STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY!!! NO TITLE, NO PRE PURCHASE INSPECTION, & WILL RAISE YOUR RATE Contacted this dealership for their Out the Door price on a ‘19 Subaru Crosstrek. Called the salesman and negotiated a slightly lower price after FaceTiming since I was out of state over 2 hours away. We were all set to drive up but he called me back and said he couldn’t do the price because NJ charges more fees for processing. It wasn’t much so I agreed and was still going to drive up but then they tell me they couldn’t process the paper work before closing. Annoyed, but we agreed to put a deposit on it to pick up the following Saturday. I provide my license, insurance, credit app to speed up the process. Followed up a couple days later to find out that they didn’t have the title even though it sat on their lot for 30 days. I kept following up and they really didn’t know when it would arrive. I asked to speak to a manager and Nick assured me the title was going to come in and stated he would stay in touch with me every four days. They did offer to refund my deposit multiple times but why would you offer to refund when they said there was no issue with the title and that I made it very clear I wanted the car. Also, Nick did not follow up with me ever so I again reached out multiple times. Finally the title came in so we worked on the financing process before driving up. Well they did what shady dealerships do and came back with a ridiculous high rate. When I said I was bringing my own financing, they magically worked for 2 hours with the lender to drop my rate 2% points. I still agreed to purchase the car upon a pre purchase inspection. Since I was over 2 hours away I offered to use an independent shop down the street from the dealership. They agreed only to call me back to say they couldn’t do that because of insurance purposes. They suggested that I could go through the car with their mechanic or bring my mechanic to them. SERIOUSLY!!! Fortunately, I found and bought the same car that is 3 years newer, larger engine, better maintained, cheaper, and 20 minutes from my house. I’m so glad I documented all my interactions with this dealership to help others avoid shady dealerships like them. I bought two cars in one week and those dealerships were amazing and didn’t play any of these games. They also didn’t charge extra fees for NJ registration fees. Avoid Ciocca Honda of York. Be careful, trust your gut, and good luck.

Have purchased four cars through Apple Honda and now

Have purchased four cars through Apple Honda and now Ciocca. Apple/Ciocca was always our go-to for purchasing cars. We purchased TWO cars at the same time this past April. The service and care through the purchase was OK but definitely not fine-tuned. They overcharged us by $3000 on the agreed on price for one car--a "mistake" on their end that they took care of after we brought it to their attention and after the loan paperwork had been completed, so we needed to pick up a check for the overcharged amount. I went to get my oil changed on the other car-a 2020 Honda CRV-four years old. The hood would not pop. I called and explained the situation-after four months with the new car the hood would not pop. It was out of warranty so they said they were not able to offer any financial assistance, but would still be more than happy to change my oil, at my expense of course. I took it to our closer and more convenient Jones Honda in Lancaster. Jones Honda explained there had been front end damage and the hood pull cord was actually rusted through and snapped. What four year old car has a pull cord that snaps? I called to share this information with Ciocca on a Monday. I never received a called back so I had the car serviced at Jones Honda and called back to Ciocca on Friday. I spoke to a manager at Ciocca Friday and they were not able to help me. The sales manager let me know there were many new people working and really wasn't able to get to the bottom of my issue, but was willing to offered a $100 service credit for future service to "compensate" my replacement cord cost and labor (which in no way covered the amount I needed to pay to replace the part. To say that I am frustrated after this interaction is an understatement. I understand things happen, but we have always been loyal Apple/Ciocca buyers and I assumed they would be willing to stand by their sale, especially with our history with them. It appears to me the hood of the car had never been popped during the maintenance check before my purchase, otherwise this issue would have been noticed. I would not recommend Ciocca Honda. To say this process has been a disappointment is an understatement.

I purchased my Honda from Apple Honda.

I purchased my Honda from Apple Honda. I now have to deal with Ciocca. I have never been so unhappy and dissatisfied with a car dealership. I’m 65 years old and always purchased new vehicles. My Honda has 20,000 miles on it. Each time I take it there for oil changes, inspection etc. they give me a list of items they want to repair. They also always charge me for a car clean up kit glove, mat and cloth for $4 or $5 dollars, unbelievable how it shows up on each bill. I will purchase my next vehicle at Faulkner in Harrisburg. Great reputable business, easy to deal with and also gives a car when one is dropped off.

Bait and switch.

Bait and switch. Had a 2014 Ridgeline picked out and was allowed to drive it home but would not pass MD inspection. They told me to bring it back up (3 hour drive) and they would replace them. When I got there they conned me into a similar Ridgeline with fewer miles. On my way out of the dealership I felt uncomfortable. The managers and sales people were looking at me and laughing. I got it home and after the first rain the windshield started leaking. Had to have the windshield replaced. Hindsight it was my fault for being so naive and embarrassed. Buyer beware.

I recently visited Apple Honda to look at a few used cards advertised on their website. The salesman I met with, JD, was outstanding and very detailed in everything we discussed. He then involved Greg as the used car sales manager to discuss our trade in. Greg was also phenomenal and went out of his way to try and help our family out with a trade and sale of a car. We ended up purchasing the vehicle elsewhere but there is NO DOUBT I will go back to Apple Honda due to my experiences with JD and Greg. I highly recommend this team.
