Complaint Against Genesis Plantation – Dishonest

Complaint Against Genesis Plantation – Dishonest Practices & Poor Service I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Genesis of Plantation, and I feel compelled to warn others about the fraudulent and deceptive practices happening at this dealership. I originally purchased a 2022 Genesis GV70 from Genesis of Weston, and it was nothing but a nightmare. The car broke down three times, requiring a new engine, a water pump replacement, and a new battery—all within a short period. However, Weston’s service department never had the necessary parts readily available, leaving me stranded multiple times. After being told that Weston didn’t have a battery in stock, I was advised to visit Genesis of Plantation for service. This is where my experience went from frustrating to outright fraudulent. Upon arrival, I was assured by Finance Manager Roh that they would trade in my defective SUV and help me into a new GV70, even though I had to downgrade due to high interest rates. I trusted that the dealership was handling the trade-in properly, only to later find out that my original vehicle was never actually traded in—it was “turned in” instead. This dealership manipulated my paperwork and falsely structured the deal, which resulted in me being hit with an unexpected $4,400 charge for a mileage discrepancy—something completely out of my control, considering the car had a replaced engine! BE WARNED: • These cars look great but are riddled with mechanical issues. • Genesis dealerships (especially Rick Case Genesis of Plantation & Weston) do not properly service their vehicles and often lack essential parts. • Their finance managers will take advantage of you, mislead you, and rig your paperwork to maximize their profits. • They do not care about their customers—only about commissions and profits. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from Genesis of Plantation or Weston, DO NOT DO IT. These dealerships are fraudulent, deceptive, and unethical, and their cars are lemons. Save yourself the stress and take your business elsewhere!

These people are the masters of bait and switch.

These people are the masters of bait and switch. I drove 45 miles each way to see/buy a car from them for which I had an appointment confirmed several times by text and voice, once by voice on my way to the dealership. Shortly after my arrival, I was advised the car "was sold yesterday". After complaining and being taken to a manager, he immediately tried to get me into a lease though it's not even a consideration because of circumstances. I would have to be desperate to return there. BEWARE.

This dealership has the worst service department I have

This dealership has the worst service department I have ever dealt with. The services advisors never return phone calls or reply to text messages, I had to constantly call and be transferred to reach the advisor I was assigned to. They simply don't care. I would never purchase or lease a car from any Rick Case dealership again.

Unfair business practices

I bought a new 2022 G80, on my first service call my headlight assembly was inoperable I.es signal light, head light on that side . A sales man approached me. And asked how would I like to get a 2023 model Trade for the same price as my car. I told him I only owed 61k and it had less then 7k miles. He said it was end of the month he could put me in a new 2023 for the same price. I asked what the catch he said none the interest rates are up so my monthly payments would be a little higher. As this would have been my third purchase from Rich Case I trusted them and accepted the deal. The presented a mound of paperwork which I trustingly signed. I left with my purchase when I got home and had time to read the book of signed paperwork I found that they lied to me my61k purchase was really 79k purchase they acted on GAP insurance, theft retrieval program, prepaid maintenance and a host of other money making and needless extras. I phoned the sales person who admitted to his untrue representations, I had a meeting with the GM, salesperson either to be given the deal promised or cancel the deal and put me into my 7 month old same model they humiliated me and stayed you signed the deal. I trusted the Rich Case name but now to information and belief know that the dealership turned into an unscrupulous con job on unsuspecting Consumer.

Unprofessional Sales Department!

On 11/21/21 (Sunday), I inquired about purchasing a new 3.3 V6 G70 that was advertised for sell on the Rick Case Plantation website. The website showed that stock #HNU0088329 (the G70) was available and ready to be sold. So, I entered my information and waited for a call. Shortly after, an online salesperson by the name of Jordan called me to confirm that it was there, and had me come in for an appointment to purchase the car. I went there in the rain, and was told by an on-site salesperson that the car was a laoner and was not for sell. I thought the salesman response was unacceptable because I'm quite sure the online salesperson shares the same computer inventory system that he shares, and I informed him that the communication between the two should have been more professional than what they demonstrated. In summation, the service was unprofessional.

Not trustworthy

This dealership is not trustworthy ! I was trying to buy a Genesis GV80. I was dealing with the internet manager and was promised the vehicle would be up front clean and ready to purchase. We finished the online purchase option and the numbers were fair. I TOLD the manager it is an hour drive and have the car and the keys waiting for our arrival. HE even called on the way there to reconfirm. NEEDLESS to say they sold the vehicle to someone else while I was reconfirmed ten minutes out. THE GM FARES did not apologize AND kept rambling that they had a CASH deal on it. Why that would matter. I gave RICK CASE credit knowing how good a person Rita Case is. Oh Well whats two hours of my time. THEY even had a sales person smoking a cigar around the GM in front of the dealership. I was embarrassed my wife had to see this all transpire.
