothing but up front honest dialogue with Chris. And surprise the final process of meeting the finance representative Wade Knight brought the sale to an easy, seamless conclusion. I was able to actually find my vehicle on the lot at 10:30 yesterday, it having just arrived with its white tape intact, and drive it away same day detailed, payment made by 6:00 pm. Two other things of note. First the trade value of my 23 Honda CRV EX-L was more than fair in final negotiated price coming in $4200 higher than Honda dealers in the city. And lastly when you walk into Go Autohaus Haus you will immediately sense the carefree, relaxed, friendly atmosphere in the building. I had two other sales reps drop what they were doing to come outside to help me with technical questions. First class professionals all of them is my opinion! Garry N. Winnipeg.”

We bought a used toyota from their lot.
We bought a used toyota from their lot. I dont believe they inspect their used inventory, just a quick clean and sit on the used car values. Unfortunately we bought in winter when it was cold, dark, and the vehicle was mostly covered in snow. They had "discounted" the vehicle by a couple of thousand from the whatever average price they used for a second-hand vehicle, likely due to the scuffs and mess on the carpeting. One of the first red flags was the paint overspray on parts of the wheel trim. They verbally agreed to clean it off then did nothing. We have allergies so they agreed to "deep clean" the vehicle out of concern. More words, they just vacuumed it. In fact, there was a mouse nest on the outside part of the cabin filter that I had to remove and disinfect. Really?!!! More recently in warmer weather, we used a Bissell spot cleaner on the seats and they were very dusty and filthy. This was not from our use. Dealership cleaning for allergies: Lied, incompetent, or forgot, you decide. When we got the vehicle home and the snow finally melted off the vehicle, there was a LOT more paint overspray aronud the tailgate. The tailgate also had a bend in it with cracked paint. It appears the vehicle, which was brought in from New Brunswick, had been in a rear-end collision. Of course, this was not reported. Perhaps the previous owner had it repaired outside of an insurance claim. They were so lazy in the repair that they had neglected to hook up the rear wiper spray hose. They left it dangling in the channel of the rear hatch. The trim clips were broken and the frame seal was improperly installed so that water leaked into the vehicle when going through a car wash. The rear brakes were replaced and it turned out the brakes were not bled properly resulting in a spongy feel of the brake pedal. If you choose to buy a used vehicle from Autohaus, beware it is likely worth much less than they are asking but they will do whatever they can to keep to their price. I think they believe that if you're not going to be the sucker, someone else will be.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this dealership. After discussing and agreeing on a price, we were ready to finalize the deal in writing—only for the price to suddenly go up by $10,000. This kind of last-minute bait-and-switch is not only unprofessional but feels deceptive and disrespectful to serious buyers. I expected transparency and integrity, but unfortunately, this dealership did not deliver. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here to get everything in writing early and be wary of sudden changes.

This is an update to my review from February 7, 2025
This is an update to my review from February 7, 2025 where I gave a 1 star rating. After my initial complaint, the dealership finally took a look at my car but told me to return next winter, without resolving the underlying issue. This ongoing lack of action has only increased my frustration. My wife was the one who brought the vehicle in for the testing and they completely dismissed her questions and the manager kept referring to myself as the one that was responsible and did not address her concerns. She felt VERY upset by their actions and she 100% had the sense that they did not respect her as a woman. This was unacceptable!!!! To make matters worse, the dealership recently contacted me offering $100 to remove my post or to leave a 5-star review. This is a blatant attempt to bribe me into changing my honest feedback, and it's incredibly disappointing to see a business resort to such tactics. It’s disheartening to know that they’re more interested in manipulating reviews than in providing quality customer service. I will continue to share my experience so that others are aware of how this business operates. I’ve owned 8 Volkswagens in my lifetime, but this will definitely be the last time I deal with this dealership.

Bought low mileage demo.
Bought low mileage demo. When picking it up there was a fresh dent that wasn’t there at time of purchase. Was told “what do you expect it’s used”. Also was to have a remote starter installed as condition of sale but they were too busy to have it done and was told to make arrangements direct with installer and they would cover costs. At the time of install they did not want to pay. Had to fight for them to pay which they did but refused to pay for the extra key ($300 touch) needed for the install saying they didn’t have enough margin in the deal to do the work. Shortly after the install the horn failed. Was rudely told by CS that I broke warranty having electrical work (starter) installed and therefore they would not repair on warranty even though they were the ones originally that were to do the work. When pressed the CS manager stated they could cancel my entire warranty for having non VW work performed (at there direction). It should be noted that I took the car in for scheduled service a number of times and each time they reported on their check list the horn worked when it didn’t. I asked why they didn’t check the horn and the Service Manager got involved. He brought the young tech that worked on the car to the lobby and interrogates and humiliates him in public in a very demeaning manner in front of me. Very rude and unprofessional. I recently saw an add for a new vehicle that I was interested in and contacted the dealer for details. The response surprised me as the selling price was considerably higher than advertised. In discussions with them they stated the car must be different from the one advertised. Smells like a bait and switch. While I like my vehicle the overall experience with Knights was very disappointing and concerning.

I purchase a used vehicle in January, sales staff was
I purchase a used vehicle in January, sales staff was very nice of course because they want to make a sale, I was assured anything wrong with it in the first couple of weeks would be on them to repair. in the finance department they attempted to scare me in buying the extended warranty I declined 3 times. Saying its a very nice jeep but its a jeep, ( claiming its a problem vehicle ) I still declined. Got the keys and discovered the washer fluid was frozen, left it with then to thaw and repair and possible damage, picked it up 2 days later, discovered they hadn't completely drained the tank and was freezing within an hour of leaving, delt with that myself and discovered a cracked line for the washer fluid and the engine was running cold. Did a temp fixed and made an appointment to drop it off and have it repaired and the thermostat replaced as the engine was running cold, service department tells me thermostat is fine and hooked my temporary fix back up that fell off instead of repairing properly, I express my disappointment at which time I'm told the service manager will call me, I'm still waiting for that call. Since then I repaired the damaged hose myself and replaced the thermostat, engine is now running at proper operating temp. The service department couldnt even handle 3 simple problems. They will never see me there again. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

My wife was 38 weeks pregnant and involved in a major
My wife was 38 weeks pregnant and involved in a major accident in our 2021Tiguan, and the vehicle not only saved her life but also our daughters that was riding along with her at the time. we are so thankful to Volkswagen for making such a solid and safe product, the only thing we wanted for our family was another Tiguan. Clark Gray from autohaus VW and his team (Shaylie, and Lucas) consistently went out of their way to help us not only with the settlement and dealing with MPI, but also getting us into a replacement R-Line Tiguan. We could not be happier with the service and the product from the team at autohaus VW.

I bought a new Jetta GLI from Luciano Lalo - Client
I bought a new Jetta GLI from Luciano Lalo - Client Advisor, yesterday. It was a very pleasent experience. He was very knowledgeble, polite, respectful and friendly, as were the young ladies that helped with the paperwork and going over the cars dash instructions. The only down side was that I didn't get as much for my trade in as I thought it was worth. Isaac Thiessen
