The person we dealt with was Christine.
The person we dealt with was Christine. She was rude and unkind. She had no care or compassion for the situation. We told them what was wrong with our vehicle. They did 2 diagnostics and charged us over $300 to diagnose the problem we knew we had. Christine told us it took a hour and a half to replace 1 belt and charged us another $300+ for the belt to be replaced. So if you go to Chevy in Sumner it cost over $600 to get a belt replacement. What a scam. We still have a transmission problem because they would like to charge about $8000 for that. Not to mention there’s a class action lawsuit against them for transmission issues with this type of truck and year. They’re trying to skirt around replacing it and saying we’re not in compliance with maintenance on the vehicle which is ridiculous considering the trucks six years old. How can the transmission already go out. Don’t get worked on a Chevy sunset unless you enjoy overpaying! Terrible customer service, no integrity what a shame.

We’re disappointed to learn about your concerns regarding your recent visit. Sunset is committed to transparency with both diagnostics and pricing, and we want to clarify the details of the services performed on your vehicle. To diagnose your engine-noise concern as well as replace the belt, the combined cost for that work was $350 plus tax, which reflects standard labor time and parts. Your transmission concern was submitted to Compass for coverage review. Unfortunately, the claim was denied due to a lack of required maintenance, including extended intervals of 8,000–12,000 miles between oil changes and missing factory-recommended 45K services and coolant flushes. These requirements come directly from the warranty administrator, not from Sunset. You also mentioned a transmission recall; however, your vehicle does not have any open recalls related to the transmission. Even though your claim was not eligible, we still provided a discounted price to help lower your out-of-pocket cost. Sunset works diligently to provide honest diagnostics, fair pricing, and clear communication. If you’d like to go over the warranty decision, maintenance requirements, or the estimate in more detail, we’re more than willing to help walk through everything with you directly. They treat me like family. It’s always a pleasure just get my oil changed a visit. Jake Mayerhofer is my go to guy. He’s the best salesman I’ve ever worked with. Got me a good deal. However I had a little mind scare about the monthly payment, he was able to see me the next day and getting lower for me by making magic. Honestly the best car dealership I have ever gone to. They work as a team to make your dreams come true. They work with you to make you happy, rather then just focusing on selling the cars.
