To start, my past experience was good with Don Franklin,

To start, my past experience was good with Don Franklin, but this time I was never really asked what I was looking for in vehicle by salesman, I was just suggested a vehicle because the one I originally looked at was at a different lot. At no point in time was I asked what I was looking for in a vehicle (I assume the sales person would’ve asked qualifying questions) I traded in a Jeep Cherokee, so AWD definitely would’ve been a ideal. I also came in looking at 2024 models because of special lease promotion. But I was suggested a 2025 with no lease promotion, but told because of a 2K discount it was a great option. Which looking now was NOT a good option, but I should of looked at all options I literally expressed to my salesman 48 hours later that they had the exact model I was looking for, with similar features, less money And cheaper insurance, did not even get a reply. I was also told that my vehicle had options that it does not. So now I’m stuck in a three year lease with something that’s nice but not ideal and more costly. Take your time and study your options, don’t let the sales guy pressure you into what’s suggested if they have not even asked you what you want. Thanks for reading **UPDATE 10/9 Management offered to only be able to trade in at OVER $10k loss to exchange and to something else. So lesson learned. Your ONLY $$$ to Don Franklin Nissan.

If you're looking for car, I highly suggest you check out

If you're looking for car, I highly suggest you check out Don Franklin Lexington Nissan! I had the pleasure of working with MJ who was not only very nice but also extremely realistic and knowledgeable about my options. I am truly impressed by how hard he and the team worked to get me into a vehicle, especially considering I was bringing in some challenging circumstances. I ended up with a gorgeous car that I was very impressed with--AND had fair terms that worked within my budget. If you're considering switching up vehicles and need a place to start car shopping definitely give MJ a call!

Shame on me for using this dealership a 2nd time, BEWARE

Shame on me for using this dealership a 2nd time, BEWARE if you sign a lease you are on the hook for the property tax (in my case almost $400) and if you turn the car in at the end of the lease & do not get another car from them you will be charged $400!!! WTH?!?! Neither of these were pointed out & I only found out about the latter from a former salesman that worked there. Is this standard practices for auto dealerships in KY? No wonder people hate this process!!!

If you love overpaying for a vehicle that breaks down

If you love overpaying for a vehicle that breaks down repeatedly then i highly recommend buying a Nissan Rogue from Don Franklin. Having to coast to a gas station in the country when it’s -8 degrees is the best joy ride I’ve ever been on! Pair that with the fact that the dealership is making 0 efforts to provide a loaner or offer to pick the car up which is about 3 hours away is the icing on the cake! Add $600+ for a rental car that nissan corporate affairs “isn’t positive if they will fully reimburse.” Thanks Don Franklin for making our lives so inconveniently thrilling this time of year ! Loving 2024 so far !

We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with your vehicle . We understand how frustrating it can be to have your car break down multiple times and incur unexpected expenses. Unfortunately, if your vehicle is being repaired at another Nissan dealership, there isn't anything we can do. We did assist you with all the information you would need to have all of your out of pocket expenses with Enterprise and towing taken care of by Nissan corporate. Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns. Kristina Bishop BDC Service Manager Don Franklin Lexington Nissan 8592635020 ext 1805

I tried multiple times to negotiate a reasonable price

I tried multiple times to negotiate a reasonable price but to no avail, the truck had originally been at the dealership in Columbia, KY at a price of $3,300.00 less than their advertised price which was $45,695.00 while in Columbia, KY, but once relocated to the dealership in Lexington, KY the price was increased by the above listed price of $45,695.00 plus the $3,300.00 for a now listed price of $48,995.00 and as the truck began to set a couple of weeks at the dealership in Lexington, KY the price began to decrease in small increments to the now listed price of $46,888 ( 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Crew Cab 4WD Lexington, KY (67 mi away) $46,888 FAIR DEAL $1,059 above market ) is the listed price, here is the current link ( https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?sourceContext=carGurusHomePageModel&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=d116&zip=42718#listing=357786661/NONE/DEFAULT ) I feel a price of $43,500.00 is reasonable and that was my offer for the truck plus sales tax and dealers fees, but they were not willing to negotiate with me, so it sets unsold, I feel most all dealerships have their used vehicles priced $10,000.00 over their value. Very Dissatisfied Potential Customer!!

Leave a message. they won't call back.

First off ..good luck getting anyone from service to answer your questions with any honesty. you will get the run around. and most likely be told your issue is not warranty related. they are called "stealer"ships for this very reason. take your car to a trusted local mechanic.
