Utterly Disappointed and Disrespected - AVOID! I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with my recent experience at AutoNation Volkswagen Carlsbad. My intention was to purchase a vehicle, and after investing significant time and effort, including taking time off work, we were ready to buy. However, thanks to the appalling service (or lack thereof) from your salesman, Sidney Robinson, our plans were completely derailed. To learn that the vehicle we were prepared to purchase had already been sold to someone else is simply unacceptable. The lack of communication and the blatant disregard for our time and commitment is shocking. This isn't just a minor inconvenience; it's a demonstration of profound disrespect for potential customers. Sidney Robinson's handling of this situation was unprofessional and has left us with a completely negative impression of AutoNation Volkswagen Carlsbad. Frankly, if this is the standard of customer service your dealership provides, I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here to think twice and look elsewhere. My experience was a complete waste of time and incredibly frustrating. I hope that management, including General Manager Val Nazarevych, takes this feedback seriously and addresses the unacceptable practices occurring at this location. You have lost a customer who was ready to buy!!!!

This is our third time here and it was underwhelming
This is our third time here and it was underwhelming experience again. When I arrived to drop off our car there were two cars in front of me, one being helped and the other waiting. No one acknowledged my presence for about 10min, I waited and wasn't too worried. Then I went in side and was told someone would be out soon. 15min went by with nothing, then went in again and was rudely told to be patient. A bit of a bummer experience when I had an appointment and planned it early to work with my schedule.

The finance person, Billy, spent around an hour trying to
The finance person, Billy, spent around an hour trying to sell me additional packages that I did not want. Around a half dozen times he forced me to sign my name on different sheets of paper that said my monthly payment would be $369/month. Visually frustrated, he then brought out an ipad and told me to sign. He said it was for the same monthly payment. After getting back to my office and inspecting the documents he printed out, I noticed the monthly payment was $375. The exact amount of the last offer I refused. When I enquired about it, I was told it was due to a local tax error and that they would pay the difference to the principal. After a month of not seeing any documentation, nor getting answers to questions like where/when/how I should pay, I sent an email to the manager. I got a partial answer from BIlly. After telling the manager my intention of reporting this process, Billy gave me the full answer that I asked for. Given that they used the rate on my loan to discount the over payment each month, I still came out around $40 less than I would have if Billy got the loan right. Billy also made mistakes on my addresses a few times when I was in the office, and my birthday was input wrong so I was unable to get into the automated system. Both the manager and Billy was unapologetic. It seems this is business as usual at this dealership.
