Fees, fees, and more fees.

Fees, fees, and more fees. Price jumped from $6,500 to $12,000. They kept adding things I did not ask for that generated zero value for the end consumer. I'm ok with financing if the rate is good, but they disgusted me so much that we didn't even get there. All the other reviewers were right about these crooks.

My experience at 101 Motor was very disappointing.

My experience at 101 Motor was very disappointing. I went in expecting to pay the listed cash price, but was told about a $2,000 “trade-in fee” so imagine from 5996 to 11k even though I did not have a vehicle to trade. The price of the car also changed once I arrived, and I felt pressured toward financing instead of being allowed to simply purchase the car outright. I was also asked to sign a photo consent form, which I personally found unusual and unnecessary when all I wanted to do was buy a car. The environment came across to me as unprofessional, and it did not feel like a trustworthy process. To be fair, one of the staff members was polite and respectful, but overall my experience left me feeling misled and frustrated. In my opinion, anyone considering doing business here should be very cautious and ask plenty of questions up front.

Avoid this dealership at all costs — it’s a complete

Avoid this dealership at all costs — it’s a complete scam. Like many other reviewers have said, the prices they advertise are nothing but bait. We went through the entire process of looking at a car and were ready to buy it at the advertised price of about $8K. Then, right before signing, the price suddenly jumped to nearly $15K! When we questioned it, they claimed we had to pay almost $3,000 for “conditioning work” they supposedly did to make the car “ready to sell,” plus several other hidden fees. When we pointed out that this was false advertising, they brushed it off and told us we should have read the tiny print buried at the bottom of the ad. On top of that, they clearly push you away from paying cash because they want to lock you into their financing and squeeze even more money out of you. It’s dishonest, manipulative, and unethical. Bottom line: they are crooks. Don’t waste your time!

The staff was courteous.

The staff was courteous. Pricing is an issue. They have a statement on their footer, that the prices they show don't reflect actual price. But, that footer statement is NOT on cars.com, so I never saw it. I went to look at a Kia listed for $6,995. I had a scheduled test drive, and they couldn't even find the car, which they started looking for afer I arrived... When it came to it, they showed me a final charge of $12,000+. (I don't remember the final - it was under $13K and over 12.) Needless to say, I was caught off guard, and flat out said no. I expect there to be additional costs - taxes, fees, etc. But, nearly double?! No thanks. They even tried to get the manager involved to work the price. The manager showed me everything the sales guy showed me -- everything. "Uh-huh... He showed me all that already." They weren't willing to budge on price... Neither was I. So, I walked away. Oh, and they don't like cash paying customers. They flat out told me this, when they asked how I wanted to pay, and I told them check. "We don't like cash paying customers. We make no money, on cash paying customers." I've never met anyone who doesn't like cash paying customers. So, they basically told me they don't want to work with me from the start, and then asked me to pay closer to the $12K. No thanks... I'll keep looking. Cars.com should remove this dealer from their listings... They have an incredibly low star rating on cars.com. Yet, their Google reviews are 4.3?! How is this possible?

DONOT purchase a car here.

DONOT purchase a car here. The car we bought had the check engine light come on 10 miles after leaving the parking lot. They are difficult to contact and not helping to resolve the issue. They do not stand by their cars and are a 'typical' used car dealership- they cannot be trusted.

This place just wants your money. They will be very nice until you sign the check. They will overcharge you for a broken car. Buyer beware.
