This dealership will lie to you, waste your time, then

This dealership will lie to you, waste your time, then insult you and your family on top of that; do not trust them. They actively asked me to trade my car into them as part of the purchase of a car from them. After taking the time to empty and prep the vehicle, they proceeded to claim they sold the car before I could bring in the trade-in, then attempted to use that to bait me into an inferior alternative they had on the lot. The sales manager then insulted me and my father for good measure.

This dealership is unethical and incompetent.

This dealership is unethical and incompetent. My car had a leaking turbo exhaust gasket in which they attempted to fix 6 months ago, costing $6,0000+. 6 months and only 6,000 miles later I am back at the dealership and they refused to take responsibility for the previous failed work done. They gave me a new quote to redo the work and denyed that the work was warrantied. They insultingly offered me 10% off the work, that later turned into 50% off the work acting like they were doing me a huge favor. I still questioned the general manager Marty Facht and service Manager Robin Eisenberg about why the work didn’t hold up and why the work was not warrantied. They replied with “if you pay this time we will do it right and the work will be covered” since I wouldn’t just be paying a deductible. They insulted me and talked to me with such a low level of respect calling me “honey” and saying the conversation was over after I continued to have questions. They threatened me that they would take away the 50% discount they proposed because I was questioning the ethics of the dealership based on this situation and our experiences over the past 4 years. I received a text message later that the work would be covered, but no explanation. Later I came to find out from Bernard Peltakian that indeed the work was warrantied and it was just their “misunderstanding and mistake”. Please explain to me how both the general manager and the service manager is unaware of their policies in regards to work they perform on customers vehicles. If I had agreed to the original work at the price proposed they would have taken my money and ran. It is not too far fetched that I was questioning the ethics of the dealership. It is absolutely crazy to me to think how many customers Volvo Mission Viejo has swindled money from. I could have easily fallen for their scheme and taken the pitiful 10% off and paid for them to redo the work that was actually covered under warranty. I have reached out to Marty Facht and have failed to recieve a reply. Think twice before purchasing a vehicle from this dealership and definitely do not have it serviced here.

I purchased a 2023 XC90 PHEV from Volvo Mission Viejo in

I purchased a 2023 XC90 PHEV from Volvo Mission Viejo in February. My recent first service has been frustrating. After noticing a large crack in my sunroof, I called several times to their main number over 3 days with no answer. Having no other contact method, I emailed their GM, Chris Lanza, but never received a reply. After the 6th attempt, I finally got the receptionist by phone and explained my problem. She told me no one was available in service but set me up for an appt the following week to have the sunroof replaced. When I arrived, the service advisor told me they didn't have the part (an appt should never have been schedule without the replacement). I opted to leave the car there hoping the part would show up. After a week with no part, I picked it up. For the next month, I had to follow up numerous times after each expected date of sunroof delivery was missed. I understand issues with lead-time, but the lack of communication was frustrating. During this time, I reached out to the owner's VP of Operations, Daven Anton, but also received no reply. When the sunroof finally arrived, it took three days after the appointment to finish the replacement. After two months of problems, I had hoped the repair would be higher priority. I expect to have the car for several years and I need a responsive and trustworthy service shop. I have no other choice but to use a different shop for my future service needs.

Very quick and attentive response by email and phone.

Very quick and attentive response by email and phone. They provided all the information we needed. We decided that another model of Volvo better fit or needs and we did not go through with the purchase.

Negligent service & Nightmare experience

A new 2021 xc40 displayed a service message regarding Battery/Charger critical error within the first year of ownership(<10k miles). Called volvo roadside service, and 7 hours later the vehicle was towed to the dealership, already after hours I would have to wait until the next day to get transportation. They then arranged for a rental, a subcompact economy car (nissan sentra). After 14 days of intermittent updates that they had been "working on the car" I decided I needed more information, so I stopped in after work on day 15. The tech that had been sending me updates had no new information, when I pressed for details of what had been done, he said he had no information and asked me to wait to speak with his supervisor. After sharing my experience with some potential buyers in the lobby, the supervisor led me to his office and announced that the car was ready. A little suspicious considering 5 minutes earlier the service tech responsible had no idea of the development. I asked for details, what tests had been done what was fixed, he said it took over 8 days for the vehicle to be initially looked at, then after failing some test, took another week for some to look at it again, who then replaced the 12 vt battery, which by miracle fixed the issues. They had my new car for over two weeks for what ended up being a bad 12 volt battery, and I probably wouldnt have got my car that day unless I stopped in person to find out what was going on. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

This is a review of their service department. I'll simply...

This is a review of their service department. I'll simply state the facts with the least bias as possible. 1) Scheduled a service and had a check engine light. They completed it on time and cleared the check engine light. 2) Two weeks later the check engine light is back, so took the car back to the dealership. They had it for two weeks and we were given a Hyundai Kona to drive. Bill ended up being over $1800 3) 24 hours later, a new check engine light came on and a screeching sound began that rendered the car unbearable. Four more days at the dealership, new bill was over $700 4) Immediately after driving off the lot, new mild screeching sound from the engine. Going to Volvo Orange County from now on despite it being twice the distance for us. Wishing anyone who goes to Volvo MV the best of luck.

I think the Dealership is good, fair, neat and very clean. Kyle Palmer was great, I leased 2 new Volvo’s from Kyle, 1 this past Sunday. Kyle knows his stuff and is always helpful, before, during and after the sale. Kyle is reportedly the 10th best salesman in the country. Not surprising, he deserves this achievement. I went back to MVV because of Kyle. Thx. Kyle! Bill
