Karl in Stuart, Iowa always has friendly people and they are speedy at the oil changes. I have two vehicles serviced here every time they are due and I have never had an issue in many years.

Service department is the worst I?

Service department is the worst I?ve ever dealt with in 30 years and probably 10 different dealers. They need to take a serious customer service class!!!

very professional and friendly. answered any questions that I had. They are located in an easy location to get in and out with not a lot of traffic to contend with.

Probably fine for older vehicles

My 2017 Chevy Volt (a hybrid car) broke down in Fontanelle, IA, and I tried to find a local mechanic to fix it, to avoid high towing fees. Karl Chevrolet in Stuart, IA was the closest repair shop in the area that works on Chevy hybrids, so I had it towed there. After a couple of weeks and almost $1700, they called and said it was ready for pickup. After 60 miles of driving home to Omaha, it started having the same issues, breaking down again. Karl offered to tow it back to Stuart, but I declined, as the car was now closer to Omaha, and I didn't want to make another (or multiple) 200-mile round trip to Stuart after they attempt to fix it again. Also, given that the car experienced the exact same issues on the way home, I thought they might try the same fix again. After towing it to a mechanic in Omaha, they diagnosed a larger problem with the hybrid system. In hindsight, I should have towed it to Des Moines or Omaha, as it seems mechanics in larger markets have more experience with hybrid cars, and can determine the root cause of the issue, beyond just what the error code reader tells them. The staff at Karl Chevy in Stuart are friendly, and they probably do just fine when working on standard 20th century internal combustion engines, but for 21st century technology, I'd recommend taking your vehicle into a city.

Colorado 23

When looking for a 2023 Colorado pickup, I knew where to go. I contacted Meagan Horner at Karl Chevrolet in Stuart. We have worked with her in the past and had a great experience. She was not scheduled to work when we were able to test drive but came in anyway to help us. We made the sale and drove home that same night with our new pickup because she was able to make it happen along with all the other key people at Karl. They work hard to see that their customers are completely satisfied. Thank you to Meagan and all those who helped us with our new pickup truck. Insulting Experience

I understand that dealers and customers will rarely agree completely on the price of vehicles and subsequently on the value of any trade. Our experience was like this. But as an Army Officer and Veteran I take offense at being accused of being dishonest. I take extreme offense at being accused of being dishonest 5 times as they tried to use this as an excuse to justify their extreme low-ball offer. They kept asking "How do we earn your business". Well big tip here, you can't do that by offending me or insulting my integrity.

I would buy again from Karl

We had a decent experience purchasing the car from Karl Chevrolet. It took longer than I would have liked but it wasn't terrible. The car was better than we anticipated. overall good experience. This experience easily beat our Bob Brown purchase. I still feel sour about that bob brown experience from 6+ years ago
