this guy is big scam dealer,he used a scam system to steal my money and destroy my credit score... police law enforcement have to stop this guy before he destroy people's life...a wicked one i never see and manipulating ... i bought 2007 rav4 from him for $6800 total (service registration ,place) i give cash $2000 balance is $4800...the car service wasn't done ...i have to pay an extra cash to another mechanic to do the service... to finance the $4800 he put $12000 total and $2000 cash paid , so i now i have to pay more than $10000 to an usurpation compagny called :western fund!!! he has to be arrested!

My husband did business with Nemo for years and he is a wonderful person, now I see why his partner left Alex because his terrible person NOT A PERSON OF HIS WORD! Do not buy I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM ALEX! He sold me a HYUNDAI ACCENT with no expections sticker promising that all I have to do is take it to MVC and it will passed it is a great car mind you the first week I drove it, the engine light came on it started making loud noises that got worse over the days and time. I took it to MVC to get it expected and it was denied. That’s when I went back to ALEX and explained that my belt looks like it’s about to brake needed a new belt then a leak, and was told I needed to fix it. I had 3 codes from the MVC When I went to ALEX to explain what’s going on he stated NO WORRIES JENN TAKE IT TO NEMO IT WILL BE ON ME. I’m guessing for me to leave calm he said that mind you Nemo wasn’t here he was in his country I had to wait for him when he come back he stated you have to leave your car mind you I spent 500.00 in Lyft because I had no car to drive now that Nemo repair my car for the 3rd time. Nemo stated I owe him 380.00 because ALEX stated is not under warranty and is my problem. Mind you the car was worth 3999.00 and he required a deposit of 2,500.00 I should’ve waited and pay it off now I finance a car that cost me more then 6,000.00. This was the worst decision I made. Please stay clear! They will tell you everything is fine and to drive your car till you pass your miles for warranty and then say it’s your fault.( This is a Lesson learned that I will NEVER repeat) FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD

This place is a total rip off. I purchased a car from here and they charged me to register it. After several weeks of waiting for my plates I called them to report a problem the car and they told me to come and get my motor vehicle package and discuss the issue. When I arrived they gave me a handwritten title and told me that I paid them 700.00 for the temporary plate. The car they sold me had over $3,000.00 in repairs needed and after I paid for the repairs I sold the car. Don't buy anything from them. They changed the name of the company from costas auto to cars by aj to make people think it's a new business but all the same people work there. All positive reviews are fabricated and made by friends or themselves. These people are very dishonest!

Had a GREAT experience with Stephanie, John and Alex! Would buy from them again. Wifey totally digs her ride.

I went to purchase a car 4/4/2023 - I made a good faith deposit payment of **** dollars - the balance was to be paid by my credit union which needed the bill of sale to process the balance payment - After review of the vehicle the credit union determined the vehicle was being over priced and over sold for the year make model and milage of the car and as result they couldn't fund for that car at that price. I contacted the dealership 4/5/2023 to get my deposit back and was told I can not get my money back. !! Beware!!! They are scammers

I wouldn't even give them ONE star! I purchased a SUV back in July. ALEX swore up and down that this was a reliable truck I was purchasing. A 2014 Range Rover. Now, I know that when you buy a used car, there can be expected problems. I'm a Cadillac person. I totaled my Escalade the week before and was searching for a reliable SUV. I was NOT in the market for a Range Rover which I did not know anything about. ALEX befriended me a couple of years ago when I purchased a car for my daughter which has minimal problems which I accepted. So, I accepted his line of xx that he was going to "take care of me" and that "he would never sell me something that is garbage". He really was a wolf in sheeps clothing. I am a very trusting person. A retired firefighter with a fixed income living paycheck to paycheck. Now, here's where everything went seriously wrong. THREE days after the purchase, the hydrolic lines that support the suspension system blew. A few days later were the front control arms. Next were brakes ($1500.00) and battery ($400) A month later, a fuel injector blew. ($1400) Shortly after, the rear differential went. ($2500!) FOR TWO WEEKS NOW, my truck has been at my mechanic waiting on the part which I finally found on ebay. ALEX assured me that he would help me out with these atrocious repair bills. He has since been avoiding my calls to his dealership as well. But, in the past months SWORE TO MY FACE that he was my "friend" and he would not let me down with this. THIS TRUCK IS A COMPLETE LEMON! I can't believe people can be so dishonest to someone's face. But then again, I am a very trusting person and expect that from others. Shame on me. He even went as far to show me pictures of his newborn and offered to meet up for drinks at a Portugese restuarant in Newark like he was my buddy. It's sad to think you can get lied to with direct eye contact with a person. Again, shame on me. Right now, after 5 months of owning this vehicle, I have put over $6000.00 into repairs! Money I don't have and had to borrow from a friend. I am going to explore every LEGAL route to get this word out about his dealership and HIM especially, and warn others who are looking at cars in his lot. I plan on costing him MORE money in the future by legally condemning this place to everyone who goes there by telling them of my experience. This place is a complete scam. They went by the name "Costa's Auto" a couple of years ago. Now I'm curious why they changed names. PLEASE DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER PURCHASING A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. THEY ARE COMPLETE LIARS AND SHARKS!

This dealer Cars by Aj are very dishonest and scammers. My son sent them his $3000 down payment for a 2016 SQ5 on the 4th of March using zelle/debit card. When he went to collect the vehicle they changed the agreed downpayment from $3000 to $4000. He declined the offer because it was out of his budget and requested his $3000 downpayment back, the salemans tried to sell him another car to which he also decline the offer and asked again for his $3000 downpayment. After several attempts by phone and email he went to the dealership in person in attempt to get back his downpayment but to no avail. He then went to the Rahway Police to get help, then after he returned to the dealership again and the Manager called the same Rahway police on him. Its now the 8th of April and my son still hasnt gotten back his $3000 from them. After weeks of trying with no success, i told him to leave reviews so people would be aware of this dealership, they are now trying to get him to remove the reviews for him to get back his $3000 after weeks of begging for his own hard working money.

Please do not buy from this dealer, I bought a Toyota yesterday, they did not tell me how much the final price was, they practically refused to tell me why when I asked them they remained silent, the car came out for 7,995 dollars and the final cost was 19,000 thousand dollars. It was the biggest scam of my life. I tried to deliver the vehicle and they refused to return the initial payment that I gave 5K. They were only interested in me taking my checkbook but they never told me the cost of the car. They only asked me how much I wanted to pay monthly, practically as if it were a new car with an interest rate of 29.9. I refused to bring them my checkbook, not why I didn't have it, but why I don't want this car anymore and they won't force me to have it. Don't buy here. They don't give you a signed contract. They only say that it is electronic and the bank told me that this electronic contract is with the bank, not with them. I think they are capable of forging my signature and making a contract that I never signed. They are the worst scammers dressed as decent people because they are They make nice ones but they are worse

Don't walk, RUN AWAY from this establishment. They'll smile in your face & rob you blind. Any good review is completely fabricated.
