Bad and slow servive for an oil change.

Bad and slow servive for an oil change. Rachel had a horrible attitude and didn't apologize. We were waiting for 3 hours when she realized I had added the tire rotation when they sent the upcharges through text. (By the way, rotations can be done in 10 minutes no matter what they say). My adviser would be to never add any upcharges.

2015 Subaru Forester with 75000 miles, and well cared

2015 Subaru Forester with 75000 miles, and well cared for. So-called techs don't have proper certification, as evidenced by their incompetence. Stay away. Last year the techs reported, (after they had released the freon/coolant from the AC system) that I required a new compressor and evaporator ($3500). I knew the air was working well BEFORE I rolled it in for service. Fishy. Somehow, whether intentionally or accidentally, the AC system coolant had been released while at Bert Ogden for an oil change. After I left Bert Ogden, I took my car to my auto AC guy and he found nothing wrong with the AC system- just needed a coolant recharge/refill. These people are dishonest AND incompetent. Anyone who has so little respect for their customers will lose them. We're not as stupid and naive as they assume. Go to Corpus Christi, San Antonio, or Houston if you want your vehicle to survive. Bert Ogden incredibly bad. In this case I was actually giving them a second chance only because they had informed me of having hired a new service manager. On the previous visit they had told me I needed rear brakes, when at the time the rear brakes were just barely 2 years old, and it was they who had replaced them. Apparently they don't keep records of previous service visits! Actually, on that occasion I had brought the car because I needed FRONT brakes! They were totally beat. Same old incompetent people doing the same old incompetent work. So, I had to take my car to a non-Subaru shop. They didn't do a good job, either. The brakes squeak when I back out onto the street. Ogden has created so much stress and unnecessary expense. I truly could never ever return there; not even in an emergency.

An issue arose with my 2019 Legacy, Alexis from service

An issue arose with my 2019 Legacy, Alexis from service department provided excellent customer service. He took initiative to touch bases with me in regards to a part we were waiting on and contacted me as soon as it arrived. Alexis was courteous, honest and professional through out the entire process. His was definitely an example of what great customer service should be.

Consumer response

Called 2more times with no response. E mailed Geoff Maldin who was able to get the service manager to call me. Told me they had the part for a couple weeks. Went in yesterday to get my car fixed. 2.5 hours later said my car was done handed me the wrong set of keys for the wrong car! Yep put my part in the wrong car. Can't make this up. About 1.5 hours later my car was done. Service manager never came out to take ownership of the situation.

Have been okay with Edinburg subaru service dept.

Have been okay with Edinburg subaru service dept. in past years but visit on April 4,2022 was a nightmare! Four hours to change oil and rotate tires! Told battery connections needed cleaning at cost of $99 when battery was recently bought new at this dealership + charged $19 for a spray they used after cleaning. Poor communication throughout! No seat covers used. My settings on dash were all changed and lost my record of TX mileage on trip setting! What’s happening here??

Great vehicle but bad experience

Very happy with the 2021 Forester I purchased but service and experience with the dealership was not great. When discussing the value of my trade in the salesman that had been working with me told me the check engine light was on (it was not) so they wouldn’t be able to give me as much. The finance part went well overall and I added the extended and windshield warranty. When my windshield was cracked I learned from my local dealership that the windshield warranty was through a third party and that Bert Ogden Subaru could not offer one through Subaru. Also it did not cover the cost to fix or replace like I had been told, it only covered the cost of the replacement glass not the recalibration. Lastly I ran into issues with the extended warranty not being added to my online account. I tried to fix it by calling 4 times but was never able to speak to who I needed to and was never called back so I had to make the 4 hour trip for a 5 minute fix. Vehicle is great but overall experience not so much.

The worst customer service ever! Good luck ! These...

The worst customer service ever! Good luck ! These reviews are all true ! If you want honestly and integrity. You DO NOT visit a Bert Ogden location, especially the Subaru. You will see once they have your car. ALL CUSTOMER SERVICE , TIME TABLES , COSTS, EVERYTHING goes out the window. YOU WILL ALSO NOT BE ABLE TO SPEAK WITH ANYONE ! everyone always seems to be at lunch, or away from their desks .

The worst service center anywhere

My son and I have had the worst service there on 3 different occasions. They will rob you blind there and sabotage your vehicle just so you take it back to them. Horrible I tell you.

Buyer beware

Deception and lies permeate this dealership. From start to finish, the buying process was painful and frustrating. My wife finally got the car that she wanted, but on a personal note, I will never go back to this corrupt dealership. If you go, go with the full awareness that you will not enjoy the experience.
