I had taken my 2 Civics {2016 and 2018}, to another

I had taken my 2 Civics {2016 and 2018}, to another dealer for the Oil/Fuel and Condenser Recalls. After determinating they did everything incorrectly on both Recalls and the A/C in the 2018 did not work when they were done, I called Honda Corporate to see if take I could another dealer under the original recall to find out what was wrong. The first dealer had done so much damage to both my cars I was not willing to take either car back to the first dealer "EVER" again, they screwed up so many things up during the "Repairs". I contacted Great Lakes Honda and spoke with the Service Manager (Andrew) about my situation. He told me to bring it in. As it turned out, Andrew had unexpected business to attend to and was not at the dealership when I arrived. The whole experience from that point on was "Impressive" to say the least ! I went up to the first service writer "Matt" looking for Andrew. Although Andrew was not there, Matt found Andrew's notes in the computer. Without any questions or arguements, Matt took my car in, gave me a loaner and within 4 hours they found out the problem. I returned the loaner and got my car, free of charge. The other dealer had put too much Freon in the system, causing it to shut down. Not surprising though, as they had over filled both civics with motor oil during the Oil/Fuel Recall. (2.5 qts too much I might add-6 qts instead of 3.75 qts) I highly recommend Great Lakes Honda for repairs. As much as I dislike taking any of my vehicles to a dealer for anything, I feel VERY comfortable with Great Lakes. It sure is NICE having A/C again !

Recent purchase

Recently purchased a new Accord. The sales person, Don, was professional, friendly, quick to respond with any questions, and I would recommend anyone in the market for a vehicle to work with him. The car was originally expected to arrive 8-10 weeks from when it was ordered, but arrived much sooner, about 2 weeks after it was ordered.

Could have been better

The crv was nicely detailed, but the notes that needed to be taken by the salesman were not passed along to the dealership. So after a 2+ hour drive and a short test drive, we then needed to “haggle” etc for 2 more hours to get he agreed upon price. They let me feel like it would be ok to just walk away since the crv was in high demand and I did not feel that they actually valued my presence at the dealer. The salesman was off sick, so another fellow chipped in to help, but he was not very vested in the process.

Great Dealership

They Really Care!

Ed was great and so thorough with explaining all the bells and whistles of my new car! He even said he’s there for me at anytime I need help figuring everything all out. I will definitely go back when needed!

Came for service left with new civic

Was in to have car serviced and told service agent that I might be looking to get a new civic. She referred me to Shelton, he was amazing not pushy wanted me to be comfortable in my choice and they actually had the car I wanted on the lot. Got the car purchased and out the door the next morning easiest transaction I’ve ever had would definitely recommend them and Shelton.

I was looking for a specific car, and Great Lakes Honda

I was looking for a specific car, and Great Lakes Honda West happened to have it on their lot. I submitted an internet lead and was surprisingly called on a Sunday that the car was available. Met with Troy and agreed to purchase it. Troy recognized what I was looking for and never once pushed any products or purchases that he knew I wasn’t looking for. Very impressed with his ability to read a customer and understand what they need from him. I was able to go from phone call that the car was available, to purchasing the car in less than an hour. Took me less than 5 minutes to make it through paperwork when I arrived back at the dealership the following day to finalize purchase. Troy was waiting and ready for me. From one automotive industry professional to another, job well done here.

Ed Brewer and the team at Great Lakes Honda West have provided us with excellent experiences over the last 4 years. I just purchased our 3rd vehicle since 2018 and recommended our daughter to Ed and team and she also purchased a vehicle from them. From Ed’s personalized, knowledgeable, and caring service to the finance and service center staff’s friendliness and knowledge, we couldn’t be more pleased. I purchased the maintenance agreement on the last 3 vehicles because of my experience with their service staff. Great Dealership, Highly Recommend Shelton White

Very professional dealership. I highly recommend calling ahead and making an appointment with Shelton White. Shelton is hands down the best car salesperson I’ve ever dealt with and being almost 60 now I’ve dealt with quite a few. Highly recommend the new 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback with Touring Trim as well. I bought it for my everyday commuter for myself, but it’s roomy and with the large hatch is easy to load snd unload. It would also make a great family car. With the touring trim you’ll get leather seats, all the bells and whistles and an interior that it far and above what you’d expect in a car at this price point. The car is awesome. Thanks!
