I had an extremely disappointing experience with Downtown

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Downtown Toyota of Oakland. In December 2024, I brought my 2020 Toyota RAV4 XLE in for its 60,000-mile maintenance service and was charged a price that far exceeds standard rates. The invoice lacked a clear breakdown of labor costs, and I was only offered the highest tier of service without being informed of other options, which feels misleading. I was also charged significantly more for replacement tires compared to what they would cost directly from the manufacturer—an unreasonable markup. As someone with limited car knowledge, I trusted the dealership for fair and honest service, but this experience left me feeling exploited. To make matters worse, my attempts to contact the service advisor regarding these issues have gone mostly unanswered. The lack of response and communication is unacceptable. This experience has not only been frustrating but also disheartening. It seems that being a woman with gray hair works against you when relying on so-called experts. I expected professionalism and fairness but instead feel taken advantage of. I would recommend staying clear of this dealership.
