St. Cloud Subaru. Horrific experience! I've never had

St. Cloud Subaru. Horrific experience! I've never had what I've experienced and the worst dealership I've dealt with since buying cars since 30 years and 23 cars. I fell through the cracks not just once in one visit but 6 instances. * My 2020 Ascent * purchased at another dealership (used) * had them order a transmission strainer * part came in and made an appointment * my appointment day at I had two different quotes * 12 Noon appt. Went over things with Adam (service) my address, phone # * I decided to get the courtesy car drop off * it's now 5:00pm. 5 hours later, no word on the car. I called. Said it was done, but didn't have my phone number or my apartment number. Told me they sent the courtesy driver out but didn't have my apartment number. (but they told they didn't have my address...hmmm) * got to the dealership with the courtesy driver. Chris (service) wasn't able to locate my invoice. He went back to the mechanics area. He found the invoice and It was under a dealership name; Guilland Chevrolet. * They didn't replace the strainer. He said they don't replace those on the Ascent. (the strainers exist on the Ascent...watching YouTube and being on the Ascent forum) I ordered that part. If you add new oil with a dirty filter, your new oil is contaminated. I brought my Amsoil CVT fluid (7 qts) I am very leery that they didn't use my oil. *Chris entered my address and phone # (three times now Parts, Sales, Service have the information). He told me the system was down earlier and that's why my information wasn't saved) *Chris said 'Joe would call you on Friday (the next business day) to make it right. This isn't the way we do business' I don't know what that means. No call. No communication. It's been 2 weeks. I just wanted to wait to see if I received a call. I may just go to Minneapolis for my servicing with Morries Subaru.

My 23 Outback was recently in for routine maintenance and

My 23 Outback was recently in for routine maintenance and two warranty issues. Routine maintenance was fine. Warranty issue one was passenger seat cooling fan malfunction- after running continuously for 30–60 -90 minutes on long drives the fan would go from whisper quiet to a grinding sound like a piece of wood being cut by a power saw. I was informed the fan was replaced but the replacement buzzes annoyingly. All one would have to do to understand this is to compare the driver seat fan, whisper quiet, to the passenger seat fan which is loud. Either the parts used are defective or the installation was improper. Very disappointing. Warranty issue two is a longstanding problem dating to the winter of 23-24, when the suspension would groan and squeak when traveling over uneven surfaces, I.e., driveway entrances and exits, breaks or uneven seams in pavement, potholes , speed humps, etc. At first, it was just the rear suspension, but over time it has affected all four wheels. I told the service advisor when I checked in the vehicle for this visit that the groaning squeaks happened when I entered the dealership driveway and all the way to the service bay. Yet nobody claims to hear anything. Suddenly I was told the tires were “cupped badly and recommended replacement”. Why now? This vehicle has been brought to dealer service for tire rotations every 6000 miles since new. The noise has been going on for almost two years and now the tires are bad? I’ve concluded that no one takes this seriously . I took my vehicle to a trusted local tire dealer who services my non-Subaru vehicle, who said he’d never heard of what I had been told. The alignment of all four wheels was corrected and I was told I could continue to drive on the tires if I wanted, since only part of the tires was affected. Since I want to get to the bottom of this, I spent over $1200 for new tires and alignment. I need to drive the vehicle extensively to determine whether or not the noise is gone. If not, I will escalate this matter to Subaru corporate. In the meantime, my oil changes and tire rotations will be performed by my trusted local shop.

I always receive good service with my Subaru Forester at The St.Cloud location. Appointments are easy to get and the repair job or maintenance is always done right and with a great attitude. I also enjoy their free shuttle service so I don't have to sit around waiting.
