DO NOT TRUST or BUY ONLINE! I want to warn anyone who is interested in buying a car from HillsBoro Auto Mart in Tampa Florida. It started off well but ended up costly for me. I Live in Cincinnati, Ohio and this is my 6th time buying a car online. The previous 5 times couldn’t have worked out more perfectly. My experience with Hillsboro is worth the warning to others. I located the car I was looking for through CarFax. Our Sales person at Hillsboro, Seif, was very helpful. He did a walk-through of the car via facetime, he told us the tires had 70% tread, he told us the car has been fully inspected and the car is in excellent condition. Once the car was delivered to our house, I took it to our local mechanic for an oil change and a run through. It was discovered the shocks and struts were leaking and the tires were completely worn on the inside. I contacted Seif and texted him pictures that my mechanic sent me of all the issues. I informed Seif the estimated cost ($4400) to replace the issued parts. At first he said he would ship us new tires for the car but that offer faded. He challenged the price and the issues even after seeing the pictures. Therefore I did a conference call with Seif and my mechanic. During the conversation Seif challenge the mechanic about his estimated cost to repair. Seif said he can order the parts through Ebay. However the parts he was referencing were not compatible with my vehicle. He didn’t understand the vehicle needs a specific type to avoid problems and avoid sensor issues. I told Seif I would take it to the BMW dealership to get another opinion. The BMW dealership confirmed all the same issues and they also corrected a recall on the vehicle that was never addressed. The BMW dealership’s estimate for everything was well over $6000. I sent the video the dealership sent me which pointed out the all same issues. At the end of the video, the BMW mechanic said, other than the mentioned issues, the car appears to be in good shape. Seif focused on that comment and said “great news the car is in good shape”. I asked him to make it right since he assured us we purchased a car in excellent condition and he also assured us all their vehicles on the lot are fully inspected. I would have never spent $23K on a car that needed $5K of work done off the top. The vehicle has turned into a project the last few weeks since I received it. Needless to say, Seif will no longer respond to my text messages, my husband’ s text messages nor will he answer our calls. The last comment via text from Seif was “You bought a used car and this is what can happen when buying a 12 year old used car”. Be aware my friends…not a good overall experience!

Buyers Beware!!
I purchased a used 2016 Camaro SS from this dealer with 38000 miles. Which wasn't the true or actual mileage on the odometer they just rounded down roughly 30 miles. Ideally the dealer only disclosed photos and videos that did not showcase any defects on the vehicle, and when asked about any defects be it major or minor to the exterior interior or mechanical. I was told there were none. Additionally I asked if the vehicle had ever been involved in an accident and I was told no. Despite doing a Vin pull after the conversation and showing that the vehicle had been in an accident with minor front end damage. I then had the vehicle transported from Tampa, FL to my home in Louisiana. Upon delivery I quickly realized that there are in fact several defects on the vehicle multiple large and small scratches on the wheels and paint. When I contacted the dealer I was told the scratches were the transport companies fault but upon reviewing their initial pick up walk around that was just another lie. When sold the vehicle I was told it was in sound mechanical condition with no issues what so over. An hour after taking delivery I finally decided to drive the vehicle for the first time. Only to discover that the vehicle would not start. The cars engine would not even turn over and after the third attempt I realized the entire car was dead. None of the electrical components worked on the car. I had a Gm mechanic glance over it briefly and determine that the battery was not dead and was unsure as to why the vehicle would not start or show any indication what so ever. I then reached out to the dealer with the concerns and as all dealers usually are they where surprised. After speaking with the dealer rep I was given a verbal agreement that they would fund any repairs needed unfortunately now I called multiple times and have been ignored each time. I am truly disgusted being that the vehicle was never driven 25 yards. Now every time I try to contact the dealer I am left unanswered.

I flew from Michigan all the way to Florida to purchase this vehicle for 57,000$ only to find out the drivers seat belt did not work also the truck was on complete empty. Very unprofessional and very bad customer service! It looked like a chop shop where they put a bandaid on a vehicle just to overprice and sell. I would never buy from them again.

Absolute worst first impression
Very rude and short while answering simple questions to see if a vehicle was still available. The attitude alone turned me off from any interest I had in purchasing a vehicle from Hillsboro Auto Mart. Come to find out...the vehicle on Cars.com was actually already sold over a year ago.

If you like it, buy it.
I had been looking for weeks trying to find the right truck for me. After finding MY truck at Hillsboro Auto Mart, I then compared the price, mileage and condition to other trucks within a 200 mile radius. What I found was that I could NOT touch another vehicle with similar mileage, condition and features for less than or equal to the price advertised here. So, If you find the vehicle you like on their lot, just buy it.
If you like it, buy it.
