Poor salesperson (Darlene.
Poor salesperson (Darlene.). Made things overly complicated could not accommodate install of accessories thats we got installed at another ford dealership. Went to pickup up on the date of sale only to find the truck would not start. Then found to have a bad windshield that we are still working to replace the check they gave us did not fully cover the replacement. Battery still goes dead after a few days. Trailer plug was not operational so had to spend a day at another shop to rewire everything and replace blow fuses and damaged wires. Over charged me for plate transfer using a third party company. All I wanted was a temp tag to get me back to PA. Instead I am in a paperwork mess.

Sondra, We regret any concerns that you may have had, however despite numerous emails back and forth with Darlene, we are unaware of concerns relating to the installation of accessories. Regarding the windshield, we could have that addressed at our location, as we offered, but understanding that you live far away, offered the amount it would have cost to address the issue, which you had agreed to. The battery was replaced, and is new. We don't overcharge for DMV fees. Since you live in Pennsylvania, and we are located in New Jersey, we must use a vendor to assist with motor vehicle paperwork completion. That fee is what we are charged. We do not profit from the completion of Motor Vehicle Processing. All things we would be happy to speak about and assist with had there been any dialogue so we could work together toward a solution, which we remain available and open to.
We are not driving 3 hrs one way for service then sit for 6-8 hrs then drive 3 hrs home. on something that should have been found during inspection. The windshield from Ford was more than the check that was given. We did. Or know the price was for a cheap china made we changed it twice since picking up the truck and ended up getting a USA made one so cost was much higher. The Dead battery we came to find out was due to a short in the wiring on the trailer lights we found most of the wiring was burnt and fuses blown that’s what caused the dead battery should also have been found during inspection. We asked about having mud flaps installed told no. Asked about auxiliary switches told no. Funny our local Ford dealer said no problem. As for the registration NJ offers a temp non resident tag that we needed to go from NJ to PA. Once in PA we could transfer the plate for half the price you charged. Also you and your vender messed up since going up Truck size requires a different weight class. That paperwork was not done. So now it is the paperwork nightmare of fixing. I think your sales person needs an education on how to work with customers.
Messed up the plate transfer and forced us to use an over
Messed up the plate transfer and forced us to use an over priced third party to get it registered. All we wanted was a temp tag to get it back to PA so we could transfer it. We where also moving weight classes so that also got messed up. Truck broke down when we went to leave. Causing the service guys to have to come get it started. Then found the windshield was damaged required them to send us a check to have it replaced. Glass company changed it and we found it was not glued in correctly water was leaking into the cab. Pulled a trailer only to find out all trailer lights and plug where dead required a few hrs of wire and fuse repairs. The dealer also would not do upgrades we wanted and wanted to pay to have done so before we left we made an appointment with another ford dealer to have the work done. Less the 200 miles and four appointments for service later all things that should have been found during a inspection before sale.

I brought my truck into the dealer at 0700 for early
I brought my truck into the dealer at 0700 for early drop off. At approximately 1030 inwas contacted for elective services. I denied those. They did not address the issues brought my vehicle in for. I brought it in for was a recall for the tailgate. When I went back at approximately 315 PM, they were still unable to open my tailgate but assured me that now the part that was causing the failure was in no way related to the “recall”. There was no way it Could have been properly diagnosed with out being able to freely open the tailgate as a whole. I had gotten an oil change and tire rotation. That was the only thing done right. With my inconveniences and misdiagnosed and admitted fault they should have just made the oil change complimentary. Instead they tried to play a bait and switch game and say they were going the now $223 repair for $100 less than the diagnosed rate. They still charged me for the 2 services I had done. A simple oil change and tire rotation. It’s just mysterious that the part involved in the recall wasn’t I. Any way causing the issue. That they don’t have to worry about me EVER patronizing their dealership. This is an on going issue with their Service department trying to cut corners and then have to incur unnecessary expenses. Like I said , I know they won’t care but they will never have to worry about getting my business again. The service manager tried to sway me that he was saving me so much money after they made the mistake and admitted that they didn’t initially fix it even diagnose the issue. Without being able to open the tailgate they could not have ruled out the issue. They just didn’t like being caught in a lie which is apparently how they due business.

Sir, The night drop envelope which provided the directions for repairs that were to be completed were for the maintenance service and the recall. We apologize for the fact that the recall did not completely address the issue. While the concern regarding the tailgate was not mentioned when the car was left, we certainly expect that the tailgate concern be further investigated and diagnosed. There wasn't a particular mystery as to why the recall did not fix the issue, there are simply 2 separate issues that required repair. Any concern related to this experience we certainly do care about, and even though you had spoken with our service manager, I would make myself available to speak with you regarding your concern at your convenience.
