I felt the vehicle I purchased was deceptively marketed

I felt the vehicle I purchased was deceptively marketed as "rust free" and "garage kept" with the frame having been painted in such a way as to purposefully hide the existence of extensive rust which, after 6 months, left several significant holes in the frame.

Great experience/

I had great experience with this dealership. Very professional, didn't push me to purchase a car. All my questions were answer. Very knowledgeable and friendly stuff. I would recommend this dealership to my friends, family and anyone who needs a car. I got my car about a month ago and so far no complaints and verry happy.

No Bargain from "Car Bargain"

RUN, don't walk AWAY from this crooked place. Rusted out holes were covered with black tape and spray paint. Parts were incorrectly installed. Repairs have almost doubled our investment. Lastly, it didn't pass inspection. Any good reviews were, obviously, written by the owner.

Definitely recommend

Hey! My name is Frankie and i just wanted to say that the customer service at Car Bargain is great. They gave me options for which cars fits me best and even helped me with making my decision before purchase. This was the first time I bought a car ever and they made it feel like a breeze. I got the right car for a good price with a warranty and I still love my car a couple months later. My tags came in 2 weeks after purchase because I paid my taxes all at once so I let them handle all the details that would be annoying for me to do.

DON'T BUY YOUR CAR HERE!

Bought a used car in 8/2020 with what I was told by the male owner at Car Bargain was a "brand new hybrid battery." This was an outright LIE! One year to the day after purchasing the vehicle, the hybrid battery died on me while out of state. Tried to locate the yellow hybrid battery warranty receipt in my files, which I remember the owner waving at me while sitting at his desk. Turns out, the owner KEPT my copy because he didn't want me to review the date closely. Why? Because the warrantly expired 10/19/19, TEN months BEFORE I even saw or purchased the vehicle in August of 2020! I visited him and he passed me over to the businessman who installed the rebuilt hybrid battery. This person was very thorough in explaining hybrid batteries to me; he was honest and willing to provide me a copy of the original hybrid battery warranty. (The owner said his copy was in storage and it would take a while to locate, yeah right). The owner at Car Bargain REFUSED to pay for any of the warranty costs for a replacement battery, plus other major mechanical failures that occurred at the same time. I spent over $2,000 to get this car back up and running again. Then there's the higher-than-promised car loan. Stay away from this dishonest car dealership! Apparent greed is at the customer's expense.

Dealer response

Car Bargain does not provide maintenance lifetime warranty on the vehicles sold. Customers take responsibility for the ownership right after purchase and taking possession of the vehicle. In this specific case customer received warranty for the hybrid battery, engine and transmission for 6 months or 6000 miles. She owned the car for 13 months and drove the vehicle over 48,000 miles before any issues occurred. Statistically the average person drives anywhere from 12,000- 15,000 miles a year. do to the nature of her job she drove 3 times as many miles within a year. Car Bargain is not responsible for any repairs or reimbursement. Thank you for your understanding.

CON ARTISTS, DO NOT BUY FROM CAR BARGAIN!

Purchased a 2005 4 Runner and was advised it was in excellent condition with no damage or rust. I had the vehicle inspected by 3 certified mechanics and it failed inspection due to rotted frame. It’ll now cost more to rebuild the truck than what it’s worth. DONT TRUST THESE GUYS, they hide behind Virginia’s poor lemon law policy and committed consumer fraud to make a quick profit. I just looked on their website and they listed 2 more trucks like mine because they are making huge profits on unsuspecting customers. I have filed a lawsuit!

Changing the repuation of car sales for the better

I will preface my review with the fact I have not owned the car for more than a day yet, but I wanted to atleast review the customer service portion of my interaction. This dealership is not only incredibly professional, they are also accomidating and easy to work with. I called ahead because I had a long drive. There were two potential cars. One of the staff members walked me through the specs on both. He didn't try to "push" products and was really honest about both cars. I informed him of my needs in a car and he reccomended one of the two. I still felt like the choice was mine, but had all the necessary information to make a good choice. Walking into the dealership, I'll admit I was sceptical. I had been to three other used dealerships in the area that day and the outside looked similar. Inside? Completely different. The waiting area was very clean. They had all relevant information, including all dealer fees, posted obviously in the waiting area. Upon walking around, there were numerous awards from reputable car agencies, like CarFax. The owner walked me out to the car I called about. They were a two hour drive for me, and put the car on hold. Someone even wanted to see the car (that left as I was walking in), but they had promised to hold the car for me. The car was in amazing condition, especially for it's age (2005 Honda Accord). There were some sligh cosmetic "flaws" like residue from a window sticker, easily fixed. Upon entering the car, I noticed something the other dealerships had not done. The car was completely detailed. There were still vaccuum "marks" in the backseat, all the interior controls were clean and looking new. I took the car for a test drive, incredibly excited. The car ran amazing. No feedback, wonderful breaks, incredible acceleration, even compared to more recent car years I had looked at. The dealership walked me through everything, even printed out the 43 service reccords from car fax. When it was time to give the loan, they were incredibly patient and accomidating. The terms of my loan were changed due to the age of the car. Instead of pushing the sale or just saying "sorry, no", they walked me through all my options. I discussed my options with my father (who has been buying cars for over thirty years now) and he weighed in. We were both impressed by how well the options were explained. I was able to manage my finances in a way that enabled me to go home with the car. If nothing else, know this, the dealership is owned by good people that aren't pushing cars. They even give a free 90 day warranty (exact conditions in the dealership). This means they trust their products and want the customer satisfied. Thank you Car Bargains!!

Unfortunately your loan was declined by the bank and not Car Bargain. The reason they declined the loan is because you provided falsified/unverifiable pay stubs. We asked for you to call the bank to prove they were legit and verify your employment.Trying to get in contact with you was difficult and you refused to call the bank and drove the car over 6,000 miles from the east coast to return the vehicle. We released the vehicle to you out of courtesy and It is not our responsibility to provide the proper consumer stipulations to the bank. If you still have any questions or doubt, please call the Finance company or review the documentation that you signed about faulting on the loan. Thank you, Car bargain

Run!!!

DO NOT buy a car from Car Bargain Warrenton You will receive neither a "car" nor a "bargain". Run away now Ownership and sales team are untrustworthy, they do not keep any promises they make. Overall, the entire experience was the worst ever, and I have been buying cars for 40 years. There are plenty of other honest, reputable, and trustworthy places in Warrenton. Save yourself grief and headache... Run, don't walk.
