BIG shout out to the service department at Baker.
BIG shout out to the service department at Baker. We live in Hilton Head but traveled to Charleston for my wife's foot surgery. After the surgery, we decided to make the 2 hour trip back home. My wife was laying in the back of our GLS 450 SUV on a mattress with her foot elevated when the air suspension system went out. That meant the back of the car was sitting almost on the wheels and every bump rocked the car, My wife was in pain every time, even with pain meds and there was no way we would make it home. So we drove 2 miles (at 5mph) to Baker where we met the service manager Pierre. He immediately recognized this was an emergency situation and put his service tech Billy right on it. Within 20 minutes with my wife still in the back of the car, Billy had diagnosed the problem (bad compressor) and, amazingly, they had one in stock. An hour later the car was fixed BUT my wife, who couldn't walk, needed a restroom before the 2 hour drive. Pierre drove us to his main showroom and grabbed an office chair with wheels. I picked up my wife and, with Pierre's assistance, wheeled her to the rest room. THIS is service...going above and beyond for a customer. My wife and I can't thank them enough and we will never forget Pierre, Billy and our experience at Baker Mercedes.

Took my Mercedes Benz GLS 450 to this location and had the absolute worst experience ever. After paying over $1000 for breaks and a hose, I picked up my car only to find that they broke my vent on the top dashboard of my car. I contacted my service provider Wes Dhaouahira, who told me that he will get the part ordered for my next appointment for tires and an alignment. Well, today I get a call from Wes saying they aren't going to fix it and they didn't do it. I asked to speak with the General Manager and it got so much worse. Pierre Renault was the absolute worst to deal with. He basically told me that the service people who fixed the car didn't break it, it was the car detailers that work for Mercedes Benz that broke it by cleaning your dashboard. And the vents are so fragile from sitting in the sun light that it was going to do that anyway. So no, we are not going to fix it because it costs $4, 200 to fix. He was super unprofessional and lacked accountability. I am cancelling my next appointment with them which would have been $1,700 because I am not giving them money to break my car and refuse to fix it. These businesses lack accountability, especially when you can admit that one of your workers broke it, but because it's too expensive to fix you refuse to do what is right. They won't see me again until we meet in court.

I explained in an e-mail (our only form of communication) that I located a better equipped vehicle, CPO and less money. The saleman SAMMIE was very angry and rude after I told him how much I appreciated his kindness and salemanship. He was very ugly in content

Upon arriving on the lot, not a single sales person came out of the building to assist. When I did finally find someone in the used car area it seemed as if they did not want to leave the air-conditioning. They handed me the keys for me to look at the car. I recently brought my 2021 Mercedes GLE 350 into Baker to have it serviced and I was SUPER impressed with the service I received from my new service advisor, Ricky! So impressed that I knew I needed to jump on here and write it publicly! Ricky was incredibly friendly and professional, answered ALL of my questions (and I had A LOT), texted me with updates as my car was being serviced, chatted with me after the service to explain what all was done and helped explain when to schedule future services! I left feeling like I had an advocate in the service department, which was SUCH a nice feeling! Ricky, thank you for your excellent service! Baker did a great thing when they hired you!

This is the worst dealership for a first time experience.
This is the worst dealership for a first time experience. I took my car in for a trim replacement on the right side of the car and got it back with the exact trim on the left side missing. The manager ask for a photo of the missing trim, so I emailed a photo because I live 2 hours from the dealership. The manager told me that he would give me a call back to replace the trim, he never did, I called him numerous times however he never took any of my calls. The service dept. Would put me on hold and never come back to the call, it's been a year now and I still haven't heard anything from the dealership or its manager. I do not recommend this dealership to any Mercedes-Benz owner!!!
