After reading reviews and checking out the place, I chose
After reading reviews and checking out the place, I chose them because I thought they still on the reputation. Went and drove the vehicle twice gave myself time to think on it I didn’t wanna make an impulsive purchase. I also explained that I needed something safe and reliable because I was making 1600 mile trip to a family member going through severe health. They were very courteous, offered a good trade in on my vehicle. That was as far as my been pleased with Roughlock Auto went. Here it is February 2020 for the one year anniversary of purchasing my van. The van began to have severe exhaust smoke after a week of purchase. So much that someone stopped next to me when I pulled into a gas station because they thought my van was catching on fire. weeks to check. Engine light came on it coded for catalytic converter. Then the light went off. Do you think when you buy a used vehicle? Yes there may be one or two issues and nothing major. I made a review last year, and Roughlock auto replied that someone would be in touch with me. That never happened. So my $4000 vehicle needed three catalytic converter’s, one sensor, oil, drain pan as I’ve had been leaking all along(almost $4000 worth of repairs). I am not a mechanic, and thought that the exhaust smoke was related to the catalytic converter’s. I have since found out that it’s not the case it is because it needs an engine, which as a senior I am unable to afford here. I am one year later checking my oil every couple of days and making sure that I have consistent oil changes to try and hold onto the only vehicle I have it continues to have severe exhaust smoke which covers the back of the vehicle with residue. It also needs the passenger door electric sensor which I have come to find is $1500 approximately.,Also the tire sensors at think $150 apiece or more. The dash light for both of these were on at time of purchase. I was told that the door not working was probably just that there was some dirt in the track obviously not the truth, and then that the air was good and all my tires. My suggestion would be. Should you go there for a vehicle take a mechanic with you especially if you’re a woman and a senior. Each day I wonder if it’s going to be the day that the engine is going to blow. I am unable to afford a new vehicle. I am still paying on this one, they charged in order to pay the difference from the trade. Very disappointed grandma.
