Record all convos and take pics of all pages presented -

Record all convos and take pics of all pages presented - especially the ones with numbers. They switch all the numbers around with each presentation but total more than the last quote. The managers kids are running around and interrupting financial conversations. If you do not obey or happen to disagree with the Thompson manager, you will have a very unpleasant experience! Your personal info will be discussed very loudly in open areas. If the manager does not get his way, insulting names will be thrown. They will do all they can to insult, demean and beat you down until you either buy the old car they are pushing instead of the one you want or chase you as you leave. It does not have to be such a bad experience. If you go and Brian Thompson or Boe D is on site as the manager, turn around and walk out immediately! One star was given since it does not cross over into the negative, but the true rating is as low as can be for any business!

We spoke to the dealership who assured us they would hold

We spoke to the dealership who assured us they would hold a car while we drove in from out of state. They sold the car while we were on the road driving there and wasted our day.

🚨Buyer Beware – My Experience with Matt Bowers

🚨Buyer Beware – My Experience with Matt Bowers Hyundai🚨 In November 2024, I purchased a vehicle from Matt Bowers Hyundai. In just 7 months, I drove the car a total of only 2,300 miles - yet it spent 2 of those months in the shop due to repeated mechanical issues. The first problem was engine overheating. I brought it back to Matt Bowers, but they found “nothing wrong.” Three weeks later, the issue happened again. This time, I took it to a local Buick dealership who quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. But it didn’t stop there - issue after issue followed, each time requiring repairs. Even though I had an extended warranty, I still had to pay a $200 deductible per visit, and not all repairs were covered. I was throwing money away every few weeks. When I contacted Matt Bowers Hyundai for help, the only solution offered was to trade the car in and buy another one - which meant losing money and spending even more. I decided to trade it in at another dealership and ultimately lost nearly \$5,000 in the process. To make matters worse, Matt Bowers Hyundai is now refusing to sign the paperwork needed to cancel my warranty, which is blocking me from getting a possible refund. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and financially damaging. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, so I’m sharing my story as a warning to others: Think twice before buying from Matt Bowers Hyundai. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

The service manager Vinh is very solid.

The service manager Vinh is very solid. His attention to detail and his ability to explain the services being offered are unmatched. He kept me informed and returned my vehicle in a timely manner and he even cleaned it for me. His addition to this service department has changed my experience to a very positive one. I will continue to utilize this service department.

Be very wary of this company.

Be very wary of this company. Purchased a "certified pre-owned" vehicle from them. I found out that it was damaged, which is something that the "certification" process would have caught. Hmmm?!? Tried to get them to fix it. Couldn't even get them to work on it. Got another dealer to fix it. Asked original dealer to cover those repair costs. They refused...making up any and every excuse, side-step and disingenuous comment they could. Their approach appears to be: The customer is always WRONG! And somehow they keep abusing people (check out other reviews, PLEASE) and getting away with it. Sad.

I called Matt Bowers Hyundai for a service appointment

I called Matt Bowers Hyundai for a service appointment for my 2022 Santa Fe. The fuel access door was stuck and couldn't be opened. I was told the earliest appointment would be over 4 weeks later. I explained that with the door stuck closed I could not add fuel therefore the car would be unusable for over a month and requested an earlier date. Was told sorry that's the best we can do. After trying to plead my case I asked to be transferred to the General manager or Service Manager. I was told that she would have someone call me. Having received no call, I sent a message using their website contact form asking for help. I have yet to receive any contact from the dealership. I contacted the Hyundai dealer in Covington and received a next day appointment for them to open the fuel door and schedule a later return for complete repair. If you are considering buying a car from them, well I think you can guess my opinion. If you're considering buying a Santa Fe be aware that the fuel access door may stick and there is no emergency option other than prying the door open and damaging the car. It is a dealer service item only.
